We dropped off after hours.
The process was much easier than I had expected. The person @ drop was also very courteous and helpful. I would recommend the services.
I reserved the space for a dollar amount and they told me the prices were recently increased and there was nothing they could do.

Homeless people who would sleep in their storage unit and charge their mobile devices from the ceiling. Also it was very hot inside. I chose your facility because I thought it was climate controlled.

Initially received prompt service. Subsequently tried to ask a question - waited in line for 20 minutes and gave up. Seems not enough staff it they are not properly trained to attend to waiting customers.
Offer more of the dodge cargo vans. Customer service rep did not want to rent me that specific van
We arrived with fifteen or twenty minutes left, and a representative told us if we hadn't made a reservation we should give up and go, basically.
We completed a reservation online (while waiting in line) and it worked out fine, bit it seemed like the rep had just been trying to turn us away.
The next rep I spoke to actually helped us get the vehicle, was very friendly, and quickly resolved an issue while setting us up. We were in and out, and it saved us hours of moving that night. Also the rep I spoke to later on the phone about my bill was very friendly. It seems like some reps are great but there was one who almost turned us away because it was the end of the day and she didn't want to spend five minutes saving us from a really long night.
Door to unit 1605 was broken before we moved in and despite often reminding U-haul, was never repaired during the 4 months we rented.
The person that helped me was rude and disrespectful. Her name is in the records for my order. She was the only female working inside. She was so rude that I will never use Uhaul again.
Not sure that checking in on line saved me any time. Still had to wait in line, provide drivers license, credit card,etc.
All 3 ladies at this location were amazing. I was in at 6pm on Sept 10. I believe one of the ladies name was Tonyaetta? All went above and beyond and made the experience a delight.

Your corporate reservation people are total idiots and made the shop look bad, even though it had nothing to do with them.
Great Customer Service, but I wish the shortened hours on Sundays had been pointed out to me when I started my rental, it would have saved me time and money.
I had to call 5 times over 2 weeks to ensure that my unit was moved out of and closed off.
The address given on the contract does not take you to the location. Identify its whereabouts beforehand on google maps. Hard to get to, after hours drop off is difficult because there is little or no spots available to park a vehicle. Because after hours, no staff or personnel to help you.
I always find the staff as well as the owners courteous informative their offices are clean and I have used them for years and really always will continue

My only concern with drop off location is that city driving in a large truck ,for someone not used to it ,may be challenging.
The woman who checked us in was extremely rude and unfriendly.
The express checkin feature of the website didn't work. That would save some time for the future.
I was left a voicemail that because the pickup location was further than 10 miles from my prefered location I would given extra miles but when I dropped it off I was charged a small free for going over miles. At the pick up location I was told not to worry about miles because it was a flat rate for the day. Communication was not very good.
I was supposed to pick up at 6th n Allegheny had no truck I reserved got e mail confirming. Been using u haul for many times. I believe you should reemburse me for mileage. Not a happy camper
Did not have moving items I had requested (dolly, furniture mover). These would have greatly increased the moving experience. Customer service was nice, but felt robotic.
We initially attempted dropping our vehicle at 312 N 13th St in Phila, as we were told we could drop our vehicle at any location in Philadelphia. The lone employee refused to take our Truck return, saying he had no room. When I pointed out there was room in the lot, he said he had other vehicles coming in. He said I was told the wrong information that I could return our vehicle to his location. I was forced to return our vehicle to a different location. This was inconvenient and discourteous. The location at 12th & Washington was very well run and quick when we returned our truck. Based on having to spend $145 to rent a truck for about five hours, I would not use U-Haul for this purpose again.

