Friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful. Came up with a couple ideas I hadn't considered more safe and much easier to lo load what I wanted to transport. Highly recommended.

sandy O.Waited in a completely empty lobby not a worker nor customer in sight for 10 minutes. Then was told the truck I reserved was no longer available so I had no choice but to rent a cargo van or the 26 footer. The van was way to small to move my whole house. So I ended up having to get the 26 footer which was huge and costed me almost $90. When the truck I reserved was only $40. The truck key ring I was given didn't have the lock key on it. I had to use my son's bike lock to lock up the truck that night. When I went to return the truck the open sign was on but the doors locked and no one there. I was never told nor shown where the key drop off box was. I looked but couldn't find it. I figured that uhaul would have a spare key or master key to this truck so not knowing what to do I looked the key inside of the truck. I received a phone call asking where the keys were and received an attitude when I told her I locked them into the truck. A few hours later I received a notification that I was charged another $20. I don't even know why I was charged for. Terrible experience and an expensive lesson learned.

Dennis V.Told at the last minute I had to pick up my truck 30 miles from where I originally received online and had to pay the mileage. Dirty truck. Empty tank when we drove off lot. No washer fluid. Found out one of our tires had been half flat when we drove off the lot. Had to deal with roadside assistance in the middle of our move, which took hours. Worst truck rental experience, by far. Truly awful from start to finish.

Shewanda S.I was not given a paper receipt due to a printer error at the office. I was told that the fuel tank was at half a tank and to return it. However when i got into the vehicle the fuel was less than half a tank. I returned the vehicle with the proper amount of fuel and was charged for 5 gallons of fuel at $21 I feel that was an inaccurate charge.

LaShelle Y.I was scheduled to pick up my truck at 8pm on a Tuesday... when I arrived the app tells me there wasn't any equipment ready for me. I called customer service... the first Rep was rude and kept talking over me, then blind transferred me to a nice lady. This lady confirmed there wasn't a truck ready. How frustrating when I'm literally parked in the UHaul parking lot surrounded by UHaul trucks just like the one I rented. The Rep told me the closest one that I could pick up that night was 30 minutes away- one way. Over an hour wasted bc the original store didn't fulfill my reservation. Once I got to the new destination, I fumbled with the App and ended up not being able to get that truck either. I called customer, in tears, the Rep told me to "breathe" countless times... not what I needed to hear... I just needed her to move my reservation to the next morning, although that was putting me about 12 hours behind. When I arrived at the exact same store that botched my original reservation, I stood in line for 45 minutes while the female employee registered 1 couple ahead of me in between her complaints of "I'm the only one that does reservations" and cutting up with her co-worker at the computer next to her. Meanwhile, i get on the app in attempt to speed things along, and i see that the mileage charge is no longer $0.79/mile, its $1.29/mile. When it was my turn, I attempted to tell the employee what had happened, she shrugged and said "I wasn't here, it wasn't my fault, I can't change the mileage, it's the weekend rate." When I tried explaining to her that it wasn't my fault, it was theirs, that I wasn't able to pick up my truck when I'd reserved it and mileage wouldn't be a issue had I been able to, she called her manager, gave them the very brief run-down, but of course left out the part where the store was at fault, and said manager refused to change the mileage cost. I was in tears and very upset...I couldn't believe what a nightmare the entire process was and that they refused to right their wrong, but also knowing I was between a rock and a hard place. I told the employee as much and she said "I'm not taking this crap today, I'll cancel your reservation and you can leave the store." At this point, it's after 8am, I should be packed up and driving the UHaul truck to my new house by now and I still don't have the keys to a truck. She finally tells the co-worker to find the truck, he pulls it around for me...it's filthy...cigarette butts in the back, sodas and cans in the front floor and it's got 1/4 of a tank of gas, the dash says "drivers side door open" and "low air in right rear tire"... but I'm so far behind schedule now and the employee inside was the opposite of helpful and I knew she wouldn't help with finding another truck, so I took off. I called customer service immediately and spoke to a very nice lady, Catherine, who was very apologetic and helpful. She called her manager and got the okay to charge me the $0.79/mile... which is the absolute LEAST they could've done. I am appalled with this company and will strap things on my back and walk or hire a donkey before I EVER use their services again. It seemed like everything that COULD go wrong, did and most of the employees couldn't care less if they were ruining someone's day. Moving is stressful...and this experience made it that much worse. That store is an absolute joke and the employees I dealt with there were worthless. Not only did they put me an entire day behind, I almost lost my new place bc I wasn't there on time... thankfully the property manager went out of his way, took time away from his family night to meet me and give me the keys. But it doesnt end there...I'd already paid 2 people to help me pack tuesday night... they took off work to help me, so I can't not pay them for their time. But they weren't available the next morning... soooo I had to pay another moving company to help. I'm out I've $300 extra bc UHaul couldn't fulfill my original reservation... and all they could do was give me $50???? I did my part, someone at this location clearly didn't do theirs but "oh well" is the reaction I get. Everyone from the person who didn't get my truck ready to the first customer service rep to the "breathe" rep to the "only employee who does reservations" and who has the worst attitude and should NEVER be the point person for ANY company to whoever marked that truck as "ready"... they should all be ashamed. In embarrassed for them. The way I was treated was disgusting and none of it was my fault. I hope UHaul makes this right, but I have very little faith in this company. No clue how they've managed to stay in business if this is how they do things. Just wow.
Amanda W.Not sure of the names of the 2 gentlemen that helped us but as I was walking in to find out where we needed to park our trailer we was returning there was a guy walking out and he was so welcoming and said he was getting uhaul for another customer but that he would come unhook us as soon as he was done but another guy beat him to it. We was in and out in no time!
Laci H.I think it is really chicken shit to charge me for another day when I was one hour late. I could at least been offered to keep it for the remainder of the extra day I was charge for. Or even prorated for my one hour. Piss poor policy and I will make sure to go elsewhere for my next rental.

