Your employees who handle the reservation over the phone were awful they sent me to the wrong location who did not have a trailer and this was on Main St in Buffalo NY and they had to send me over to Depew it actually ruined my whole day
UHaul charged my credit card twice, I called three times to get this resolved. Today (2 days after the move) I was informed that UHaul management would look into this matter in the next three days. Having multiple, fraudulent charges on my credit card is a major inconvenience and insult.

Ridiculous per mile charge of .99 per mile because "it's the weekend". Lot was full of unused trucks and I had my pick of vehicles but because it's Saturday the rates get jacked up?? Will try not to use uhaul the next time

There was a bit of trouble with the computers when I arrived, causing a small delay. However, the employees were helpful and friendly and worked hard to make it a good experience.
The lights were not connected on the trailer. Make sure all connections are complete

Facility wasn`t properly staffed I waited for about 25 minutes and there wasn`t a bell or other way to get staff attention.
More representatives to speed up check in time. There was one representative on the phone with a customer while a line of 5-6 people formed and he couldn't do anything about it. 2nd representative came 5 minutes later and helped one person, got their truck then didn't come back.
Worst experience ever. I rented originally from Hamburg New York and was moved to two different locations. Ultimately the location I rented from was 35 miles from my home. I will never rent from U-Haul again. Worst experience ever. Also it was very expensive given the added mileage since it was so far from the original U-Haul rental place.
I had taken advice an reserved on line, that was helpful. I was pleased with how quickly I was in my rental truck, the explanation of policy. Overall a good experience

The U-Haul store in which I picked up my equipment was great unfortunately your website information was horrible not sure why you suggest locations for pickup if they don't even own any equipment also your online says one way you don't pay for miles but it's literally double the fee for a rental so it seems like false advertisement also your internet website for changing your order or just saying it was just as useless as call center that I tried to get ahold of and change my order not sure if I will use U-Haul ever again definitely was not happy but don't want this to go against the location and which I picked up my equipment because they were great
Forklift is too small. A larger capacity lift with 8 ft long forks is required to properly handle 2000 lb boxes with a 48 in load center.

I only say yes because of it's location and the variety and quantity of the options they carry. Otherwise I do have some reservations. Our bill was calculated incorrectly, the following day it was difficult to contact the location directly, I kept getting sent to customer service. We had lost something and I had to go back to the location and ended up searching myself because no one was manning the counter area. While I was there another gentleman got annoyed at the lack of service/personnel and left!

Everything was as expected, no problems at all.
Earlier pick-up times; earliest available time was 1:30 pm, which wasted half of the day. I would have rated your service "excellent" if I could have picked up in the morning.
The service representative was polite and fun to work with. The process is quick and easy. I was in and out with the rental in less than 10 minutes. "After hour" drop-off makes this as simple as it gets.
I have two complaints. The first is with the reservation process on uhaul.com. The second is with the reservation process onsite.
I specified in my online reservation that I'd prefer to be contacted by email. When I showed up to rent my equipment, I was told the reservation had been cancelled because I hadn't been responsive by phone. This caused me a huge delay and many additional travel miles which could have all been rectified by an email.
Once the paperwork was completed onsite at my new reservation location, it took nearly an hour outside in the hot sun because the equipment trailer lights weren't working properly. I needn't explain that I was already very hot, physically drained, and hungry, but on a tight schedule. This delay didn't help things at all. :(
Amazing staff and equipment. Will continue to go here for all of my needs. Pricing for one way, one day use on a studio truck was about $50 too much.
It was a great experience. Everyone at Uhaul at both ends of trip were great. The trailer was superior. It tracked extraordinarily well. It really made a difference when required for defensive driving. The brakes were necessary and stopped on a dime.
Staff was very efficient, knowledgeable and cooperative. Only complaint was that we had to wait a while when we returned vehicle because there was only one person working desk.
The "in store" service far out-weighted the "call center" service. From now on, if I'm not speaking directly with the store, I will just stop in.
Job was done well and service was prompt. Nicely done.
Storage area smelled like moth balls

the dolly was unhooked when I got the truck; maybe check over the truck a little better. I'm hoping I don't get charged for using the dolly now.

PLEASE NOTE : The hook plates closer to the floor of the van had sharp un-grounded edges. I ended up scraping some flesh off my little finger while cleaning the van. The front desk associate did give me a bandaid but, I am pretty sure that's not the right solution here.

