In San Antonio the I was robbed by the Alamo moving solutions the owner.. I have texts. Said that he didn't do it and would stop and talk to the very young worker. He stole $220. Out of my wallet I knew how much I had exactly because my daughter helped me count it. And I also gave the owner of the Alamo moving 20 tip and boy 20 tip. So I knew exactly how much money I had no one else came in or out of the apartment or came near the moving truck my purse was on the ironing board in the living area close to the kitchen. My purse was open I had faith no one would stick their hands in my privacy my purse in my wallet. I got off to put gas and all of my money was gone. I called them texted the owner he was the one who was loading the uhaul he was very sweet. He said he was getting off the freeway to talk to the young man and he told me that all my missing money would be returned by him that he would call uhaul to return my loading fee by his company and would cash app me or send me the rest in a check and would keep me updated he said that in 14 of services he had never experienced this issue had him in other words embarrassed and upset I believed him. He said this would be resolved by Saturday today is Sunday I left him texts yesterday received no response. I'm very worried uhaul set me up with this company is this a normal thing to get robbed by the people uhaul recommended to their clients. I'm appalled upset want my money back from the movers I know I'm an easy target because I'm a woman alone my sisters are very upset. I need resolution Alamo moving solutions owner promised id get back what was stolen from me. I can't believe anyone while at work would have the odassity to put his hands inside my purse open my wallet and steal all my money. My children are very upset as well they are 31 and 34 they said this is why u shouldn't have left. The movers in Corpus Christi were a joy. I'm using them again. Speedos movers. Impeccable work. The work Alamo moving solutions did was great as well except for the getting robbed for $220. That was in my wallet after I had given a tip from my heart. Please get back to me. 210-718-3806. I had rented a U-Haul for a single day and had a decent experience to begin with. The staff was nice to me and they seemed to explain things fairly well. I told them that I may have to use the truck a second day and was told to call in before closing so I didn’t get charged extra, but that was totally okay. I called before the end of the day to say I didn’t have everything out of the truck and to ask for an additional day, and I was told that if I didn’t bring the truck back immediately and move everything over to a second truck, I would be charged $200. I told them this was fine, but I didn’t have anyone to help me move over a couch to the new truck and they said no was able to help me do that. I was able to get the person to drop the charge by $100, but this should have been made clear immediately. To tell someone that they can just call in and not have any issues, then to say there will be $200 fine is predatory

The customer service lady was very rude day of picking up, and to my surprise a different lady working upon drop off was also very rude. I was charged extra for gas, and told there was half a tank even though there wasn’t. The sun visors were tore up, the tire sensor light was on, and the whole ride it felt like a ice chest or something was sitting in the back of the truck moving around… the whole time it was just the frame of the truck. This has been my worst experience with uhaul and I am a repeat customer.

Van broke down within 15 miles. Was charged full amount of prepaid mileage with no reimbursement, uhaul tow driver delivered to a different drop off and I was charged an additional fee that I had to call to get reversed. Very big inconvenience and still waiting for mileage reimbursement. Telling everyone to use a different company.

I tried to get a uhaul and was picking up after hours. When I got there the lock on the back of the truck was broken so I wasn't able to open the cargo area to get the key for the truck. I called customer service and they couldn't help me as it was after hours so instead were going to extend my time for an extra day and told me I could pick up a smaller 17' truck the next day. I called the next day on the way to pick up the new truck and was told that I had already received and returned that truck that day. I had never received any truck whatsoever. I was then told i was charged and refunded some amount of the $100 deposit i had already had to pay the first original night, but I still haven't been refunded ANY AMOUNT AT ALL. I was charged over $60 for the first 21' truck that I couldnt get because the lock was broken. And I was also charged for the 17' truck I was supposed to get instead of the first truck. I was charged milage I never drove because I never was able to pick up ANY truck in the first place or AT ALL. I talked to the manager from the Port Crosstown location who said her name was Brittany and she said I then wasn't able to pickup my 17' truck I was supposed to be getting in place of the original truck I couldn't get because it shows in the system I already received and returned that truck earlier that day, WHICH I DID NOT!!!! We drove a whole 6.2 miles from the time we rented the truck until the time we brought it back, I don’t know how yall get off charging for mileage and then charge for fuel also! Sounds like a great racket yall have going though. (it was far full, 3/8 of a tank)
Also, whoever the heck the young lady is that checked us in upon returning the truck, but she’s needs some lessons in customer service! Rude from start to finish!

