David HI made it clear more than once that I would be traveling from Kamloops to Clearwater BC in order to drop off my possessions, given that Clearwater no longer has a Uhaul location it was required of me that I drop the rental off in Barrier, why this wasn't detailed in the itinerary despite at least three occasions of describing in detail my exact plan with the rental unit is beyond me, I was dinged with a milage over charge and left with nothing from my deposit.

David WWhen I realized I would be late in returning the trailer I rented I called the location. I was told that it had to be brought back as the trailer is rented again for the morning. I responded, I will have it returned first thing in the morning 7:00am. I managed to get back into town in time to return the trailer by 7:00pm (2 hours late of my rental agreement). I was shocked to learn that I would still be charged for the full second day. I commented to the employee (I believe one of the owners) "I guess it doesn't pay to do something nice" the owner responded by saying "I guess not". I could have not called to advise of the possible next day return, I could have not made every effort to get the trailer back only 2 hours late. I am extremely disappointed that I was charged a full second day. For this alone I would not recommended location based on lack of common respect for your customers.

Edward BYour rental rates changing based on availability is frustrating considering your fleet management controls local and national availability of equipment. A nearly 300% price increase on a piece of equipment is rediculous for the same trip taken 5 months ago. There needs to be a specified set day rate, and other rates that are transparent. You additionally only have 1 uhaul location in the Yukon Territory and no equipment options to meet the needs of residents in communities or the area to recognize this issue for the KMs distance it takes just to pick up the equipment in rental pricing.

Mathew WI have seen the ads about the $19.95 truck rentals and I know that there are taxes and insurance and mileage added on top. Still, was an extremely reasonable day rate for a trip to get building materials. I would rent from this location again. Easy online reservation and easy check-in for documenting the condition of the vehicle prior to driving away.

Lawrence RI didn't receive my deposit back when I brought back the equipment I rented out and it was beofe the 24 hours and was promised I would receive it and didn't happen,. Also I didn't get to use the car trailer and it was at the uhaul still and was looking to get a refund as I was unable to use it because the truck I rented I couldn't haul the trailer because of the access ramp

christine m | First ImpressionsI have been renting vans and trucks for trade shows from the Kamloops office for over 5 years now. Always good service and one time I had a billing issue it was dealt with right away and I left very satisfied. Good staff and would recommend them without question.
Andrew HI found the self pick up and drop off not all that easy to follow, and it was cumbersome. But, I don't know that it could be any different, it takes a while partly because you have to read and agree to a whole lot of their policies,. If your internet data is struggling it adds more time. Make sure you're there for vehicle pick up a half hour early. The staff outside was really good. When I dropped the truck off it was.not indicated exactly where I was to park the truck, a young lady gladly helped me, and then a young fella helped me with what pictures were necessary to take, and he even pulled his phone out and finished the process for me.

Erin BThe door on the trailer we rented was hard to open and close, but it worked , it was not spotless inside, but it wasn’t terrible. We had it booked two weeks in advance to pick up in kamloops and drop off in another location, but the night before, we got a confirmation text to pick the unit up in salmon arm!😳 ummm. No? We’re in the middle of a move, I have a crew coming to pack my stuff, based on a 8:00 am pickup n KAMLOOPS like my reservation said. In the end, they managed to arrange for said trailer pickup in kamloops, I just had to return it to kamloops instead of the alternate drop off location as previously booked. Not the end of the world, just inconvenient.

Jason L | First ImpressionsFuel was low when I picked up the vehicle, and read full. I took pictures of the gauges before I drove away as I always do. I went 14 miles and it took 3 gallons of fuel to fill it. I again took pictures of the gauges upon returning and showed them and they adjusted the price. They never apologized but did say that had I not taken the pictures they would not have made any adjustments. ALWAYS TAKE PICTURES ! Before and after.
Terry MOther than left tire going flat with slow leak, trailer was great
Paul CI was not happy with the tires on the truck. I had to drive in some snow and with these tires it was very dangerous. Not safe at all!! I mentioned this several times when talking to support. When I dropped off the truck the fellow said the tires were legal but not very good. Myself, I don't think they are legal for roads that require winter tires or chains. I was lucky that I did not encounter more snow on my trip.

