Ladies at desk and where super busy yet still made time to help me patiently
Zachary BurkheimerI was told that the auto transport would be available between 12:000pm-2:30pm. We arrived at 1:00pm and it was "out until 1:30". I saw a transport out back (AT3220R) and asked if it was available and was told "it needs service". When I came back at 3:00pm they gave me the same transport (AT3220R) and said "it just needed checked in". So, I drove an extra 65 minutes (30 minutes each way) in total because someone couldn't verify the transport? Extremely irritated and added unexpected driving to my trip as I was picking the transport up on my way thru town, not expecting to have to drive back and forth so I could keep my appointment.

He was so high he couldn’t even open the front door! It took an additional 15 minutes. When i got there he already printed my contract and then couldn’t find the keys to match it he then gave me a new set of keys not updating my contract . The van was returned on Sunday March 10th around 12 pm. However they contacted me over 10 times saying the van was not returned instead of looking at their cameras. The van was returned however since he gave me a different set of keys without changing my contract resulted in them thinking it was not returned. This location is by far the worst

EDWIN CALDERONI was given a truck to drive cross-country that had a check engine light that went on and then was given the advice to "continue driving as long as it would." Service was absolutely atrocious and I will never use UHual again. The only person I can speak highly of at the Charlotte location is Lanautica. She was extremely kind and even drove my car up on to the tow bed because I did not feel comfortable doing so. Very friendly with me and other customers who were waiting.

Velma GrahamHad to keep rental longer then expected and called and paid 107.50 and then the following week card was charged 216.87 and didn’t go through because it was locked sent a message through the app to run the card again. And was sent a receipt for non return. Called customer service and was told that the ticket was closed and to call back and speak to regional manager Ty and before I could call the following day and my card was ran twice for 107.78 and 289.78 and when I returned it the following day a charge for an additional 591.78 was trying to be charged to my card I have never experienced were my card is being charged over in over like that I going report it to the North Carolina state attorney general office and corporate if it doesn’t stop

Sadie SummersThe box truck that I rent was not in the location in the lot that the employee told me, after that they found that truck on the service bay with a broken rolling back door. So they switch to another truck again from the service bay, after that I drove the truck I find out that the AC control has been broken, and the truck is out of alignment, pulling heavily to the right, and the check the engine light comes on on the truck. Must the worst the truck's transmission stard sleeping. Finally, the transmission gives up the truck don't move, leave me strand in the middle of the road, in very heavy and dangerous traffic condition. A friend with his truck help me towing the broken U-Haul truck to the corner gas station. This is a night time my son and wife coming to pick me up, so I can make home, the next day I get to the U-Haul office telling them about the situation. Ask them to give another truck, so I can retrieve my cargo from the broken truck, they say that nothing they can do about, the told me to call the U-Haul road emergency service. And I did, they instruct me to return to the Gas station that has been strained with the broken truck, and wait for the U-Haul towing emergency service, so I did, and after many phone calls again and again, the U-Haul towing emergency service, arrived 3 hours later. After spending 3 long hours waiting they arrived, they inspect the truck with the scanner, the scanner shows, codes, telling transmission problems. Before that I have to unload my cargo to my personal van, then they took the broken truck way. U-Haul need to show more respect, for their costumers, I am an old U-Haul costumer very disappointed.
Pedro LopezI paid for the van, but upon returning it they changed me 59.16, and when I asked what was the charges for they told me it would be put back on my card if I over paid, ok let’s make it make since because I still don’t understand. But when I rent from Freedom Dr location that has never happened, I pay and I turn the UHaul in when I’m finished there’s never no additional charges, I don’t know maybe it’s just the location

craig bouieWhen I scheduled access to my U-boxes to unload, the agent confirmed they would be out and ready Saturday by 1pm. My movers showed up at 130 and there were no boxes. The person working said no one would be there to retrieve the u boxes until 3. I had to pay for an extra hour of my movers time because of this location’s mistake. I want to be contacted by Uhaul. I have spent near $10000 with Uhaul for this move and I want to be compensated for this error on Saturday.

Everything was excellent, the rental of the first truck, the storage and the rental of the second truck for the moving.

Levenson Morgan | Overall ExperienceWhile this location offered great counter service, the Uhaul app was frustrating. Picking up and returning the truck were both a frustrating and tedious process. After taking all the required photos of existing damage to the truck and entering several comments, the app crashed! Then, when it was time to return the truck, the app wouldn't pull up. I had to get on their website to complete the return process. Phone customer support was excellent. About maintenance: The truck's windshield was dirty, which made driving a bit dangerous; other than that, it was clean and well-maintained.

Terrie burrisVehicle was taken care of as best possible by the staff, however the truck had well over 100k miles, the drivers door didn’t close fully so there was wind and noise, the drivers door window handle was missing the knob, drivers armrest was broken. Vehicle was so old it didn’t even have a phone charging port. Trailer straps worked but were extremely frayed.

I told him I was trying to get into my storage unit and but it said I needed to check in. He was acting as if what I needed was so difficult. After finding out what to do by myself I said “that’s all he had to say” he then replied aggressively “I did say that” I told him I couldn’t clearly understand him because he was talking so low and mumbling. He began to shout “HAVE A GOOD DAY” over and over in a taunting manner. Idk if he wasn’t having a good day or simply doesn’t desire to be an employee anymore…but his attitude was very distasteful!!! I would never rent a storage unit again from here just based on his behavior.

It is the perfect place if you're want your belongings to be safe and clean. It's temperature controlled so your furniture won't be damaged. It's worth it!! When I arrived at the location I received a smaller unit for more money per month. It feels as if I was baited and switched. I attempted to call the location to confirm they had that sized unit only to be routed to corporate who had no idea what they had other than what was online. With no way to call and confirm it is unfair to have customers reserve online and come into the store and be given units that are not what they reserved with no notice and for more money! I've only been told there's nothing anyone can do about it!

But overall a good experience.

The other one was better lit, more convenient and not set up to screw us into paying another month. The unit at uhaul was bigger and a little easier to physically access so that was nice. Having to go to the store to cancel is ridiculous especially in the current environment of coronavirus. We will not rent again because of this.
