Installed a hitch and it wasn’t done properly. It took them 7 hours instead of the 2-3 they said. Also ran wiring incorrectly, causing me to be without a right taillight or break light and improperly explained to me what they were doing wiring wasn’t connected properly and came off while traveling from TN to FL and Inhad to stop in the middle of the night to resolute wiring so the trailer I was towing would have lights. This is a completely unpleasant experience and I will never recommend someone go to U-Haul to have a hitch installed.

It wouldn’t hardly go up a hill and kept downshifting there was a lot of play in the steering wheel. It definitely needs to be retired or fixed one ,however the customer service was great.

Otherwise everyone was helpful and nice. The vechicle was worked great (we could have used a ramp but understandable) and everything went smoothly.

Thimas RochelleIt was clean. Only had 3/8 of a tank of gas so it was inconvenient for me to stop for gas as I was on a tight schedule. Could not adjust the passenger side mirror. Front end steering seemed worn or loose. Hard to drive. Wanted to wander on the road. Only got 9.5 miles per gallon. Great return experience.
JAMES HARPEREverytime I have ever rented a vehicle they have always brought the vehicle around the front, this time I was told to walk around to the back lot and pick up the vehicle. On the way out of the lot I seen there was a busted mirror on the driver's side bottom mirror. When I got on the interstate to head to Sam's the vehicle would not go above 50 miles an hour without swerving all over the place. It scared me. I rented a dolly, when I got to Sam's I found out there was no dolly in the back of the vehicle. I called the rental office on my way out of the parking lot from Sam's and was hung up on. Then when I got back to uhaul I ask them to load the dolly they told me that I had to load it. I am a sixty year old woman and they couldn't be bothered with loading the dolly when I asked why they hung up on me when I called them to report how bad the vehicle was they said it was because I was yelling. I told them it was because the damned thing was loud so I didn't realize I was shouting. When I returned the vehicle I was mad because that is the worst service and rental I have ever gotten from uhaul. Everyone of those people was rude and lazy as hell. Worst experience ever

Your staff was very helpful with the hassles of the broken truck. How often is routine maintenance done on your vehicles? I lost all trust in your reliability. I will never use U Haul again, and I will caution others to do the same. Aside from the great people at this location... U Haul general operations, PLEASE stop sending so many text messages and a DAMN SURVEY every f*ing time I speak with a representative. THE LINKS DON"T EVEN WORK!!

Steven CoombeThe Android version of the U-Haul app, no matter what I tried, including giving the app every permission possible, could not detect and share my location for me to use my truck. I had to borrow a friend's iPhone just to use iOS version of the app in order to return my truck. Had I not have had that friend, I would not have been able to return the truck on time.
Ryan HookHave more employees at the location. One guy was trying to help one customer at a time while the lobby was busy. The license plate didn't match the text I received. I sent a text back with the picture of the trailer and plate i did receive. No one followed up and the employee disappeared.
James McManusWhen I returned the truck, it had over a half of tank of gas in it. I asked , since you are only required to leave the truck with a quarter tank of gas, if I would get prorated any money back for the extra gas left in the truck. The attendant was extremely rude and said that’s not how that works and if I had any other questions or “problems” to call the 1-800 number. This business model is flawed, you cannot take money from paying customers. If I had returned the truck under a quarter of a tank you would have charged me. So why wouldn’t I get my money the other way?

Nyssa CollinsThe truck had over 120,000 miles on it and was clearly tired. Both cab doors were difficult to shut and had to be slammed for the door open light on the dash to go off. The radio, just turned it off since it was a short trip/project, would not stay on. Time to send this truck to auction. My interaction with the facility staff was great - coming and going. They were all prompt, courteous, and professional.
JOBY EDMONDSPersonnel met us outside as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. We didn't even have to get out of our truck. He unlatched the trailer and we were on our way. Very quick!
RICHARD STEVENSThe installation for the hitch was quick and appeared right. 2 comments regarding disappoint. 1. The wiring lead had lots of slack it and was zipped tied to the hitch with the slack wires dangling down. The employee behind the desk said that the hitch assembly did not have holder for the connector and there was not one in the store. Every hitch that I have had installed previously by U haul included this holder. 2. Uhaul did not have a plug in tester that I could insure?confirm that the wiring was correct.