Steve SI was a unhappy to be charged a fuel charge. I photographed the fuel gauge when I took the vehicle out and then refilled the vehicle to that same level just before I returned it. The staff person at the facility claimed that there was more fuel in the vehicle when I took it than when I returned it. When I took the vehicle out the facility said clearly that the tank was half full and that I needed to return it that way. When I returned the vehicle they then said the vehicle went out with the tank "9/16ths" full and charged me a fuel charge. I do not agree with this kind of extra fee charging.
Warren FOur rental was to include a dolly, which was not provided when we picked up through the app. I didn’t discover until we were at our destination. We managed to have it removed from the charges on return, but this was inconvenient. Things moved more quickly at drop off than my previous rentals at this location. It was nice to see additional staff members respond when there were people lining up.

nishant dOur original booking was done online and when we showed up at the specified pickup location the vehicle was not there. We were sent to the Halston location and had to book for the following day as no cargo vans were available. My wife was upset as she had booked of the day at work to be available that day. The next day when we got the van we had to hire someone to help as my wife could not miss another day working at the hospital. This waz just added cost. Vehicle was dirty outside and looked like it was wet mopped inside so I had to get blankets from you to cover the floor so the furniture wouldn't get wet. People that helped us were nice though.

Brianna W | Overall ExperienceI gave an above average rating due to the people that were working in both offices because they were absolutely exceptional. Professional and courteous interactions. A huge disappointment was that I was assured by phone and IN WRITING, that my storage unit was on the ground floor. When I arrived I was told that all that was available was a unit on the second floor. I had made my plans based on the assurance it was ground floor. I showed up alone knowing a move into a ground floor unit could be handle with relative ease by one person. WHY bother telling customers (and putting it in writing!) that you have reserved a ground floor unit? It would have been more honest to say "we will try to provide you with a ground floor unit". A reservation is suppose to "HOLD" the promised service. I found this frustrating, dishonest and I am sure a large company (North America wide) doesn't really care, they know once you have travelled the distance with your goods, there is not much you can do when you have the trailer full sitting there and you have to store it. The staff/employees at both ends were exceptional but this kind of dishonesty with not following through on the reservation.... I will definitely warn anyone I speak to who needs this service to be aware of false promises.

But I paid nearly $200 a month and I cancelled my unit before December 01, there should be some sort of refund or money back for the time not used. I would have ideally been out sooner (I moved my stuff out on November 04) but because I had to pay the full fee for November I decided to keep stuff in the unit. Like I said, I understand this is probably a head office corporate thing but just wanted to voice my opinion.

The locker door had to be adjusted -----actually shaken and repositioned, so that the 2 "holes" for the lock to fit thru, actually had to be manipulated to line up. I had to be called, at home, to tell me that I was not properly locked out and secure. I think that, at 83 years of age, I could have done with more instruction----coming back was not always an option. Other than that, I felt very safe with my belongings in your facility. Bara

I rented a 10 x 15 storage locker a month earlier before my truck rental to move some stuff by my own trailer. I was then hoping I would get the next month rent for free, once I have rented the one-way truck rental, however this was not the case they told me I had to pay and I didn’t receive my one month free rental for the storage facility. She told me I’d have to move out and then rent a new storage room.

I like: clean, office & access hours are convienent, drive-in option to unload, carts available, washroom onsite, help inter-com to office, area for recyle items. I didn't like: hard to get off green barbed strap on locker (no scissors to get off), lock in package (no scissors to open), staff not sure which doors to access after hours (because procedures keep changing - sign in to 1 or both doors? Or in a certain order? Very confusing), apparently drive-in option is only available while office is open and door doesn't always work?, prices are expensive for storage units. Would be nice if U-Haul offered pay for 5 months, and 1 month free.

Shirley B | First ImpressionsCheck out procedure not clear. I tried to contact by phone but long waits of an hour or more made this impossible. I went to the office to let them know that I was vacating. I was told to empty the unit and then it would be checked for cleanliness. Also told to take my lock with me and then to come back to close the contract. When I arrived back at the office the paperwork was done. I asked for a refund for the rest of the month as I left on the 12th of the month. I was then told that I could not have a refund as the contract was already closed. I then said that I would perhaps use the storage until the end of the month for additional items so I would put the lock on until the end of the month. I was informed that that would not be possible as I’d already closed the contract! So it is then possible for U-haul to obtain rent the storage stall that I had already paid for thus getting double the rent until the end of the month. I am extremely unhappy with this and hope you will see that it is unfair to me. A reimbursement for the balance of the month would be appreciated. Thank you for your consideration. I think the doors should be locked and a code entered for any one who wants to enter.

When I wouldn't back down on the extra charges he said he was going to find someone else to deal with me, so I followed him, just so I could hear what was being said and show the next person up the food chain my paperwork, we went into the office and they finally came up with a charge of $0.43 because I was 1 mile over on the mileage they gave me when I picked up the truck. They took half a hour trying to figure out a way to throw on a extra charge. I guess when they figure out your mileage they don't take into consideration you may have to stop and pick up your furniture or go to a gas station

That Jimmy the electrician and Paula who handle the coustomer in location they help me lot ... right now I just drop my 5/8 teailor from Edmonton to kamloops... and Cris who serve me with respected and professional manner in kamloops.