Pre-check process - Despite pre-checking, I stood in line for 35 minutes behind a number of people who had clearly just arrived, and who were slowly going though the truck/accessory selection process (the same process I had done on-line). I expected the pre-check process to be closer to an automotive pre-check experience at Avis; or at least a dedicated line for pre-check folks. No big deal, but if I had known I would be mixed in with the newbies, I would have arrived much earlier.
Existing damage to vehicle - The truck was badly damaged on the front passenger side, but no note of that was on my paperwork (despite the form having a vehicle silhouette for that purpose). That meant I had to go back into the facility to report this, and attempt to barge into the same line of people. I didn't notice the small, clear stickers on the dents that indicated that the damage was already known. Again, no big deal, but a time waster. As it happened, I drove away an hour after I anticipated. The people were pleasant and helpful, especially "Bent" who eyeballed the dents for me, but the process could have been smoother. FYI
Clean van - Thanks for the clean truck. I was transporting fine art (one large painting), so the clean rear bed was very much appreciated.
one problem was that the phone chargers were not working at all. that is not a good thing as people NEED to be able to charge their phones while driving. thanks
The person who helped me out was really great and he deserves a promotion, pay raise, or at the very least, a free lunch. I started at the 48th/chestnut office and they biffed my whole stressful move. My guy at the South office saved it. Thanks.
I made an online reservation for my truck rental the night before for a 10am pick up, and was not called to confirm by 7pm as promised. Then the next morning, the day I set the rental for, I revieved a phone call at 945am telling me my 10am pick up was postponed until 3pm. When I arrived at your location and asked why the big delay, I was told that just because you reserve a tuck and time on line doesn't mean you will actually get it.
I had also reserved a storage unit at your facility, for I believe the 5x5x9, which was the last one in the size apparently. I'm glad I asked to see the unit first because it had a large water main running up through the middle of it. This made it useless to store the furniture I had intended to put there, and I would have been hard pressed to fit a broom in the remaining space.
Safe to say I will be renting trucks from literally anywhere else from now on.

todays visit was the best of my last three rentals. The last tow rentals the girl behind the counter was not good but today he was quick and personable.

I was originally supposed to rent from the Uhaul on 13th and Vine (rather than this location) and was redirected here at the last minute. The interactions at the other Uhaul location were extremely frustrating for us and really complicated our move.
Everything was great! Staff was quick, helpful, the van we rented was in great condition. This is the second time we've used this location.

I booked and requested this location for pick-up a month in advance. I did see that you note that the most convenient location will be "agreed upon" in the confirmation call the day before pickup.
However, there should be some benefit to booking in advance. The last three times I have used uhaul I have received a call from a different location, and then had to call your regional office to get the location switched to the one I had initially requested (which you are always able to do, thank you.). It would really expedite this process to assign a location and keep it that way, on a first-come, first-served basis.
A note about "Uhaul reserves the right to change the location if needed" would be fine, but leaving it up in the air is frustrating, and puts unnecessary pressure on your employees, who then field call after call demanding a location change.

Customer service at this location has improved significantly only the last few years. When I rented a truck on Sunday, every employee was incredibly friendly and helpful. This made the stress of moving much more manageable!
Check oil light was on. Don't rent out equipment that hasn't been properly maintained. Also, the service upon returning my van was off-putting and curt.
Your late fee assessments are RIDICULOUS! 2 $15 late fees within a 30 day period

Note- my confirmation indicated your 13th and Wood street location was my scheduled pick up area. All employees were helping one customer and I was left to wait past my equipment time. Additionally when I was finally helped I was told that uhaul had switched my truck pickup location (12th street) and uhaul had not updated my confirmation / reservation, leaving me with a need to find alternate transportation to the new pickup location.
Wasn't sure if you guys had tie downs or not, but would be great to sell or rent.

Excellent customer service at this location. I had left my sunglasses in the truck, called them and then went to the site where a rep looked up the truck number and I was able to retrieve them. Very friendly staff!

I honestly never had a better experience with uhaul. It's been a while since I've needed one. From start to finish, everything was quick and easy.

I would add another person to assist with the return/check in process. I had to wait about 15 minutes while the representative completed another return. Not an egregious amount of time to wait; however, I was in a rush to make another appointment.
Though I reserved my equipment 2 months in advance, I still showed up the morning of my reservation and was not provided all the equipment I rented. I requested 2 dollys and was told they didn't have any. Though my reservation was "guaranteed" for $50 if I was not provided the equipment I reserved, I heard nothing back from Uhaul upon emailing their customer service department 5 days ago. I will be renting elsewhere next time.
There were no regular dollies available.