Robert F.Very unorganized pickup. Then, after being given the trailer- pictures were sent to me to approve the trailer while I was walking out the door. I blindly okayed them. My fail. Then the connection cord for allowing the lights to work on the trailer was “possibly not available†so he had to go check. Why isn't that an automatic item for the rental?? They had one so… I didn't have to go buy one. Then, upon opening the trailer when we were getting ready to load, there were old green beans and so much dirt all throughout the trailer. The last renter obviously moved produce and it wasn't cleaned before we got it. I didn't expect a floor you could eat off of but I didn't expect massive dirt and green beans! Will never use this location again. Drop off was quick - but they didn't inspect the trailer for damage (there was none) so they are definitely missing steps in their service - because I got the “all done - thanks - review us†receipt in my email before I even got in my car.

Edward H.Truck worked great as intended. The window was rolled part way down - maybe to release some of the smoke smell. Drivers side door stay was broken - truck computer was hanging down from the dashboard - by the brake pedal. Truck was winter dirty - and dirt/mulch was still in the bed.

I called once and talked to the manager and explained to him that my rent would be late, I asked him not to run my card payment because the funds wouldn't be there. 5 days later my card was still charged causing me overdraft fees. I called back and he reversed the transaction which took 4 days and then I was charge more late fees. They are incompetent and don't communicate well with eachother. I was paying for a gated facility but sometimes the gate was wide open and within the last 6 months the gate had been removed. I wouldn't suggest anyone use this facility.

Allia R. | Overall ExperienceA number of things. First, we did not have a code to get into the secured area where the storage was located. So we had to wait until the one guy working there came over to punch the code in to get us in. Then we drive in and head to the back where the storage was located to find a lock on his door. So I drove back out of the secured area to find out you needed a code to get out! We had no code. We could not communicate with anyone because there was no one around. The call button on the code pad did not work so we stood there waiting for about 30 minutes until some guy loading his own stuff outside the gated area went and got someone for us. So then we got out and had to wait for another guy to figure out how to get the lock off. That took another 20 minutes until he finally found a key. Then he gave us a code to use to get in and out so the rest was ok.

There was a lot of back and forth before we were given a different unit. Through all the confusion, the man who finally fixed the issue was very helpful and courteous.

We were able to get in if there were staff there to move trucks out of our way, but the route to the storage area entrance was blocked off by trucks for 3 or 4 days in a row, severely limiting our ability to move our items out of storage after work.
