Love the dude that works outside and is there every day. He is an ace and so is the general manager. This is the best U-Haul ever. And I'm grateful to the gentleman outside. He is always spot on!

When I finally pulled up to reservation in my email, she finally decided to give me a vehicle. After finally getting the vehicle taken care of, I then asked her what about the storage space; she then stated that I definitely didn’t have a storage space. I then asked the manager to please take a look at my online reservation, and he then told her that “yes I not only have a reservation, but I already paid, and the unit # is Olson in the email”. I have no idea why I was receiving such poor customer service, and what appeared to be a persistent problem of not wanting to provide service. I just wrote it off as, maybe she is new; but when I returned to purchase the required round lock needed to secure the storage space, I then realized a complete difference in service between customers who appeared to share the same Race and Ethnicity as her. Needless to say, but I am of a different race. I have been using U-haul for over 23 years, and I’ve only received 100% exceptional service, with this being the first negative experience. I won’t put her name, but I did pick up the truck on Saturday, 24 February 2024, between 4-5 PM. Everyone else at the location, were super.

Mae M.I talked to multiple customer service agents about my payment method being changed and the charges kept occurring on the original card. I also changed it on the app. With a tight moving budget this made my experience extremely stressful. The customer service rep that reached out to me after I made a formal complaint was not helpful. She only offered to refund and recharge my new card after it was too late. Our UBoxes were also two days late and I was not notified of the reason for this. Overall communication was poor and I expected so much more from such a reputable company. I would appreciate a refund of some sort for the difficulty this caused and the time I spent trying to fix it.

Steven H.I was not told about future charges when I first signed up for u-boxes. After multiple times of asking specifics of any fees for drop off on my end date and anything else I should know. I was not only surprised by two separate charges, one for a second month of storage which I only used for one month. But additionally charged for the dropping off of the storage units on my final day of use. There should be better communication and documentation of these future charges. I specifically asked if this included my 5 weeks and the end drop off. Then! When I booked my delivery of the boxes for my final day was told I would be charged $120 (another hidden fee) and was not charged that but instead $210! After having to call did finally get refunded the $90. On top of this I was told I could schedule my delivery the day before but when I got that call, was told 8-11am only no changes. I was hoping for just after 12pm so I could work that morning, but no wiggle room or changes were able to be made. So I miss work and then at 10:45am called since no one had delivered yet… they showed up at 12:15. So not only charged unexpectedly several times but lost money from work for no reason. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I'd rather pay more money to a company in the future who is completely communicative about their contracts. Never again.

When a customer extends their rental via a phone call and pays the difference; ask the local staff NOT to call the customer and tell them "they can't do that"! It is NOT the customers fault that your system doesn't communicate with the local store!! Our nonprofit rents trucks from you 10-15 times per year, and as a loyal customer, we should be treated better than that.

Called haul spoke with Oscar and told what had happened. He spoke to me like I was stupid and some 2nd class citizen. I canbtell he put the phone down on the counter when I was talking to him then he picks up and say I'm not going to argue with you. I don't like Oscar he has no business working there. Oscar SUCKS!!!!! ALL THE OTHERstaff very nice and professional. 2nd thing it would be nice in the future if the trucks had back up cameras like the ones they have on the U.P.S. trucks. Other then that it was great.. please send OSCAR TO THE UHAUAL IN THE NORTH POLE where he will later learn to appreciate people. He needs to understand that myself and other's. Us customers pay his salary without people you will not have business in that location. People like Oscar need to be reminded of that. I think Oscar is just there for a pay check he never said we will be with you in a moment or anything. The day I dropped off the truck on Saturday before 11 am the two staff upfront were very nice. I bet they don't like Oscar either. Anyways enough about that loser Oscar. I will not give a bad review about uhaul...uhaul is great it's just every now and then you get a bad employee. Thank You

When I arrived to pick up I was told the additional insurance was required and I would not be allowed to rent the vehicle. I explained it was 100% clear online, I could pay for insurance and if declined I would be immediately responsible in the event any damage occurred. The associate, Oscar, refused to rent the vehicle without charging for the vehicle. It's clear either this associate or the location is conducting unethical business practices. I called customer service as well as the reservations team and both confirmed the insurance is without question optional. I'll be contacting the General manager David Wiley tomorrow and then I'll be filing a formal complaint. How sad is it this location is selling their integrity to push an $11 insurance add on. Pathetic

We had appliances and heavy furniture stored that could not be brought down the stairs. When we called you, you promised not to charge us for the time the elevators were down. We had automatic payments set up and you charged us every month. Your staff at the desk were downright rude in refusing to give us any information as to when we could expect repairs to be made. Also when we did get to move out, we were charged a full month rental because we moved out one day after payment was drawn from out automatic payment plan. We ended up having to buy a new washer and dryer since we couldn't get ours out and the laundromat was costing us a fortune!