Please be more accurate when informing customers of the location and availability of the reserved equipment. In its current state it is totally unsatisfactory.
The person who helped me was very friendly and quick once he got to me. Only problem was he was alone and had three returns, he had a lot to deal with by himself and that cause a few people to have to wait.
I've received the actual call for the confirmation of my reservation ONE day before the actual reserve date (even though I received the truck one week before that date). Moving is a tedious process and requires advance planning. You cannot get a confirmation only one day before the scheduled truck pick-up date. It would help if this process was made in advance. Otherwise, the service was impeccable and staff extremely helpful and polite. Overall, I am a very satisfied customer.
The van I rened drove great, air conditioning was ice cold. It did however have that musty, someone smoked in the truck smell to it.

Clearer signs on where customers should park while checking in
Rear door mechanism was broken and would not open from the outside. The staff did not review the condition of the vehicle with me as is normally done at this location. Perhaps if this had been done we would have noticed prior to my leaving with the van. I was able to work around the problem but it was an inconvenience. I alerted staff to the issue upon return of the vehicle. Hopefully it will be resolved before another customer uses the vehicle.
UHAUL , I DIDN'T SEE ANY TRASH OR RECYCLE BINS , I HAD JUICE BOTTLES & WATER BOTTLES TO GET RID OF , I TOOK MY TRASH WITH ME ,THAT'S ALL.
Only issue was the cost. We were in a position to have the unit for some time. While I understand price increases, there should be a special pricing plan for long term .
i was told van was 8-10mpg...so i filled the car up for 200 mile travel accordingly.came back with over 1/4 tank more than needed because i got 20mpg. they said they won't do anything.
they got$15 worth of gas left in tank over and above needed. no apology. i told them never to tell anyone 8-10 if you're not going to compensate for your verbal errors.
SUPER easy, pulled in and checked out in less than 5 mins
Clean the windshield of the truck and have someone meet customers when they are done in office and head out to truck location. I was told to go across street and someone would get me my truck, and there was really no way to tell where you should wait or how to identify who would help you.
The hidden fees and extra taxes and all of that are not shown until you go to pay. That is poor customer service and very slimy, in my opinion.
Just dropped off but had to wait longer to do that than when I picked up - and there was no crowd. Not very friendly. I chose this for convenience of location but would consider going elsewhere of I need to services in this area again.

My rental with uhaul was horrific. I am pretty sure the entire crew at the 12th street location genuinely hates uHaul customers, or at the very least has no regard for them.
My original reservation was canceled on me at 4am the day of my move, but I was called and told I could go to 12th Street and pick up a truck there instead, for the same cost as my original rental. The lady at 12th Street told me that "the other uHaul just lied to you to get you off the phone". Even the manager was totally uninterested in helping, and only finally caved when I became irate.
Returning the truck was just as much fun. Even though I asked to return it to the same location, I got a text later that said I was to return it on the other side of town. When I drove to the return spot the block was closed for a street fair- so I called. The rep told me no problem, it was updated and I could drop it back off at 12th Street -so I did. The next day I get a call from 12th Street; the lady tells me that I was not authorized to drop it off at that location, and that the fine is equal to double the original rental cost. I explained what happened, and she told me to take it up with corporate. Wow.
Needless to say my next move will be with anyone that is not uHaul.

Van had no A/C on one of the hottest days of the year.
The truck was dirty and had graffiti on the outside. In my opinion this vehicle should have been out of service until the graffiti was removed and the truck cleaned

It is really tight navigating a 26 foot truck + hitch on Philadelphia side streets. The return site is on 12th, a small street. Detailed instructions should be given regarding the route to take to best navigate these streets.
The truck was not ready on time. Luckily the movers were able to come later in the day. It pushed everything back and I was not able to leave town until the next day. I was NOT happy!

I run a large construction company so I know what team effort is and when stuff or something is not correct.
I've never really had a good experience with uhual. First, I put in my request for a truck for 7a-7p and noted I want to reciebe updates by email/phone. One day later I get a text confirming my request from 7a-2p. How is this confirming my request when it's a totally different time than I needed it for. There should be a way better process for this.
Second, the customer service always sucks. I'm never listened to, in always talked down to and representatives always act like the customer is dumb. The only reason uhual is able to get away with this is because you all have a monopoly on moving services.