It was a great experience. The guy who helped me to get the trailer, i forgot his name has been there about 2 years, blonde hair, went above and beyond to help me. I didn't have power to my wiring, so he was helping me try to figure it. Helped me but a new wire kit, still didn't work. I ran home and got it fixed and came back and he took care of me right away. Great employee. I wish I could remember his name.
rented a 6x12 dual axel trailer to pick some equipment i bought,rear entry of this trailer is way short of 6 foot could not load wasted 6 hours and 38 dollars

While this location was fine the original location in Orchard Park did not have the equipment i reserved available. I was notified 5 minutes before arriving there...transferred the reservation and posted a $50.00 credit to rental which was fine, did not make up for the lost time as a result of driving an extra 90 minutes (total) as a result of no equipment, very disappointing. Review equipment with customer. Upon arrival at home (15 minutes after pickup) The Ramp was not functioning (would not extend) I called the 800 service number.
Once I was able to extract, it was difficult to reset it due to a broken weld on the slide bar. I explained on the call that the only reason I went with the 15 Ft Truck was for the ramp. Equipment should be inspected prior to delivering to customer.
I lost my key and had to get a new key cut for $50. However, as the driver was driving away, I found the key. I know, my fault. Anyway, I was wondering if it would be possible to at least receive a partial credit?
Truck I rented was in very poor and dangerous condition. Breaks were hardly responsive, causing extremely long and dangerous stopping. It's unbelievable to me that in 21st century your trucks have no air conditioning. I drove 500 miles in 12 hours on a 87 degree day and came out of the truck soaking in my own sweat. Radio speakers were shorting out the entire time causing loud pop with every drum beat hurting my ears. Their sound was compatible to quality of walkie-talkie speakers which along with blowing fan at full speed to keep me from frying alive inside was tortures for 12 hours of drive. I'll definitely look for different rentals next time I need a trucks again!
The people who hook up the hardware/dollies need to learn how to hook up the equipment. My fiancée and I drove to Indianapolis and arrived at 12:30 am. Because of the incompetency of the staff in Depew, NY, we were not able to get to sleep until almost 4. We had to call roadside assistance because the dolly was messed up and would not turn. Moreover, the agent in Depew wrapped the chains for the dolly around the exhaust pipe of the car. Thankfully, we have photos of this so if there is any damage to the car, we will be holding UHaul responsible. The gentleman with roadside assistance was very helpful and he was able to help us with the car issue, but again, it took over 3 hours. It was not his fault it took this long, rather, it was because of the way the UHaul was set up in Depew, NY.

Transmission kept sticking in first gear
The Mirrors on the truck were to tight and I could not adjust them. The truck did an excellent job. You provide an excellent service to the community.
I thought the price was a little high by compared to the last time I rented a moving truck.
Everything is perfect here! Elaine and Colleen are what make this location amazing. They always go above and beyond to accommodate my hectic schedule. I think of them as part of my team!

The location of the unit was awful parking was impossible.
I had a ground wire that was rusted and not allowing the trailer lights to work. The young lady there helped us try to fix the problem, lent us whatever tools we asked for, and when it couldn't be fixed after and hour and a half, recommended a place down the street that might help. Once it was fixed she had us hooked up and out in 5 minutes. Superb experience during a very difficult situation.
Told the guy how unhappy I was and he literally did not respond. He just charged me $29 for gas. Just awful service. U-haul simply does't care about its customers.
Too much going on for minimal staffing. Both times pickup and drop off chaotic.
It would of been a good reminder to let me know that I needed a lock for the box.

The new employee who checked us out when we picked up our rental was friendly, professional and efficient. And, when we returned our rental, despite it being very hot outside and extremely busy; Cody got everyone checked in quickly, and was friendly and professional as always. This is definitely the best UHaul location in the WNY area.
The whole team was wonderful to work with. They were helpful, patient, and gave great suggestions. They helped take the stress and aggravation out if moving! The vehicle was clean, drive well and I felt safe in it. What a great rental experience. I highly recommend U-Haul and working with this WNY team!

The drop off process after hours was very long. Otherwise it was good and easy to find.
You over charged me then said to "give it a few days" to fix when I called customer service. I was charged twice the amount. I am very disappointed and will never use haul again. This company is horrible.

Would have much preferred a smaller truck with a ramp, but this worked. Moreover, I really would have appreciated CRUISE CONTROL such that I wasn't always having to monitor my speed.

When I got the trailer to my house to load it I opened its overhead door. The door jammed and I could not close it. I called the pick up location and "Felix" was very rude to me. He told me that there were instructions on the door that said if the latch was not set a certain way it would jam. I told him that it would have been nice if he explained that or showed us that when we picked the trailer up. I asked him how to un-jam it and he told me to call roadside assistance then hung up on me.
My son and I figured out ourselves how to un-jam it with a crow bar. We got the door down. THERE WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS regarding the latch on the door.
Felix needs some customer service training or re-assignment to a non customer facing position.
Associate was helpful and friendly. However, Store Manager was very rude and condescending.

