Horrible check in. Waiting for approval for 20 mins. Went to where truck was supposed to be bit it was not there. Drove around and finally found it behind the storage place next door. No dolly was inside. Truck reeked of cigarette smoke. Check engine light came on after loading. Guy I side uhaul was super rude and didn't eant to help. Accused me of not having a reservation and didn't order a dolly. Never bothered to look at my order

Staff was very helpful getting me the small trailer, tow hitch and light adapter I needed to move my furnishings. Everything went very well. Justin even helped me park the trailer back in its location on my return. This is a very busy location (walked in on a Saturday) but I never felt rushed and attention was paid to my needs!

Wish the person renting us the vehicle would have listened to me. I needed the U haul for picking up washer and dryer and also rented an appliances dolly. She tented us a truck without a ramp. Didn't make the job easy.

I would suggest you retire the truck we used. That truck interior was destroyed...the center seat console was broken and didn't come down. The shocks were bad and made it hard to drive from all the bouncing especially when you tried to slow down and stop.

The wipers were not good. Cup holders were gross. The ramp was VERY hard to slide back into place to lock. The guy didn't explain EVERYTHING to me about the tow dolly and almost caused a larger issue. The tow dolly also says to use a nylon piece to lock the chain on the control arm in which I was not supplied.

Being charged $124 for a rental is absurd. Never have I ever been charged so much for a rental truck. I got the 15 truck. Not a semi and a smaller truck. Drove 40 miles and returned the truck the same day. truck was at a half a tank and I returned it at 3/8 which is 5.6 estimated gallons to get back to the half. I paid $70 earlier and then was charged $124 this morning. What a scam!

Trailer was clean but running lights didn’t work. We have rented from this location in the past without issue but this created a stressful situation. We drove with our hazard lights on for over three hours to reach our destination safely. Associate helping us was nice but our equipment lights didn't work properly.

The gentleman that connected the trailer to my truck did not tighten the trailer hitch ball lock at all, and he did not cross the safety chains. I did not notice this until it came off as I pulled away down the street at 45 mpg and the trailer came off the hitch and swung wildly side to side. I pulled off as soon as I could (we had lots of snow recently and I couldn't immediately pull off on the side of the road). Luckily there was no damage to my truck or the trailer. This is my first time ever towing anything, and I'm glad I watched enough YouTube videos ahead of the rental to know how to re-connect it properly. Hopefully this location can provide a trainer refresher so this doesn't happen to another customer where the result could be worse. Even after having this experience, the price can't be beat for renting a motorcycle trailer and I would do it again.

Develop an App that actually works. App would not load the return truck portion, had to use the web browser after 20 minutes of frustration trying to get the App to work. Location was good, 0 out of 10 on the App return experience, would not recommend.

Staff was friendly, but we had all the wrong information to get to our unit and ended up wasting about an hour of our rental time. Was given a key card and told to go to the completely wrong place. Was not explained expenses on our bill and charged way more than expected. Tried to take photos of our vehicle for our initial survey and it would not accept, so we had to just forfeit filling out the preliminary surgery because then it timed out. The lights were totally out in our hallway which I understand totally happens, but was so dark we had a lot of trouble safely putting our furniture away. Very inconvenient as a whole experience and made the day stressful.

Now I'd like to start off by say that I understand my fault in this situation with that said the stuff at stoneybrook was not help at all I was a day late I didn't know ya closed at 5 on Sunday so yes I get have to pay late fee's but to tell me that they're not going to give me a storage unit to store my stuff that was still in your trailer until I pay I mean the whole situation in a bit avoided if they would have just gave me let me rent the storage unit that I was supposed to get for free cuz I rented equipment from you guys anyways and then when I got the call about about the you guys reporting at stealing the guy who talked to me was very rude and hung up on me so then I called back and the woman I talked to was still kind of hostile but she worked with me and the guy at the store he was cool he was nice good customer service on 84th and L but yeah no I'll probably never rent a truck from U-Haul again or anything other than the storage

The unit was full of bugs. I cleaned what I could. The unit is up high, which, is a hard ship for me to get to due to having several back surgeries. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware that it was set up like this. I wouldn't have gotten this unit had I known.