The first Cargo van I was given was pretty banged up; passenger side was damaged; and door only opened after a loud noise. I was dismayed and asked for another van. A car in that condition should not be offered to customers.
Very busy day for them but they handled it extremely well.
Too many hidden fees at the last minute me personally would never rent another uhaul the 1999 or whatever the rate was total crap. But it got the job done the staff was very good and had great knowledge of my questions

There was a leak in the roof of the passenger can. Otherwise the truck was good. Exceptional AC which is much appreciated when huffing around with furniture mid-Summer.
I wanted to change the time of pick up and called the UHaul (not local) number and was on hold for 10 minutes before I gave up. I logged in to the website to my reservation, but it was not possible to change the time - only the date and location. You need to upgrade the phone service and website.
It turned out to not matter. The staff were all most helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this location.
it was very loud in the location (service area); associates were heavily in conversations/enjoying among each other and therefore they felt rather distracted by customers around them; rental process could have been a bit smoother ...

UNBELIEVABLE. I made a reservation on JUNE 9TH for a 20' truck for this weekend (7/30-7/31), and I got a call on Monday 7/25, aka ALMOST @ MONTHS LATER, saying that they couldn't honor that reservation. I then talked to a guy who *guaranteed* me a 20' truck reservation for Sunday 7/31 from 9am-after closing. An hour or so later, I got another call from this location saying that my NEW reservation was no longer good. When I told the woman I was speaking to that the man I had talked to earlier had *guaranteed* that reservation, she replied that no men worked there, and that I must have been talking to someone in the central scheduling department, and that those people "don't have access to the store's schedule/the schedules change very quickly all the time". WHAT?! Why even have a scheduling department then??? This business is ridiculous. So I (foolishly) made a new reservation with her, which she called back 10 minutes later to say that her manager told her that 3rd reservation was no good. LITERALLY WTF. She put me on hold to check on the availability of 17' trucks, and then a few minutes later a DIFFERENT woman got on the phone and said "Hello this is Uhaul can I help you?" grrrr I told her that I'd been talking to Tanyetta and that she was checking on the availability of 17' trucks, and this new woman told me that Tanyetta was with a customer now, so I should talk to her. GRRRR. And each time I talked to someone they pointed out "well, it's the end of the month so things are really busy/booked up" YEAH THAT'S WHY I MADE A RESERVATION 6 WEEKS AGO. I ended up so frustrated at all this nonsense that I (finally) said forget it!

I could not drop off the truck at the original downtown location I had chosen because it was an active crime scene. No employees were out on the street directing people what to do with their trucks, so it was mayhem. There was nowhere to park the truck so we had to go to the south philadelphia location instead.
My gal was great! Down to Earth, and extremely professional!
There was a long line at pick up but other than that it was a good experience.

Confusing as to parking poor signage
Advertised as $25. Fees ridiculously high. Gas ridiculously high. Cost me $70 for 4 hours and 10 miles.
The person in charge was a woman and she had a nasty attitude
Two weeks ago I rented a 15'truck from U-Haul in Rockville, MD. The customer service was excellent; the young man at the counter actually accompanied me to the truck to make certain all was in order.
In the Philadelphia office clerks were hidden by boxes that obscured their presence. The young man was polite, well spoken, and efficient, however, the cargo van he called up, though clean, was flashing warnings that the oil was due for a change. I discovered this after I had driven away from the office; so I had to return and be given a replacement.
The frustration of lost time was clearly avoidable. Had the person who brought the van out of line been alert to the warning on the dashboard or had the clerk went out to check the van himself, (as was done in Rockville) time and effort and reputation would not have been compromised.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well I was treated. I've dealt with U-Haul over the years (the last time was many years ago though) and my previous experiences were not that good. The personnel was extremely helpful, polite, and amicable.
I reserved the truck for 12 hours and received a confirmation number. I also completed the express check-in to speed up the process and received confirmation again of my rental duration. As it turned out, my confirmation was not honored and I was made to return the truck sooner which was difficult for me. I had to resort to using a second vehicle to compensate for the lack of being able to use the truck for a second trip. Some of the employees were impatient and rude when I tried to explain my circumstances. Poor customer service.