I would give the brakes on the truck that I had a check...they were squeaking the entire time.
I think your mileage cost is way too high I think it should range around 15 to 20 cents per mile instead it would be more affordable for the customers and therfore bring in more customers in my opionion.
When we picked up the truck it was dirty and smelled like manure. However, when we returned, Colleen was very apologetic and made sure we were happy before we left. Colleen made us feel appreciated and we are sincerely impressed by her level of customer service. Elaine, Colleen and Cody are the reason we always return to this location and also the reason we give our business to UHaul instead of competitors. Thanks guys for taking such good care of us :-)

newer equipment was broken so I rented an older auto trailer and it was rusted where the vehicle sits. I was worried about the deck giving way.
I called to secure a motorcycle trailer, I was told none were available and referred to a different location several miles away. The next day I called again and secured a 5x8 trailer at my desired location. Upon pickup there were several motorcycle trailers available at my desired location but never informed, THE RESERVSTION PROCESS IS TERRIBLE- INACCURATE, TIME CONSUMING & OVERALL FLAWED.
As I was picking up my uhaul I witnessed a customer complaint and the staff handled it very professionally and respectfully trying to resolve the problem.

Making my reservation and picking up the equipment was smooth and uneventful. When I returned the equipment that was another story. I had reserved the motorcycle trailer from 5/26/16 to 6/5/16. I had a change in plans and returned the trailer on 6/3/16 at 6:30pm. When I drove up a young man came out to inspect the trailer and complete my contract. He first told me the charge would be $162.58 which was the full amount if I had returned the trailer on 6/5/16, but I pointed out to him that I was returning the trailer 2 days early. He then agreed and told me the price was $113.00 but his hand held device was not working correctly and I needed to go inside. Once inside again I was told the total was $162.58 and again I pointed out I was returning the trailer 2 days early. This time I was told the adjusted amount was $146.32. I told the second person I was dealing with I was told the price was $113.00 but he refused to honor that. I then asked to change my payment to a different credit card and was told "it had been put on a debit card and couldn't be done". I am not sure how I can put a debit on a credit card that has no PIN number.
Your Transit Rd location obviously has two employees that are in need of training on customer interactions/service, billing, and the difference between a credit card and debit card.
We were mistakenly charged for 2 days instead of 1. When I contacted Uhaul they looked into the matter and promptly refunded the extra day.
The only thing that I had to say was a negative was we were told there was a dolly and pads in the van. We did not check before we left and when we opened it up to move they were not in there.

I spoke to Uhaul reps 3 times before picking up the truck. Each call was more frustrating than the previous. I obviosly was not speaking to someone at the actual store, they said they knew hitches and didnt, and I was given bad information. When I arrived to get the truck I couldnt put my hitch on it so another truck was arranged. That is odd since I was told I was getting the last one when I made the reservation. I was charged 29.95 but was only allowed a 12 usage.
Clearer directions on return date and time of equipment
Advocate customers to use the early check-in. It's awesome. We were not moving, just picking up some items and bringing them back to our house. If you make a note on what to fill out for moving to or some examples, that would be helpful. Add an estimated mileage field to the early check-in website. Lastly, a note about a possible backup camera would be good - our location was super busy and there wasn't anything in the truck users manual. Didn't get real familiar with the controls and didn't find the backup camera till the end.
The same day I rented we returned to move items into our unit and the code card, both did not work. I ended up leaving without a working card or PIN number.
Will be using this storage area again next year.
Terrible service, ubox was late. I called and received little to no information. The fact that it took over a week to make the trip with no explanation is unacceptable. Will not use service again.

Uhaul lost my Uboxes. Trey in Colorado found them after a few days but was powerless at first because of your lack of logistics tracking and your contract labor.

The staff didn`t know how to have me pay for my Ubox. No managers were reachable. This was terrible service. The staff seemed to be legitimately clueless about how to help.

I had trouble with my card several times it was always handled well. It does seem as though they could use more staff. It is always busy.
Our uboxes were suppose to b delivered on a monday-canceled. They told us Tuesday-canceled. Wednesday they were delivered but left us 2 days to move. The delivery guy was very nice n helpful.

Booked a moving truckstorage unit online ,was under the impression that it was only going to be $1 to move into the unit so when i had to drop $100 dollars i was not happy.

The U-Box was reasonable in price and the U-haul staff was helpful in answering my questions. Only thing, I was not notified ahead of time that I needed a lock for the U-Box upon departure
Reason for not recommending was experience at other end of move. People in Depew were professional, and very accommodating to needs. Would not hesitate to use their services again.