Staff was amazing the lady took great care of me!! I mentioned my issues with the filthy truck and she even smelt the cat urine in the cab. She was very very apologetic even though the issues had nothing to do with her or her uhaul location. Ultimately she helped ease my stress of getting handed a nasty dirty unsafe truck and guided me to where I needed to go to get this issue resolved.

Truck was in bad condition. The front end was loose felt like wheels were going to fall off. The brakes were weak. I felt like it would not stop fast enough in a emergency while loaded. Took it back before we finished the move and used our pickup trucks.

Set up my reservation for climate controlled on SPID when I left Houston with everything I owned only to find out that they didn’t have anything available when I arrived and I had to change locations to a place I didn’t want my stuff stored and no climate control. And after all of that guess what my unit was broken into and everything I owned was stolen. While it will never be proven because no one cared to check the camera that is directly above my unit I know that it was your staff that did it because I need an access card to turn the door alarm off which the only other ones with access are your employees and they replaced my lock with a U-Haul lock that inevitably had to be cut off just to find all of my stuff gone. I will never use U-Haul again and I will go out of my way to ensure no one else I know ever does. Worst experience with any company in my entire life.

First let me start by saying that MOVING day is one of the big stresses in most peoples lives. Bring changes and financial comprises to everyone's life and when I rented my moving truck I did it online and I chose the location closest to my home that I was moving from, which was Leopard Food Mart in Corpus Christi, TX, I mad the reservation at this location cause it was close and I thought that it would ease the cost of the gas to do this, the other location was about 30 minutes farther and would require extra gas,. So Saturday morning we went to pick yup the truck and they had no record of out pick up. I immediately called and they told me that my location was not there is was on Port. Well that was news to me and I do not understand why I could not have been notified of this change. It was belying frustrating and just added more stress to the day. I only had moving help for that morning and by the time the other one got picked up, it was almost the afternoon and that left me with no help to load and unload the truck, so that left me just my fiance and myself to load two rooms and boxes I am 58 year old and disable so I could hardly do anything to help out. So that left him to load most of the stuff by himself. I am beyond upset with your company and the way that this happened. I called and spoke with several to try and see if there was going to be some kind of discount and was told no, the only way that could be done is if I had rented it for only one way. I think this is pretty bad way to take care of business especially from a company that has been in business as long as U-Haul. To see I am a unhappy and unsatisfied customer is an under statement. I would appreciate this matter being addressed with me ASAP. My next letter will be to the BBB if I do not hear back from you with an answer and solution to this matter. Check it was lengthy. Customer service representative that I spoke to the day before did not tell me that I would need to provide 3 contacts in order to rent the truck. I was not told that a photo of me beside the vehicle would be required as well. The employee issuing me the vehicle did not consider that the time spent providing all the information required was cutting into the amount of time I was given with the vehicle. I had explained to her that I would need time extended because the check in took a while. The employee extended my time by 1 hour.

This unit is advertised extremely poorly. It would not fit a 2-3 bedroom home up to 1200 square feet. On top of that there was no light in the unit. Split level is not clear that you have to go upstairs. And there were homeless people hanging out inside

There was about a 50K dollar loss at this storage. Whose fault it was remains unknown. The facility is as it appears, a maximum security place. I would choose to store again if I absolutely had to. However, I would not have opted to lose all by belongings to a storage facility.

This interior storage facility is clean and well maintained. No pests! Online pay made it easy and although prices were raised I had the option to repay at the lower previous rate. I was concerned that at the end of the lease I was told my contract ended on the 30th and not the 31st I would not only owe an additional month rent but could not end my contract until it was paid in full. A quick email to the manager cleared up the issue.

I reserved a unit that was available online before my move and confirmed the reservation that morning after loading. After being delayed because of a blowout and terrible Roadside Assistance, I called ahead to verify if we were still able to move in after hours. Then was told they had no unit for me there anymore! Then I had to frantically search for a last minute unit and wasn't able to find anything close by and could only get a unit downtown that wasn't big enough for all my stuff. Had to purchase the truck for ANOTHER day, then the next morning found out that they had a unit available that would fit my whole load. That lack of communication disrupted every plan we had made over the past month or so. Terrible coordination, but the day workers at the unit were very nice and helpful. Moral of the story, don't trust what U-haul says online, it's likely not updated...