My van stalled in the middle of the city AND on a major highway off-ramp. Literally, the engine just cut out on me. Not once, but twice! I'm not sure why U-haul is providing faulty vans to its customers. Luckily, I let the engine cool off for five minutes (in the middle of the street!), and the engine turned on and I was able to finish my job.
Signage needs improving - it was not clear where to drive in to return the truck. Once I found someone, I was helped by a very friendly employee who took care of the return very efficiently.
Please find out who the gentleman was at the cash register that waited on me. He was extremely helpful, polite, and very informative . His customer service skills were excellent. One of the main reasons why the visit was pleasurable in spite of the long line.
The side view mirrors should be checked for stability because mine fell off when I hit a bump on the highway. The previous renter likely hit the mirror on something and did not report it to UHaul.
I was charged for 40 miles when I did not travel more than 3 miles. I brought this up, was told that I should have kept documentation.
The manager, Andrew Curry, seemed pleased when I brought this up, as if he had done this on purpose.

U-haul is my first choice for renting a vehicle to move large items. Always a great experience from everyone there starting at the counter to the person who preps the vehicle.

The truck was brand new (I think) but it smelled like someone had been driving and smoking in the truck for years. Not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience.
It's so easy to rent a truck, whenever I hear someone asking "does anyone have a truck I can borrow?" I always tell them to just rent one from uhaul. They're affordable, 4 hours is usually enough, and you don't have to buy anyone pizza afterwards. It's so easy. I always appreciate renting from you guys.

I was overcharged when I called for the discrepancy I was hung up on 3 times then when someone did answer they put me on hold for 20 min before I hung up. Not customer service oriented.
The help we received from Tonyetta was amazing. She rectified a mistake that had been made from another location and helped out immensely.
The location was convenient but no one came to help me when I pulled in to return the vehicle. I had to hunt down a worker. Seemed like they wer low on staff for busy season.
My only (only!) issue was that the rental desk was difficult to locate and hidden behind moving supplies. The customer service was outstanding and the employees were super friendly and helpful.
Opening up earlier is always helpful to movers who may want to get an earlier start. Other than that, I had a pleasant experience.
The Philly drop off location was a mess. There were arrows everywhere for the drop off area which made it confusing and too many trucks. When I finally found the actual drop off spot, there was no where to park. I was forced to park at a bus stop, 500' from the drop off. I asked another customer where the staff was, she said she was driving a truck away and would be right back. When she came back she was quick and helpful. My suggestion, you need more staff to take away trucks and checkout customers. Other than this location, the trip was a success.

This location was perfect however my reservation was with the university City location and my experience was horrible. I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau and writing a letter to your corporate office reporting the poor customer service I experienced from the regional office. Overall, I would think twice before using Uhaul again because I was completely dissatisfied with University City Locations and the regional offices customer service.

It was hard to park and go in to return the truck because it was way too crowded and not enough room to bring the truck back.
First they didn't have my reservation, then when I was hoping they would make an effort to find me another, or offer me the $50 I didn't realize you only get the $50 if u don't rent anything.... its why I came to you in the first place?! I drove 2hrs from jersey to pick it up, and basically wasted my time and money. after an hour she offered me and very old and dirty 5x10 trailer for the same price! Bad enough I had to basically screw my move I basically couldn't do anything, never ever had an experience like this before. Lesson learned, reservations don't mean anything and neither does this company....

This particular location was excellent. The people were friendly, and the dispatcher was very flexible with the terms of my rental, when I returned the truck to (what turned out to be) the wrong location.
Unfortunately, the reason it was the wrong location was because of the corporate UHaul system. It allowed me to make the input, online, that I wanted to pick up the vehicle at Washington Ave and return it to the Lancaster Avenue location, seven miles away.
However, the system automatically overrode that input and turned it into a same-location return, and when I tried to contact U-Haul customer service, no one picked up the phone for 20 minutes.
When I got a connection on U-Haul chat, they said nothing could be done about it.
Fortunately, the Washington Ave manager gave me a way to solve the problem, by giving me extra time to return the truck, and not charging me for it.
His customer-driven approach far exceeds that of the parent company.
The south philly location is perfect and better than CC. I found parking to be better and not next to a shelter plus restricted parking. Staff was great incl Mr. Clarke who helped me. All were nice and I had a great exp from both times I visited for my boxes and then pick up truck.
Tyrone, who helped us get the truck picked up and on the road (he was the one out on the lot) was really great. He was nice and was careful to double-check the stats and info for the truck. He made our experience great. Everyone was very friendly overall!
The interior windshield was filthy and it was difficult to see out. The change oil indicator was on.