Excellent so far-boxes scheduled for final delivery tomorrow-3 days ahead of schedule! Staff: awesome. Boxes: great. Need more tie down hooks on the top/bottom/back. 4 hooks on sides: not very useful.

There were some mistakes about my bills, probably because I was moving internationally and the service was not geared for this. Otherwise, no problems at all and I would certainly recommend it.

People at the facility were nice, reservation got screwed up from the beginning and the room I was supposed to have wasn`t available. For a bit more $ I got what I needed at a competitor.
The associate delivering the uboxes was great!She called before delivery, on time, friendly, got the boxes unloaded quickly.
The only issue I have with Uhaul storage is that it is not prorated if you move out early. I will use other facilities for this reason.
The Buffalo location was timely in their delivery and communicative about when they would be able to pick it up. Although the delivery for shipping was delayed an extra day due to them being booked.
I see that I was charged for my first month when it was supposed to be free???
I am disappointed with the customer service, I was never told that I may not know when someone can come back to pick up and ship the box or I would have scheduled it differently.

We stored our RV there securely and at a very decent rate.
There is a damaged fence next to the gate entry for the storage units. Anyone could walk in and out, which is enough for a determined thief. Otherwise, an overall good experience!
I drove all the way there to get my ubox and I had to wait an hour for.someone.to bring it off the forklift. Horrible. Never using uhaul again.
I would not recommend U-Box due to difficulty with the store on the other end. This store was great - timely, very helpful, friendly. Judy was very nice, and even delivered my box on Saturday!

u-haul on main street was very rude and hung up stating my dolly was not there but the transit u-haul was proffessional correcting mistakes made. not recommend or use u-haul on main street.

I reserved on Tues on Thurs I asked for hall key for the first time I’m told $10/mo for 24 hr access. I cancelled, went to Uncle Bobs down the street and paid MORE but helpful staff 24 hr access.
Not friendly-didn’t feel welcomed. Still not sure how to open the hallway door when I go there after hours. Was told no bays available but when I told him I booked online he said he had two left.
one box had a door that was not lined up properly. Had to move lock latch to lock box. Otherwise everything was excellent!
The Owner/Operator of the Pick Up location was very courteous and friendly. He assisted me very well with the pick up and pay process.
2d box had a broken latch. The women delivering the boxes in were fantastic. The move was nearly perfect. Use of your blankets was a great help. Definitely recommend this mode of movement. Thank you
Was told it would be delivered to my house, then told it couldn`t be and was told I could rent a trailer and then told I could not due to highway driving. Had to rent a 10ft truck. HUGE inconvenience.

one negative thing we experienced was the gate leading to the storage area was frequently broken. we had to go into the store, show our license and pick up a remote. Everything else was great!
Very good service - Judy was excellent and set the box up on a semi-hilly driveway perfectly!!!
Only Problem I had was the latch for using a padlock broke off the box. It would have been a simple fix but I didn`t need it at the time anyway.

The only problem was that the locking mechanism fell off of the box and I could not lock it.
Easy service. Lots of confusion with staff around UBox, but much better during second visit. Should rethink staffing for high traffic times. Waited in line for over 15 minutes both times.

Box was lost. receiving store not deliver for a week even thought the box was 3 weeks after I requested delivery. Would not recommend. Depew staff helpful and friendly.

The door to the D units was very difficult to open and close as it contactd the jamb. If it were not for that, the excelent box would be checked.
The facility seemed relatively safe. However, there was a hole in the ceiling of the storage compartment assigned to me.
Storage Facility was very dirty, had to ask employee for broom to sweep out dirt and other debris, and I swept out the facility not the employee. Terrible experience!

It was incredibly difficult to get ahold of anyone and I wasn`t told that my uBox wouldn`t be shipped until after the holiday weekend despite being picked up on a Saturday, but
I will never do business with U-haul again. Still waiting for promised refund.
Aside from a sticky/needing adjustment door to the storage unit common area D, everthing was great. Clean unit, great staff, and fair prices.

Excellent unit - clean, secure, temp humidity controlled! Only prob was being double billed 1 month and taking many months to get that straightened out. Store staff were extremely helpful.
Within 20 min. I had placed a lock on my storage compartment, quick and efficient. When one staff member did not know the answer to a question another one did, good teamwork.
Facilities were good and convenient.
I purchased a lock upon check in and when the lock proved to be faulty, it was exchanged without a problem.
Hours not convenient for unloading. End of day staff not willing to rent another unit. Early in day staff helpful and units well kept. Units not as big as advertised for house square footage.
