Vincent S.My original reservation was at the uhaul location on Ogechee Rd. I'm Savannah, GA. I got sent to Abercrorn because Ogechee didn't have my equipment I reserved. At Abercrorn the clerk made me a contract for the right equipment but wrong equipment number. She then made me a contract for a new one (vehicle tow dolly). After returning the one I had in my possession to a Greensboro, NC uhaul, I got a call from a uhaul in Richmond VA stating someone just turned in equipment there but it wasn't me. I had to explain to them that it was for the equipment from the 1st contract in savannah where they didn't have the right equipment number. Finally, the original location of my reservation on Ogechee Rd in savannah called me and asked me why didn't I come pick up the equipment. They completely forgot that I did in fact go there to get the equipment but they didn't have it and sent me to Abercrorn.

Sharon B.I was overcharged for fuel. I put 24 miles on the truck and was charged for 7 gallons of fuel. (For the first 12 miles, the truck was completely empty). I called the store shortly after receiving the receipt (on 2/3/24) and was told that there was nothing that they could do about it, and that someone from "corporate" would call me on Monday (today, 2/5). I called again this afternoon, and was again told that "corporate" would be calling me. As of EOB today, I have not received any such call. This feels like a scam. Unless there is something wrong with the truck, it should get more than 3 miles to the gallon. (I understand that the weight of the contents decreases the fuel efficiency, but the truck wasn't even that full. There was no excessive idling, or anything else that would make this make sense. I drove it for about 45 minutes total).

Sharon B.The only issue we had was that we reserved two standard two-wheel hand carts and they had none to give me. We did take one appliance two-wheeler that I paid for, but was of no use to me. The truck, the people, and everything else was just as expected and needed.
Steve L.The auto carrier had come in from Utah. The webbing rachets were rusty from that previous environment. Before loading my car, I sprayed them down with WD-40 and it made a huge difference. I really appreciated the professional way I was treated at this location. The agent and her assistant rigged up the carrier to my truck which was greatly appreciated since I'm not familiar with the rig.
John J.Stop allowing a customer to reserve a truck and stop guaranteeing the reservation only to call me the day of my reservation to tell me that there isn't a truck available.. also I was never given the $50 that is promised if your reservation is not honored I'm spending $500 a week and for the last three weeks I've been getting cold the day of my reservation to tell me that my reservation cannot be honored. I will leave from one location on Abercorn Street and have to drive all the way to the other location on Ogeechee Road with no compensation, I'm self-employed, and sometimes I just don't have time to stick around and argue with staff

John S.I first made a reservation at the ogeechee rd location, and when I got there they didn't have what the app said they did, and was sent to the abercorn location. This cost me gas and time, also I wanted to return the dolly to the Reidsville Electric (Ace Hardware)location, but the return was made to a location close but very much off the beaten path, again costing me time and gas, and because of the location it was difficult to return through the app due to the phone signal being less than great. Overall I got what I needed and did what I needed to do but not before adding time and gas to every aspect of picking it up and dropping it off. Also it's misleading when the website says if we don't have what you need we will give you $50, I asked about that since the first store didn't have what the app said they did, come to find out as long as they can find you something whether or not you have to drive an extra 10-15 minutes and waste copious amounts gas trying to procure one, you don't getting anything. Must be some really really fine print somewhere. The girl at the Abercorn location deserves a raise and a nice paid vacation because she was more than helpful, more so than the other location by far. I even had the ogeechee location call me the next morning wondering if I was still coming because I had a pending reservation from the day before, it was even the girl who helped me and sent me to the abercorn location. I was also given the wrong address from the ogeechee rd location, which to me to the wrong place and had to correct that also. I don't think I will be using U-Haul in the future ever unless it is life or death.

When I finally did get my things out there were dropping and bugs in my furniture so I ended up having to get rid of most of my things. I was not compensated in any way for the time I did not have access to my unit. There was a point where they put a lock on my unit because I missed a payment due to changing cards and not updating it. I made the payment and called to request the lock be removed. They said they’d remove it within 24 hours. I drove an hour and a half after 48 hours and ended up having to cut the lock myself. One of the young ladies in the office was rude when I asked her who I needed to contact about the inconvenience. I will never use U-Haul for storage again. Worst experience ever hands down.

We opened the door and discovered water damage in the unit and a large box of personal clothing was damaged from laying in the water for who knows how long. I took pictures of the unit and there was white duct tape over this area, so that tells me there most likely had been water leaking previously, yet U-Haul rents the unit again w/o repairing the leak issue (taping it is like only putting a bandaid on it). We did not purchase insurance on this unit, didn’t believe we needed to, if you take proper care of your facility. Obviously you don’t and I expect to be properly compensated for the cleaning of the clothes with hopes of getting the musty/moldy smell out. I expect to be notified from U-Haul within the next couple days- if not, I will be following up myself.

The weeds from outside began growing on the inside through the back of the storage unit. I had rat feces everywhere. I tried to donate much as I could of furniture items to Goodwill. I refused to take any of it into my brand new home. Everything else was packed and tossed in the trash. I can’t believe I was paying for almost 4 years to throw everything away. It was horrible. The Uhaul truck was the only thing that was great. It didn’t breakdown this time on me. I wish I could submit these pictures to show other customers. I paid on the 30th of every month which included late fees since my unit was due on the 12th of every month. I paid for Uhaul to deliver horrible services every month to me. I recommend Uhaul to upgrade the whole structure and treat customers items as they would treat their own.

I accepted the offer, completed the online move in process at which point I was informed everything was all set to move in. I even called the facility to ensure that if I were not available to move into the unit that my representative could do so if I had completed the online process. I work as a front line healthcare provider and had to work so asked my wife to move the contents into the unit. I gave her all the details to do so, including a screen shot of my confirmation. At the facility, the buildings were very poorly marked and when she asked the employee where the unit was, she was informed that the employee could not give her any information because the unit was not in her name. When my wife finally located the unit, with no help from staff, the codes we were given for access did not work. As I was trying to care for my patients, I was also having to try to handle this chaos over the phone with my wife. Finally, my wife forced to go back to the employee and demand assistance to access the unit. Ultimately, locating and accessing the unit took twice as long as actually moving in the contents. As an extra bonus, to complete the online move in process to the unit, I had to pay 99.95 even though it was supposed to be free for month. I called the location 3/25/2021 to request a refund of the 99.95. The automated system informed me it would be a 20 minute wait for a representative. After nearly 39 minutes someone came on the line. I explained the pricing issue and was told that someone from that location would call me that day. Needless to say, it is 3/29/2021 and I have still not received a call. I am currently waiting on the phone (23 minutes so far) to try to get this resolved. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and frustrated with the entire process and would appreciate contact from someone who can help me. You guys make a point to mention on the automated phone system that calls are recorded to help keep your promises made to your customers. I would like to see proof of that.
