BOOKER L | First ImpressionsThe pickup process was fine and the manager that processed the paperwork was great. The drop-off was a completely different matter altogether. During the pickup process they said to pull in to the garage and someone would see you and that you should stay with the equipment. In fact they have signs that indicate the same. 10 minutes later another person also dropping off went to go find a u-haul employee. When someone finally came to process the drop-off, everything about his demeanor was that he couldn't be bothered and that somehow we all had ruined his day. He also seemed extremely put upon and exasperated that I opted to pay the service charge in lieu of filling up the fuel tank - so much so that I thought he was going to call the manager over and force me to go to the gas station. I had probably driven a grand total of 6 miles my whole move. It's a shame that an overall great experience was marred by someone that probably shouldn't be an employee but I guess we live in a day and age where employees feel like they are the ones paying for service and people that actual pay for a service and made to feel like second class citizens.

MATT EI was looking for a larger vehicle to minimize my mileage and moving time, but I was able to accomplish what I set out to do. Upon Turing in the truck, there was a gentleman there guiding me to place the truck. He was pretty cool and polite. I forgot his name. Anyways kudos to this entire experience.

Samuel JVery good experience with this location. I had booked with a smaller location and when that truck wasn't available I asked to go to this main location. So much better! Virgil took good care of me, it was centrally located, the truck was ready. It was even inside a garage so weather less relevant.
Mary JUpon arrival in Houston, the gentleman working that day was extremely rude. I asked him where to place the trailer. He told me to back it in. I did not feel comfortable backing in the spot he told me to park it in. then proceeded to talk about my skills of backing the trailer up. I also had to unhook the trailer myself, and it was extremely heavy.

Aaron SEverything was great and we were very happy to be able to rent the appliance dolly for the work we were doing with the van. Rudy was very efficient and patient with our questions. We need to figure out how to get the light in the back of the truck to come on and stay on but that is not something we asked about when we checked out the van.

BILL GThis location is difficult to get to. When you get there it is large and well staffed but getting there is annoying. The biggest problem is that I selected and was guaranteed another location. I was then forced to pick up and drop off here. Even in terrible weather conditions when it was out of the way. Annoying enough that I will no longer be using Uhaul on future rental needs.

I would say 90% of the time, there were no carts available (I ended up bringing my own every visit, which just took up space in my vehicle). I am not sure it was because people weren't returning them, as I never saw loose ones on the storage floors. And when I went - which was very early in the morning - there was no one else there who could be using carts. There just weren't any carts made available. Major inconvenience.

Of a more minor concern is the confusion of what a "10 x 20 x 10" is - two separate 10 x 10 x 10 units. This would have been good to know. Also, instead of indicating that two separate rooms are "5300-01," it would have been easier to understand if they were described as rooms 5300 and 5301.

I don’t like the fact that my movers, because I didn’t have a U-Haul truck couldn’t come in and had to unload from the street which took forever. Also, it took an additional hour to unload all of my stuff and get it to the 3rd floor because there was only one working elevator and 5 other people moving. Have 2 working elevators would’ve saved me money on my movers that were being paid by the hour. The building was clean but not properly maintained in my opinion for the elevators not fully functioning.

I had to ask the lady in the office and discovered that I needed a remote to get in and out. The elevator gave me some trouble? I had to log in and out at least 3 or 4 times. Some young people riding on 3 wheelers were blocking parking to the office and were being disruptive! Not a good idea to let them hang out in the parking area, not professional! Not safe!

I need my stuff get moved, they let me down after I pull out all of my stuff in my rented storage to get loaded in the truck. Said it will not push thru in the system. They should consider people with such conditions.
