Jeremy Turowetz- Se faire charger des frais d'essence de 11l pour 11km (20.99$) + des frais de service pour l’essence (30$) est tout simplement une escroquerie (photos pour preuve à l’appui) - Faire un appel pour signaler cette "erreur", se faire mettre en attente sans avoir le temps de signaler l’autre problème bien plus important: sac à dos laissé dans le véhicule, l’appel pour signaler cet oubli a été fait moins de 20min après la remise du véhicule loué (les conversations étant enregistrés, il est facile de vérifier la véracité de ces informations) - Revenir à l’ouverture le lendemain matin pour signaler ces problèmes, se faire prendre de haut, - Dès l’utilisation des mots : plainte à la police pour accéder aux caméras de surveillance, Le sac est "retrouvé" dans la salle réservée aux employés Je trouve cela pour le moins surprenant comme attitude

jaydi cilentoBreaks system not very functional, damaged trailer lock system. The trailer was dirty (full of screws and plastic pieces), I had to ask for it to be cleaned first. Not reliable customer service. I called to make sure the trailer was returned since it was still appearing as rented 7 hours after i returned it, the person told me she'll make sure it's fixed. 3 days later it was still charging me until i call again at uhaul (main office) and ask again. The customer service was much better on the second call

Melanie Dubois | Overall ExperienceThe vehicle I reserved was not equipped with snow tires. The agent proposed a larger vehicle that did have snow tires for the same price. Snow was not cleared off of the vehicle I was going to use and there was no snow brush in the vehicle to do so. The gas tank was below one quarter. The gas cap was stuck and I was not able to take it off. I brought it to the location and they were able to take it off after trying for about 2 minutes. The inside of the truck was fairly dusty and the ramp had construction debris left on it. There was also old papers left on the dash.

When I tried to pickup my rental, it was asking my to take a picture of my driving license and was rejecting the picture stating it was not a head shot. Went at the counter and the clerk told me that the app/ web app don't work well and are a bother more than anything. I wasted so much time from me.

mohyeldin ElkhoulyThe truck was functional, but as usual, kind of low on gas; I definately prefer to get the vehicle full of gas and return it full, that way there is no ambivalence. The truck wasn't super dirty, but the cab could have used a good cleanup, as the dash and the console felt kind of slimy.

Paul Sidon | First ImpressionsThe truck I rented was not there when I was supposed to pick it up. Nobody informed me it has not been returned. I had to make another reservation and ended up with a bigger truck then what I wanted and it didn't fit my needs. I was told it was going to cost me the same, but I was charged 160$ over the initial price. I called 3 times the costumer service and made a complaint and still was not reimburse. In addition to that, as I was supposed to rent a cargo van, I had no padlock with me so my Stuf wasn't secured.

albert constant miyem ndjackIt cost me $60 in gas for 30km! $120 total for 60km!! Every time you shift or restart the truck, the "Tow Haul" option lights up in the dashboard. I have the impression that it sets automatically to consume more gas so we have to put in more, then less gas for U-Haul to put in. It's a scam. The truck had Kleenex tissues in the door.

gerardo justinianiLorsque j’ai réservé dans votre application pour une fourgonnette le tout était confirmé. Le jour avant d’aller chercher le camion j’ai reçu un appel pour me dire qu’il n’avait pas de fourgonnette disponible dans la région. J’ai dus louer un camion 10 pieds qui était plus chère. Lorsque j’ai retourné le véhicule à St-Hubert j’ai remarqué qu’il avait au moins 7 fourgonnettes et on m’a avisé au comptoir qu’ils étaient disponibles en matinée, qu’il en avait toujours disponible. J’ai étais mal renseigné et ma location m’a coutait plus chère que prévu.

Therefore it enough monitoring and action. I think lately people had sex near my locker also leaving their panties and all. Seriously disgusting and inappropriate.

Needless to say, during a very stressful and difficult time in my personal life, waking up to believe that all of my life's possessions and almost $20k worth of musical equipment and instruments was gone put me at the threshold of having a heart attack. I was disturbed by the lack of accountability or offering to make things right. The person who I called confirmed my locker was still locked and in my name and offered me a free month, although no email to confirm that offer came through and no one was willing to honour or even contact the manager for a reasonable conversation about a gesture towards my inconvenience when I finally did empty my locker one week later. I got out of there as fast as I could because you may just rent empty spaces but people fill them with their lives. Really expected some form of a gesture as the person I spoke to on the phone that morning said the email was sent to the wrong person and he profusely apologized to me. I have screenshots of the email date vs the date I actually checked out if anyone is interested in corroborating this complaint. The staff at the desk during check in and check out, although unable to help me with my complaint, were kind polite and professional.