I have one complaint the elevators were not working. I couldn't rent until November because the elevators were down. When I brought boxes to put in the storage in early part of January the elevator was down. I just decided to go somewhere else because if I can't access my storage because the elevator is always down. I had to walk up the stairs with my cane to retrieve my lock.

He was a professional manager who was also knowledgeable, helpful, and always willing to assist inside the office, inside the units, as well as driving rental vehicles up to customers. Chastity was also an incredible employee who was equally knowledgeable and went out of her way to make sure she provided answers to your questions, assisted when locks were difficult to open, and overall made doing business at this location a pleasant experience. The only issue is that the elevator seemed to be inoperable most times, which is an inconvenience. Efforts should be made to either replace the elevator or add another one because using stairs to move furniture is a hassle.

judee b. | Overall ExperienceThe facility is clean, but poorly maintained. Despite checking in with my pass card, the alarm went off every time I opened my space. This had been going on for over a week. Yesterday, I became trapped in the elevator for 5-10 minutes. The doors would not open. The emergency call box was not functional. No one responded to my ringing of the bell. The doors finally opened enough for me to get out. When I reported the incident to the office, the staff was unconcerned and unresponsive. Particularly the blond Caucasian woman. She doesn't seem to care about anything. She is the poster child for not being concerned for customer needs. I had to press them into action to at least come out and give the elevator an inspection. The only apology I got was a barely audible "sorry".

(Grrrrrrrr!!!!!), and (2) More waste receptacles would be nice. Major kudos for the courtesy of employees--some of the best I've encountered in any business!

judee b. | First ImpressionsI rented an inside unit with the Uhaul place located at 1101 E Loop 820 Fort Worth, TX 76120. When it was time for me to move out I hired movers. The movers noticed a smell and water damage as they got into the unit. I went to the manager on duty and he came to take pictures and told me it had to come from the wall or the ceiling. You could see on the pictures that the water had been sitting there underneath my things for a while because the floor was a darker color than the rest of the floor. I was told to file a claim which I did. I didn't get insurance through uhaul because I had insurance through Progressive already and they cover things in storage or home. It made no sense to get double insurance and I had no way of knowing I would be going through such a hassle now that my things are damaged. They were going to try and depreciate my things and give me a cash value. Now they have did a 380° turn and are now stating that it was no leak and that a guy stated I had a washing machine in the unit. There is no way 3 sets of mattresses stacked up on top of each other along the wall was damaged by an empty washing machine that was on the floor in the front of the unit right when you open up the door. All of the hoses were inside the washer and the make matters more interesting, how can a washer soak things that are sitting along walls on top of other things?🤔. So basically, they are telling me that they aren't responsible for any of my things getting molded, wet and coming apart, or Mildew because I had a washing machine in the unit. I lost all my furniture and I just moved here from another state and don't have a job yet. Just got a place to stay and have nothing to sleep on or put me and my son clothes in. I had two full bedroom sets one Full size and one Queen size and one single bed which was a Queen, a mirror, my dining table, and all 6 of my mattresses were damaged and they are denying my claim so that leaves me with nothing. And to top it off, they're making it seem like as if I'm lying and it's my fault my stuff got damaged. Becaue she gone say it's been no other claims involving that unit in the past. Like woman it's a first time for everything. How do water go up walls from the floor if my washing machine caused all the damage? Do Not Rent Here!! All my hard work has been wiped out and I have to start over in this pandemic. How will I get anything when I'm just moving here and have yet to get job placement? I have a son to take care of and they should be ashamed of themselves not caring at all. I know I wouldn't get the full value of my things, but nothing at all, come on now that's wrong. I struggled for everything I got. This isn't right and it's not fair. This is no way to do business especially when my unit was an inside unit. My stuff was a total lost of over $7k but I estimated around $5k because the receipts got wet and they couldn't be made out. You would think they wouldn't want bad publicity but I guess they really don't care about nothing but taking money like other company's.

Had the usual problems with the car hitch, so would suggest better maintenance instead of sending out. At Texas location was advised that THEY made a mistake, and gave me a storage that belonged to someone else. Told me they didn't have any more available units and acted as if that was final. I drove from Maryland, with the 26' truck, and car hitch to add and you telling me I have no place to store my belongings. Unacceptable and only after me advising what needed to happen was I accommodated. Sensitivity training needs to be given for one, and critical thinking skills need to be taught for two. I will be relocating again in a year, but probably won't use Uhaul in the future.

Is the best location!!!, the manager Mr. David Willey, he is a great leader for his team, excellent customer service skills and fast and friendly service each and every time I come inside the facility it's such a level of respect and it's very clean and organized, especially with the covid-19 6 feet apart restrictions. So, I definitely recommend anyone who wants great service and a clean unit this is the place to come too. This U-Haul facility automatically is five stars!!!