Despite damages to my vehicle on transport due to poor/no instruction, and the lack of mattress bag(seriously?) I would have possibly returned to UHAUL, but thanks to Samantha Fernandez at Crosstown on S Port Ave, never again. The next 3 years when i move cross country annually, and throughout my military career Ill be going with absolutely anyone who is not UHAUL, and steer anyone I know away as well. The night before move-out I was burglarized, in which the thieves got access to all my keys, including my house keys, leaving me with only one vehicle and one house key. After calling twice and emailing separately and explaining this, as well as offering to provide case # and details, I received what I can only describe as the worst customer service I have ever experienced as this site manager insisted on telling me too bad, so sad, not my problem, pay me, extorting me for additional months rent. I explained that I would allow the lock to be removed or the items to be thrown out, as their value was lower than that months rent, nope, get a locksmith, Uhauls lock is not uhauls responsibility per Ms Fernandez. Fine, just seize the unit. “Thatll be an additional charge”, ok then since you wont do what I know your people are capable of, Ill do it myself “Well I cant give you access until you pay us.” Oh you mean pay the ransom for my now stolen property? Sure, Ill play your game. I had to purchase bolt cutters ($20) and a propane torch ($30) to remove my lock from the unit valued at less than the cost of these tools and avoid future “rent” payments, as well as additional applied late penalties for this highway robber very helpful guys, so incredibly classy. So now with access to my own property, I sought buyers for the property I now could not afford to keep, and what happens in this time? Someone locks my unit again with a company lock because “we cant allow unsecured items” in an enclosed facility, give me a break. Eventually I removed each of these items, but in the end, I’d rather have left my belongings on the side of the road than to ever deal with crosstown uhaul again, after all, it would have been more economical, less headaches, and I would have saved myself probably 10-12 trips and as many hours negotiating this dumpster fire.

I have been with this UHAUL for over five years so I can honestly say they are worth using. I remember in the beginning having one or two minor issues such as I lost my key card or my payment didn't go through; and the manager John Medrano always helped me square things right away. I really appreciate all my questions being honestly answered even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear, because the staff remained kind and professional. I just moved out and excited to say all my expensive furniture remained intact and clean, just like the day I left them in storage, five years ago. Thank you UHAUL! I will definitely recommend and use your company again if needed!!

Every employee fight with customer. They a real giving hard time. I reserve a $80 storage unit and was forced to pay about $139. The climate control was very warm it ruined my items. I requested to order a truck to move out from you guys. They wouldn’t help and hung up. This was daytime black man and black lady. Also same issue with Hispanic daytime man and woman.
They do not help the customer at all. I want a refund.

Cancelling was more complicated than I should have been. The storage area was clean but NOT well maintained. Upstairs lockers have oversized steps to get to them and no lift access.

I had a reservation for a climate control 10x15 at the SPID location however after packing my entire house in Houston and driving 4 hours I am told at the SPID location that they don’t have any available. They referred me to their Port location so after arriving there we are given 2 storage options neither are climate controlled which is specifically what I needed. The 2 options included one that still had a mattress and other miscellaneous stuff from the previous tenant or one with Big holes in the walls and grease and dirt all over the floor. So all of mine and my families possessions are now stored in a 10x15 non climate controlled storage rooms with holes in the wall which can be accessed by the room next door but at that point I don’t have an option because they tell me I still have to get the truck back to SPID by 3pm and I was out of time. I appreciate being left stranded with no where to put my stuff because y’all messed up the reservation and the extreme lack of caring from your staff. I spent over $500 renting a truck from Uhaul which I have done several times in the past but this will be the last time I ever use U-Haul for truck or storage and I am going to make sure I tell every family member and friend exactly how my experience went And show them the pictures I took of my storage unit so they know what to expect if they ever have the need for storage or truck rental. Thank you for the worst experience possible.

When I came back to retrieve all my belongings out of my inside climate controlled unit the floor and most of my belongings were covered in rat poop. Was told by two different managers that there is nothing they can do because I didn’t purchase the extra coverage for the unit. I understood in the event of a fire, burglary, flood or something like that my stuff would not be covered. But I didn’t think that included basic housekeeping and pest control. Unbelievable, will never use again.