DANNY MAJEROVICH | Overall ExperienceI was initially (and repeatedly) informed that there was a problem with my storage unit payment by email and advising me to log into my account. Since I do not have an online account with U-Haul Du Centre-Ville De Montréal Cité 2000 - Entreposage (my payment details were set-up in person), these daily emails very stress provoking. They also did not indicate what the problem was and/or provide an alternative means of contact. After following up with my bank on August 11th, I managed to contact the U-Haul office to advise them that the problem was at their end (phone call/conversation also on August 11th). I was then informed that this information would be passed along to the Manager, who would text (preferably) or phone if further follow-up was indicated (no text/phone message was received). Unfortunately, the emails persisted until I then received a notice of late payment, but with specific contact information. I immediately followed up by phone (August 16th) and explained the situation, after which, the issue was rectified very quickly and easily. However, this entire situation caused me unnecessary worry, stress, and time, which could have been avoided by providing: - direct contact information (phone/email/webmail) for U-Haul Du Centre-Ville De Montréal Cité 2000 - Entreposage to facilitate rapid resolution/clarification of any issues; - additional information about the respective problem to avoid the email recipient regarding it as spam; - messages in both official languages (many 'movers' to Québec will not be completely fluent in French); - and avoid 'harassing' long-term reliable clients with vaguely worded 'quasi-threatening' messages.

Other locations are by far superior.

Barbara Szkop | Overall ExperienceThe system doesn’t allow you to be independent. You always need to phone the Intercom when you get in and out of the storage. The issue is mainly the parking. In order to park the car you have to ask them to open the garage. To load the car there is a huge difference of level so that if you have very heavy things it’s impossible to transport them on the cart provided. You might need 2 people to lift any heavy object and place it on the cart. No assistance at all to understand where my door is, what is the entire process of registration, what they need. I had to go back and forth 3 times cause nobody told what was the entire process and they gave me 1 indication at time. The first Time I waited the agent to have assistance about the registration and I was addressed to another reception. They have me indications about where the office was but nobody moved to show me the way. Of course by being a place where I’ve never been there were different doors and o wasn’t sure the reception one was down the corridor. I had to come Back and ask again. Once there I had to wait few minutes and once avails they asked me a document I didn’t have and had to come back to the car to take the right one. I had already done the payment of the storage online and tought it was done. Lomg story short, also to find the door it’s been a nightmare as I was rushing and from 12.30 I arrived I got out at 3pm only to deposit 2 bags and little things. It’s a big no.

I would rent a storage unit again at this location because it is so secure but renting the trailer was just short of disaster.

Am given a temporary smaller unit on 3rd floor...we open it..the floor stained brown from drips from the upstairs unit and then we find USED NEEDLES in the crack at the top ( dropped from top unit) i can just imagine what those brown stains were from...was given no other solution. We cancelled and returned home. I will never use uhaul storage they have poor service and allow drug use in their facilities. They obviously do not follow protocol and customer service is horrible.

Upon arriving at the facility, my 10x10 unit had been given away to someone else because I hadn't moved anything into my unit yet. They waived the cost of two separate units for one month to make up for it but the belongings I have will not fit inside them as the ceilings are far too low. I did not get a guarantee on a 10x10 unit being reserved for me in the next two days, though I did get offered for that to be free for a month, if it were found. The person from the front desk helping me did not make a large effort to explain any of this, I needed to reiterate and ask a lot of questions to navigate and figure any of this out. Not impressed.

Il est regrettable qu'une liste d'attente en ligne pour des boxes de grande dimenssion ne soit pas offerte par U-Haul. Et qu'on ne puisse pas voir le prix de ces boxes en ligne si aucun ne sont libres. Le site et l'application U-Haul ne sont pas très bons. Mon compte U-HAUL n'est même pas lié avec mon dossier de location d'entreposage...

Bien que réservé 3 semaine à l’avance avec un numéro de confirmation, on m’a annoncé à mon arrivé que mon unité n’étais plus disponible et qu’il fallait que je paie plus chère pour avoir un unite. On m’a dit” quelqu’un d’autre la prit avant vous”. Leur solution: Si je n’étais pas content, je pouvais aller ailleurs…. Après un déménagement, l’entreposage n’est pas une partie de plaisir et je n’ai pas apprécié que mon unité n’étais plus disponible et qu’on me laisse sans options et surtout quand je suis arriver à la date réservé sans retard. La superviseur des lieux m’a offert un mois gratuit, ce qui n’etais pas suffisant. Elle a fini par m’offrir assez pour comblé la différence de tarif pour le “nouvel” unité. Très insatisfait de la méthode de réservation de u-haul. Complètement unacceptable. Je ne vais jamais recommandé u-haul.