Maurice ClipperI booked the reservation for a 10ft truck using the 1-800-go uhaul line and was given a price for the rental. This was not the fault of the location but after all was said and done, not including the extra miles, the end price was $30 more than what I was quoted. This was the only thing I was not happy with.

Latashia GoinsIt took forever to get the trailer hitch, but the people at U Haul put it on for me within one week of receiving the hitch at their location. I do not blame the people of U Haul for the supplier issue and they did their best to work around my schedule. I would highly recommend them for anything that you need to have done. They installed the hitch on a 2024 Equinox and it looks great.
Jimmy SchlageterThe truck needs mechanical work. It was an unpleasant ride from Michigan to Tennessee. First of all, the steering wheel was off center so the speedometer was hard to see. It also pulled real bad to the right. And lastly, there was a bad tire vibration from about 50-70 mph. It about rattled me to death

Garland SnyderRented a tow dolly and employee had me turn on my 4-way flasher to check for proper lighting. He stated everything was okay. I took him for his word and drove off. I should have checked myself to make sure the taillights worked but didn't. When I arrived at where the vehicle was to be loaded, I was told that the driver side taillight did not work. It was too late to return to the location to exchange for a tow dolly that the lights worked, as I had 200 miles to reach my destination that day. I had to be very careful when changing lanes to avoid an accident because of the bad taillight. Turns out that I received the wrong tow dolly that had been assigned to me when I turn it in at my designation. Always check yourself and do not take the word of the employee that everything is okay with the equipment.

I drive around to the right and to the end where there is more construction to reach my unit and then have to back up all the the way to the other end to exit. Other than that you run a good facility.

RICHARD HARRIS | First ImpressionsI was wanting to rent a small truck and storage unit from the same place he told me he did not have any 10-footers I think it was the truck with no sides on it as I'm leaving to go to Rutledge Park there's three in the front parking lot and he told me he didn't have any so I go to rub his pocket to pick one up and he said about picking up back to his store so he can have one I would get a free month rental on my storage unit he said if they don't handle it over there he will take care of it when I bring the truck back on Sunday so I'll come pick the truck up at Rutledge Park and tell them to run it when I get a free rental on my storage unit he said that does not affect you any at all he said you won't get a free rental I said we got to tell me over there that if I'm ready to bring it back to him he would give me one he said you don't get it so sadly to say you the guy why I can get a truck brought back to his inventory and I didn't get a rental and I'm going to find a cheaper rental storage place and get my stuff out of U-Haul

I was told I would be pro-rated for the move from one storage unit to another at the same facility. That never happened, and I was basically ignored. I will probably not ever use U-haul again unless it is the last resort.

Vontavious O'Neal was very helpful from the first time I walked into the Storage facility, a few months later and again he helped me out. Both visits he was multitasking and helping everyone. If in the future I need Uhaul services I would drive out of my way for his help.

I was asked for a 2nd contact phone number, which I don't have because I only use a cell phone, so I gave my mother's. He then asked for an emergency contact number and had to give my stepmom's phone AND address. After he bumbled through the process, he asked me to pick a code and then said "Really?" after I gave him one. He handed me the paperwork after with no instructions. I had to ask him what my storage number was and where to go. He just pointed and I had to figure it out myself. The code I gave him also didn't work and had to go back to the office to get a temporary one since custom ones "don't work right away." I've stored stuff at other U-Haul locations and loved it... Very helpful staff and convenient equipment like rolling carts. But this place... let's just say I will only be there a month until I find better accommodations.

When I got to the drop off center in Clinton, Tn to uinload my trailer, I didn't have a resevation and the person working at the Clinton location informed me that he was not going to give me the sized storage bin that I need for free. The service provider would oly give me the sized storage bin that he thought I needed, which I explained to him was not large enough to accomadate all of my belongings, he told me that he did not care and that it was. To makke a long story short I ended up with a storage bin that is way to small and I've had to find somewhere else to store my things.

Items mysteriously disappeared out of it & the lock would sometimes be turned backwards from the way I placed it. Since the new office & truck facility was built next door, it seemed that there were no cameras on the actual storage units, & a property next to it could have provided access over the fence due to the difference in ground levels. The price kept going up-most recently after UHaul advertised giving free storage to students (obviously at my expense).