Your online reservation system is horrible. Two times I have had a huge mess of getting the equipment I needed and either having to go to another location or having my reservation cancelled.
Parking after hours was a bit of a challenge but it worked out.
I wish my business ran as smooth as uhaul Iwould be making some big bucks very fast and efficient good job

I don't know why you guys have shitty reviews I've used y'all twice now and have no issues. I will say there's always a back up in the returning equipment department, but it's never too brutal.
A little disappointed with my experience with this location this time, after such a good experience 2 weeks ago! The woman checking me in told me I had to return the van by 3pm even though I had confirmed a reservation until 8 am the next day. When I told her so, she said that it was based on availability and my email would have told me so already (it did not). Only when one of her coworkers came by to tell her of her mistake did she let up. Most of the people at this U Haul were great, but this one woman was pretty rude. Otherwise no complaints with this experience, van was fine, other people were very helpful, and returning the vehicle after hours was easy.
When calling in to inquire about extending the time a half hour (which I was told would be no problem when I picked up the van), the woman on the phone was clueless as to whether or no there would be an additional charge (I had been told when I picked it up that there wouldn't be).
You changed my location for pickup to this location which added 30 minutes into my trip and then the vehicle I reserved was not available. They insisted I take a much bigger truck than I was comfortable driving. The clerk did NOTHING to make me feel better and she quoted me wrong mileage leaving me to believe I would have a large fee added on which was wrong. She was MISERABLE

I just wanted to let you know that the site manager, Shannon Jones was so helpful to us. We could not complete everything before having to return the van because my mom got sick in the middle of our move. The consequences would have cost us 2 more rentals and several hundred dollars. She worked with us, got us a van for later in the day or tomorrow and made sure that we would be able to complete everything this weekend for a reasonable amount of money. She could not have been any nicer or more helpful!! Kudos Shannon.