Rachel Cesar | Overall ExperienceÉtant à la recherche de locaux pour musiciens et en ayant considéré plusieurs lieux, mon choix s'est rapidement porté vers Cité 2000 essentiellement pour le côté sécuritaire (accès par carte magnétique, nombreuses caméras, gardiens, présence à la réception 24h/24, quais de déchargement surveillés, plate-forme de gestion en ligne). Les locaux sont proposés à des tarifs abordables. De bonnes améliorations ont été apportées au cours des années : ascenseur, rénovation du hall d'accueil, machines distributrices, sanitaires rez-de-chaussée. Les studios sont inclus dans un bâtiment U-Haul ce qui pour les musiciens permet facilement la location de véhicules pour le transport d'équipement pour les spectacles. L'amélioration que je souhaiterais voir apporter serait une solide rénovation des sanitaires aux étages (mon local est au 3ème). Je souhaite pour ma part demeurer encore de nombreuses années à Cité 2000 car c'est une place stratégique et une communauté intéressante pour les musiciens.

Il serait souhaitable de remettre à chaque nouveau client un document plus précis sur le 'ou, quand comment' de chaque étape (.Carte d'accès, Check-in initial, locations des points d'accès, ascenseurs spécifiques, , limite des déplacements, accès au débarcadère et check=out.) La première carte d'accès qu'on m’a remise était au nom d'un ancien client. Je n'aime pas être obligé de NE PAS prendre mon propre cadenas et être obligé d'acheter un cadenas de plus de $10. Sinon le personnel est poli, acceuillant.et serviable. Les heures normales d’accès ont été réduites pendant la pandémie et j’espère qu’elles seront rétablies dès que possible.

John Arthur | First ImpressionsThe new elevator to the second floor was non functional the day I rented my unit and as such had to move my things into a unit on the 3rd floor and wait for the following day to transfer my contract to a unit in the 2nd floor and move all my things again. Then on 2 separate occasions, the same elevator was not working when I needed to get things from my storage. Last week, I had to get a 300lbs piece of equipment out on a dolly from the emergency stairs because the elevator was broken again. I arrived at 11am and was told the elevator wasn't working. I left my number and asked to be called with an update and waited til 330pm before calling back and being told the elevator would not be fixed that day. I wasted half a day waiting and then had no choice but to move the equipment down the stairs in my own. I don't have complaints about the staff but my unit has a part of the it being taken up by a column and the unit is not discounted for the lost space, which I accepted. However, to arrive there to recooperate items and not being able to, on account of the elevator not working on more than one occasion, makes no sense. Further, I asked that management contact me regarding this and no one bothered calling. I suffice to say, I emptied my unit and didn't bother renewing it.

Ils ont pris plus de temps que prévu et nous avons réalisé à la fin de ce déménagement que le loquet pour fermer un des deux entrepôts choisis ne fermait pas correctement. (N.B. Nous avions réservé les espaces 4002 et 4035). Selon l''employé de U HAUL MONTRÉAL qui est venu à notre demande constater les dégâts, cela n'avait pu être fait que très récemment. Cet employé qu'il faut féliciter a tenu à fixer temporairement le loquet pour que personne d'autre que nous ne puisse avoir accès à cet entrepôt. Quoi qu'il en soit, le superviseur des deux déménageurs joint par téléphone a assuré mon épouse Joëlle que nous n'aurions pas à payer plus que les deux heures convenues et qu'il verrait à régler cette question d'horaire avec les deux employés en question. Ajoutons que, de la part des employés de l'entrepôt lui-même, nous avons eu pour l'occasion un service impeccable. .

Karine Mirambeau and Pablo from the desk office in Montreal-Notre-Dame were very helpfull in person & on email, as it was so complicated to reach U-Haul office in Montreal on the phone from Europe. They have been particularly efficient to solve my extension during the confinement, as I couldn't come to do it. I would definitively use U-Haul storage on Notre-Dame in Montreal again, and recommend it! My only reserve in the overwhole expérience is about reaching the specific storage office by phone from abroad: I had to give up to do so, after 20 to 30 minutes waiting. In the end, I sent a friend of mine to solve the problem in person at the office, and pay the last extra month.
