Manvel MovsisyanI reserved a trailer for the the location 1/4 mile away from my home.This is the third trailer I have rented in the past month.EACH time they have either tried/or moved my pick up to another location.We reserve 5 days in advance.The location in Canyon Country is one of the larger ones I’ve been to,I don’t understand why your company can’t get the equipment to the locations you are reserving at.
Derek NausThe customer service at this location was excellent, but there was a system wide network issue with all U-haul centers on the morning of 1/19/24 which caused delays, but was handled well by associates at this location. Would be better if corporate U-haul operations team was more vigilant in making the system more reliable or have mitigation processes in place.
Thomas KimThey give me a trailer with out the feet for lifting up or down the trailer and I don't realize that because they connected to the truck and when I know rest is when I disconnect it. And specifically that trailer is super heavy. Because that for connected Back to the truck I can by my shelf and I get 1 hour more late and they charge me one more day. Even when I explained what is the reason. They don't care.and for me that is unacceptable. Is why I don't planning go back again to this location.
Fernando PerezThere was one isse/problem, there are (2) card readers on the outside of the building where my storage unit was located. 1 Reader is for checkin/checkou and the 2nd reader for opening the sliding glass doors to enter the building. Not sure why there needs to be 2 readers for this task,but the problem was the 1st reader was partially broken/damaged and you couldnt read the screen AT ALL so you didn't know what it did, or didn't say, which is just frustrating. Instead of having something broken/damaged, simpify it so it's just lights vs a display or something. more sophisticated. I understand the area and possibly some people in the area/passer by, or unkind custotmers can cause such damage. thank you for everything, it was very much appreciated and should the need arise again, we will use the location and/or other uhaul services again!

But the location representatives were nice but the over the phone they were unknowledgeable about their procedures of circumstances.
George MaupinI used U Haul couple of times before with satisfaction. This time my experience was a little less satisfying. The truck's trunk was not swept. It had broken glass pieces in it. Which ended up causing me to get cut and bleed. The gas tank was given empty to me. Even though I put some gas in it, at the return the staff was trying to add more charges to my bill. When I was given the truck No check was done. When I asked , I was told to take a picture of it. This all look like minor things. But, It adds up more unnecessary stress to a customer. The company needs to improve these things.

Vick FarrarThe rep lied to me about updating the information on the rental . Upon starting up the truck the gas gauge was not at 3/4 like he stated in my contract. I went back in to inform the rep about the issue and he stated don’t worry go ahead and go and I’ll send a text and email that I updated the contract with proper gas gauge level. I never received the txts or emails with ydated contracts and was charged for 7 gallons of gas. When I retired the truck same day it was rented a few hours later the U-Haul store was closed so I couldn’t address the problem. No im being charged fees and contracts were false

MANUEL GARCIAAGUIRREI recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with U-Haul at the Oxnard Avenue location in Van Nuys, California, and I feel compelled to share my concerns in this review. My reservation, made via telephone on November 3, 2023, led me to an unsettling situation upon arrival. The area was crowded with homeless individuals, and the U-Haul staff seemed disoriented. To add to my dismay, I was handed a U-Haul truck with no paperwork, only a promise that the documentation would be sent via email. However, the real nightmare began when I discovered the gas tank was almost empty, forcing me to risk running out of fuel. My attempt to refuel at a gas station turned into a hazardous situation when gasoline began pouring from the bottom of the truck. It was genuinely frightening. I called U-Haul's roadside assistance, which took an excruciating three hours to arrive. To ensure my family's safety, I had no choice but to rent another U-Haul truck. The refund process for the defective vehicle was needlessly complicated. Upon inspection by a mechanic, it was revealed that the gas line had been manually tampered with, a known issue in the neighborhood. Furthermore, U-Haul's Roadside Assistance initially insisted I continue driving the unsafe vehicle.The truck was also extremely filthy. I am left with a sense of frustration and disappointment. I kindly request: Reimbursement for the erroneous gas charges. Reimbursement for the extra mileage charges. Compensation for the lost time and expenses incurred during this ordeal. I have provided evidence to support my claims. U-Haul must address these concerns seriously and promptly, as this experience has been far from satisfactory.

Why am I not getting a parcel refund at the least? I’m a senior citizen on a fixed income and homeless, and I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of.
Phyllis Jackson | Overall ExperienceI had made two rental reservation, the first reservation dated 08/04/23, my daughter could not find the storage key so the van just sat in the parking lot overnight. upon returning the rental I even put in $10. Google Maps states the distance is 2.8. I'll round it to 3 miles. Round trip about 6 miles. of was. The CSR offered to do the return and email the receipt. The receipt stated $80.xx I thought it was a little steep but I knew I needed another reservation and I would compare the totals then. I did put a few miles on in the rental and gassed it up for the return, I do not have the mileage but we did make an extended trip. There is an issue at the 8500 Sepulveda branch. Perhaps a total refund should be given as a gesture of good business habits not the CSR's underhanded approach to good business practices. I've yet to receive an email response with how the issue is being handled. I keep getting the run around. I will continue too leve bad reviews until this get handled appropriately

There were a couple time the staff helped me just as they were closing and that was really great of them I was under so much stress and pressure that day and needed to place a few things in my storage locker. I had gotten there 5-10 minutes after they were supposed to close and I caught them on time and they let me in and waited the short time I promised. So helpful. Each time I needed help I always got it. So blessed.

Kathleen Serrano | First ImpressionsYour questions are targeted to answers you seek but do not describe how from when s reservation was booked the person Derick stated he was able too ok book the truck rental and the storage unit at the same location Which was what I stated I needed However Upon arrival not only were they booked At separate locations But I had been told by vehicle could park safely on the lot while I was moving The lot manager said not if those bookers don’t know what’s up There is no parking on the lot only street parking And That was limited and a walk-in back Plus must move vehicle or risk towing Then drive to storage facility fifteen minutes away and the lockers were small and the narrow corridor was an upper unit It will be difficult to load especially after moving items all night Now I will need labor to assist me $$$ and don’t know if they towed my car at the other site It’s a nightmare Now add no income homeless to the mix And saving items from landlords threatening to thrown them away And i I re as l realize now the high rental cost these days and how Storage facilities jack up the price beyond high demand And will continue to do so in rents So my things may not be mine for long. And mostly worthless to anyone else When I go to the unit I may need bigger storage and it’s not available A National corporation and this is how you run it And public storage is much worse! Why?