the a/c in the truck was not working
I was told I could have the auto carrier at 9am because I had to pick the truck up at a different site I asked if I could get it around 10 when I arrived at 10 it was not there is was told it would not be in till 11 so I told them I was going to load the truck and would come back at 12 the cashier said fine arrived at 1230 the trailer was still not in I then received a call at 245 telling me the trailer was in to come get it when I received the trailer there was a breake light out and turn signal was told nothing they could do drove 855 miles with out a brake light and turn signal when I arrived at the drop off point I notified the sale there he immediately fixed all around poor service from the location of pick up
Poor communication by the location, did not have the truck we requested and did not notify me of this. Very rude costumer service, extremely frustrated and unsatisfied.
Had a great experience. Staff went out of their way to be helpful, answered all my questions. I returned the cargo vaf after hours, and got my bill via email the next morning, no issues! Very positive experience.
My payments were never late and in return I expect the same courtesy . My lost time did not seem to matter , and one driver and one truck is unacceptable when you are in the Philadelphia.
Add additional available milage if you are forcing the customer to go out of his way to pick up the vehicle. Had to travel 10+miles on public transportation just to pick up the vehicle, and than driving the Uhaul 10+ miles back home; which I ended up paying for those milage.
One tire on the trailer had a leak. At speed the trailer moved laterally, definitely something bent on the trailers tires or axle. It definitely needs to be fixed before someone else tows it.
The van I was given registered FULL when I left the dock. I traveled 26 miles but it took over 7 gallons to refill it to FULL (used automatic pump shut off)!! Either, the van gets terrible mileage, 3.7 MPG, or it wasn't really full to begin with. Something needs to be done about this in the future. At least when the gage reads FULL it better be completely full!
The service at the location was great. Super friendly from the service counter to the guys who brought around the truck. Could not have been a better experience!
The only problem I had was simple. The rental was one way from Chambersberg to Philladelphia. They said the drop off location was 10 miles from where I was moving furniture too.
I finished unloading the truck at 8pm on saturday night. When I saw the name of the city the drop off location, I assumed it was an peripheral Philly city. It turned out, when I plugged it into my GPS, that it was 226 miles away.
When I attempted to arrange a Philly drop off, the traffic manager was gone for the evening. This isn't a problem in a suburb, but in Philly, parking a truck is not a simple process.
I ended up leaving the truck at a Philly UHaul, where I expected they would redirect me to drop off the vehicle, which is what they did on Sunday.
When I called Sunday morning to get them to designate a new drop off location, i was tied up on the phone of over an hour. Finally, I explained to the customer service rep, that it was Father's Day and that I had plans and couldn't spend the day trying to decide "what happened". I said that I realized it was an honest mistake, and was there a location we could agree on, so that I could formally return the truck.
THe Customer Service Woman was very understanding and arranged for me to leave the truck at the UHaul I had picked the night before. I returned to that location and completed the check in quickly.
Overall, the service and equipment was fantastic. I realize that sometimes mistakes happen, but I was very pleased.
BTW, the price was quite reasonable also!
There was an error on my pick up fuel amount. The person checking my car saw this and put a line on the contract for the correct amount and initialed it. But when I returned the truck I was charged a lot for missing fuel. Quite a lot. He said there was nothing he could do. No one told me to change the contract. I thought that the initialed line would do the trick. I should get this money back.
Better maintenance on vehicles. Had a truck that brakes were vibrating badly and the engine would downshift when braking.
The truck I rented air conditioning did not work
I was sent to the wrong location first, then there was no dolly in the van which I paid for. When I called to let them know and get refunded they were rude and took unreasonably long. Then when I went to drop off they said the credit wasn't put through. I will never rent from you again

I rented the dodge van to take my motorcycle to bike week the van was great it was plenty of room to strap down my bike and my luggage the van drove very well to myrtle beach,sc i thought the price was going to be high but the rate came out great i saved alot of money on gas and on tolls i didnt have to tow a trailer the customer service was awesome i was in and out with the express check out and shanara was very nice when i rented the van and tycesa got me in and out when i returned i will definitely use this location again thanks uhaul!!!!
The employee who first rang me up & checked me out at the facility was amazing. She was very kind & friendly not to mention very informative since this was my first time renting a U-haul truck. I would HIGHLY recommend this place
This location has a GREAT team of U-Haul staff. They ALL are attentive, personable and CARE about your specific move. And they are supportive and helpful. From the service guy in the lot, to the service folks at the counter, to the return staff. Feel like I have friends in the business.
The line for returning the truck blocked the street for a while during the busy time I returned my truck.

The truck had maintenance issues unaddressed WHEN I GOT IN. Tires, mirrors, etc. when I returned 6 hours later, the staff, save for one. Guy, were extremely RUDE.
Tonyetta Christy was AMAZING. She helped me over several days and trips -- with boxes, reservations and other details -- and was an absolute pleasure to work with. That part was the easiest of the entire move.
Absolutely horrible. I would not recommend these movers to my worst enemy. They are far from professional movers. Sloppy and careless are the first two adjectives that come to mind.

You told me that I was not going to be able to pick up a truck until 4:15 PM on the day that I rented it. This was a very stressful situation and when someone rents a truck, you should make sure that you have a truck. Seems simple, I don't know why you can not figure it out.
The Washington Ave location in Philadelphia was exceedingly rude and dishonest. They did not honor their "guarantee" when they violated the time of my contract and continued to try to weasel their way out of honoring their side of it by forwarding my calls to other locations and responding to my customer service complaints without GM approval. I strongly recommend choosing a different service and/or location.

I waited for 25mins in the parking lot for someone to get the trailer i rented. I ended up getting the trailer myself and hooking everything up and testing it. I took the trailer number inside to the check out and finished my paperwork. Trailer had trash and looked to be oil on the floor of it.

the website will only let me reschedule delivery for 2 weeks out. the website implied those 2 weeks were for transit even though the box was already here in Philly.
