Great place..easy in and out 5 stars
christopher wNo body there. I just pulled into the empty uhaul lot and dropped the trailer. Got my bill via text and it was 100 dollars more than I was told it was going to be.
David JOwner was late for the pickup. Trailer had not been moved in quite awhile so tires looked low & rachets were rusty.

All of uhauls representatives were excellent to deal with and I've dealt with Norman at janesville uhaul on several occasions over the years. Always recieving the best customer service! And any incident that may arise i have been taken care of promptly. I highly recommend!

William FThe big problem here is your GPS. It says the location is .36 of a mile off, so it wont let you complete the transaction. It took 4 call to customer service over a perios of two and a half hours to get the truck we reserved. Is a good thing we took pictures of the milage, becasue your records were way off!!.

Jennifer KThe gentleman that owns and runs this facility went above and beyond to turn my disappointing experience with uhual around. I would suggest that uhual take into more consideration people lively hood when they decide at 9pm the night before to change there entire reservation location and time and screw up there entire time frame to move and cause them to have to spend more money on hotel rooms and loading help because the people they had lined up couldn't help after uhual screwed everything up. Uhual wasn't even really interested in compensating us for there screw up and the gentleman at The Woodsmith was the only one who was understanding and willing to help make things right.

Lori BThe problem was not with the location. The problem was with your system. I had a confirmed reservation of a 10 foot truck to pick up at a Uhaul location near the Reno NV airport. My son flew into Reno NV to assist my daughter with her move. He went to the Uhaul location and was told there were no trucks available!!!! The closest truck was a 2 hour drive. He made the drive and got the truck, all the time workers we had hired at $110 per hour were waiting for the truck. It was a horrible experience because you didn't live up to your promises. I will NEVER rent another Uhaul if I have any alternatives. This was the worst customer service ever.

Michael KWe originally ordered our truck at the Skyline Storage in Susanville, CA. We had a confirmation that the truck was ready and available on Sunday 3/15/20 at 10:00 am. We were there promptly at 10:00Am, and waited 45 mins, but no one showed up to open the facility. We called the Reno UHaul Scheduling Center and they really stepped up for us. They were able to find us another truck about 10 miles from our location, which was the Woodsmith location. However, we could not pick it up until after 1:00 pm. We picked up the truck and got home around 3PM. There had been a heavy snow over-night and all day on Sunday. When we took the truck to our house it was too late to load it. The next day is was completely stuck in the driveway. We lost one day just trying to get the truck we were promised and then two more days trying to get it dug out and unstuck. Had we been able to pick the truck up in the morning we would have had it loaded and out of there before the heavy snow caused it to be stuck. We had a professional come and get it out for us. The Reno Scheduling Center was terrific, and the Woodsmith location did their job. The reason I wouldn't recommend the Woodsmith location is that it is extremely cluttered with machines, the office is cluttered, the signs are hard to see or find. It is just a difficult place to do business. But we were grateful to get the truck, and the owner is a nice guy.

Angel BMore available U-Haul equipment, I wanted an 5’x8’ trailer and all this location had were 4’x8’ trailers.
JEROLD BThis was not the original place we were scheduled to pickup our truck; that location was waiting on a return and did not bother to call and tell us our rental would not be ready on time. The Woodsmith was nice, however the mess on his desk prevented a speedy rental pickup. We were there for over an hour doing paperwork. He also mentioned that the truck needed an oil change but thought “we should be ok to get to Ohio” from California.

It was without a doubt the best U-Haul experience I have had, and I have rented quite a few U-Hauls. I would go out of my way to come back & rent a U-Haul from Norm.

TONI II am not happy that my pickup location was changed after my reservation was confirmed. It cost me extra mileage. You couldn't see out the windshield it was so dirty.
Kevin BNORMS PLACE IS HARD TO EXPLAIN...BUT, HIS SERVICE TO OUR DAUGHTER ON HER MOVE TO COLORADO WAS AWESOME. HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO GET THE FAIREST PRICE AND MADE SURE THEY HAD ADEQUATE TIME TO MAKE THE SAFELY. HE WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM IN YOUR FUTURE UHAUL NEEDS!

Steve SAlthough the physical location could be off putting to some, the proprietor was competent, friendly and accommodating to my needs. It was a smooth experience, something I've found to be rare in dealing with U haul in the past.
