The initial move-in storage part was a little wonky, having to obtain the storage unit number and access key card.. I walked over to the office and they were able to fix me up right away. Everyone was very helpful and it took no time as they fixed me up and got me on my way. Moving in was quick. The were carts available to assist us on our move.

The lock on the back of the truck wouldn’t lock. I could get the latch in place and push it into the locking device, but it would never catch.
Also, a heads up about the automatic “tow/haul” option being turned on would have been helpful.

The bothering thing yo me, is the girl that helped me said I had to leave a 100.00 deposit. Along with the charges od 60.00 on my travis union n debit card. I told her I have never had to do that. So I went to the bank deposited additional money, went back. Another guy helped me, I was done in 10 minutes and there was no deposit needed. That wasted 1 hour of my time . The gentleman who checked my return back in was great. I feel she discriminated against me.

Moving can be a stressful experience, but she managed to lighten the atmosphere with her cheerful and caring personality. She was very professional and I couldn' t have been more happy. I had a storage unit for about12 or 13 years everything was fine until 2 or 3 months before I got rid of my 2 units first they doubled billed me for one then they said they couldn't refund or transfer the payment then when I turned it in it was on the 5th of the month they said they couldn't prorated so I paid for 20 days on an empty unit then a month later when I turned in my other unit it was on the first of the month they said I had to pay for the whole month or it would be turned in to collections im 63 years old disabled have very little money I will never recommend uhaul to anyone I feel that after 12 or 13 years as a loyal customer it was a slap in the face they said it was corporate policy well shame on you uhaul.

When I made my reservation online, it was for a 5×5 unit and since I rented a Uhaul van at the same facility on January 31, 2021 I was supposed to get the 1st month rental for free. When I got to the facility at 1327 W Texas in Fairfield, I was told that there wasn't any 5×5 units and all they had was a 5×10 for $10 more a month and they hadn't heard about the 1st month free. I agreed to the larger unit and it worked out perfectly. 5×5 would have been too small. Thanks for the error. I will still be using Uhaul for any moving or storage needs.

Everything was great until I tried calling the 800 number to order a remote for the gate and left several messages but no one ever called me back. Every time I I called the 800 number I was transferred to a voicemail. It seemed no one knew how to direct me but yet there’s advertisements with the phone number regarding a remote for the gate posted all over the gate. No one at the local store could help me since it is no longer privately owned. The two people who run the store are absolutely wonderful and very helpful. The lady’s name is Neirman (sp?), and I forgot her husband’s name. Great people and very professional. I will miss them.

Very bad customer service also they lied about the storage place that I was renting it was supposed to be a smaller unit but I paid for a larger unit.