They over charged me for storage the units was small they had available I had to get another storage I paid 70$ for gas when I got the truck it had 1/3 of gas in it when I picked it up no deposit return so no I wasn’t very pleased but I had no other options at that time it was really a very big inconvenience for me whoever made the reservation really missed it. But I’m far away from the location for storage and none was available when I tried to switch locations. Thanks

The young man that waited on me was not very confident showed he was very nervous like he did not know what he was doing and obviously he didn’t he did sell us the insurance and the unit did not offer to show us anything or tell us any instructions or anything about it did not offer a lock or anything so when I got home and I was asked about the lock I have to go back now to purchase the lock seem like a lot of charges were just added for getting a storage unit I think that he should’ve been more well trained before leaving him by himself when he was not really sure what he was doing

This company site charged premium prices. For an unsecured storage room. Nice new fancy gate that only secured one side of the parking lot. I was provided a fob for this gate but turned it in three times because it didnt work. Found out final week of my lease no one had bothered to enter all of the correct numbers. No cameras, securing the property of the people utilizing your service. Anyone can walk in at all hours of night. I will not use this site again!

I have been dealing with this particular u- haul for years and have never had an issue. But, this time they let me know I left my moving blankets inside and that they would set them aside, however they could not be found when I got there this time. I am out those blankets and funds.

I have already called and spoken to the GM. Your staff needs a refresher on corporate policies and customer service. He (GM) was kind enough to let me know he is refunding me the 15.00 late fee that was incurred in November on my account because the notice of late payment was mailed to my old address. He also listened to my concerns and reassured me he would work to communicate his expectations to his employees. I rented a pick up truck from Enterprise to collect my items. I do not plan on using Uhaul in any capacity moving forward. Which is unfortunate considering Uhaul was my preferred brand and I recommended them to everyone I knew. That all ended thanks to the poor customer service at this location. I sold my house in April and had to move 4 separate times for work. Moving forward I'll keep using 2 men in a truck / black belt movers / penske /enterprise. I'll also be renting from Dino's or Armor Storage as I have done in the past. We received a free one month rental because we recently rented a car trailer. Saturday afternoon when I stopped at the L street location, there were 2 females behind the counter talking with each other. When they finally finished their non work related concersation, the smaller one asked how she could help me. I told her I had a free rental and would like a 10 x 15 rental inside if there was one available. She got up, walked to the wall behind her, pulled a sheet of paper out of a container on the wall and proceeded to study it. After about 5 minutes she said sorry we don't have any 10 x 15 units inside. We only have outside units. I told her I didn't want an outside unit and asked what was available inside. She studied the paper again for a long while then said there was one 10 x 15 unit on the second floor and an 8 x 10. I explained we had heavy furniture so the unit on the second floor wouldn't work and that we had too much for an 8 x 10. I then asked her if we took the 10 x 15outside unit could we check back and switch to an inside unit if one came available inn the next week. She said no, not when it is the free rental. I told her I would wait and talk to my boyfriend who was meeting me at the locatioon. When he arrived about 5 minutes later" we wnt inside. The two girls were on their way out the door and said we have to check a truck so you can wait if you want bub it will ve awhile. We needed a unit so we gad no chiice but to wait. Thankfully, a third male employee came into the office at that time. He immediately greeted us, asked how he could help and within 2 minutes had a 10 x 15 indoor unit pulled up on the computer to rent to us. Not sure if th e first female employee was just too lazy to help us or just not trained??? Any 45 minutes after arriving, we finally had a first floor unit. A manager might want to also speak to the 2 female employees and remind them to limit their personal conversations while customers are waiting and to avoid making comments like Ugh not another truck to check in. Oh God, now there are two . Crap.

I must say, the store @ 86th & L is the cleanest Uhaul I have ever been in. The lobby spotless, restrooms the cleanest, staff was in Uhaul clothing , nothing was needed,AWESOME .customer experience.. The storage room was very dirty. I brought a broom and filled a dust pan with previous tenants debris. Everything else could not have been better. Easy access, I like the free use of the carts, the security is reassuring and I like the loading dock.
