I can't say anything needs to be improved here. I showed up at my scheduled time, my equipment was ready, the person at the store was very nice and ready to help, and she got me all set up in a timely fashion. The return was the same. Super easy to drop off and check in. So I had a great experience with the staff and the location. Thank you.

Daniel G.The U-Haul had broken glass in it - it smelled awful (like something died in it). By the time we realized it - we had no choice but to load and move. Loading the truck led to 2 people getting physically sick from the smell. Everything we moved had to be washing - sectional required a deep clean to get the smell out. We were given the truck on Empty & told to return it with 1/4 tank. We requested some sort of discount for the poor condition of the truck & cost for needing to clean everything transported to get rid of the awful smell - was told the manager would call me in the morning. No Call - No Adjustment. Avoid this location.

I've never been to a uhaul without multiple employees and even with multiple people, it has always been a very tedious and slow process to check out and get equipment. Somehow, this manager not only checked me out in less than 10 minutes, but also verified my equipment and gave me the keys! She also inspected and cleaned trucks while I got myself situated! She needs to be training other service providers!!!!

Lee D.First - the lady who helped us (Anastasia?) was friendly and did her best. I commend her on her efforts. She deserves 5 stars. Now - to speak about the U-Haul Corporation - and I will be frank. Why is there only one person working at a time every time I go through your company? Every U-Haul I go to that isn't a local market or shop - your ACTUAL retail locations - are regularly staffed by only one person who is beyond out of their mind from not getting your company to open up and pay for at least 1 more employee. Your employees are burnt out, and they take it out on us customers. For example - On the 7th, I got a dirty truck with an 1/8th of a tank of gas in it. From the onset, I have to delay everything to go fill it up with fuel for whatever I need to do. And then, I have to clean it or all of my families belongings would be covered in dirt, dry mud... whatever is on the ground of these trucks. Having only one person working certainly keeps anyone from getting a truck or piece of equipment they can feel safe using. I know that when I received this truck - I was instantly upset. Then - it dawned on me - if the truck is this much of a mess, and there has been only ONE person working, who is doing the maintenance on these trucks/auto-transports? Am I putting myself or my family in harms way by using your service/trucks?! That, I feel is RIGHTLY the blame of corporate and whatever individual came up with the idea of staffing your locations at less than the bare minimum. There could and probably will be a horrible moment in the future where something awful happens - a bad accident due to vehicle negligence - this asinine idea is to be blamed for it. As of this moment - UHaul stock (UHAL) is currently trading at $64.10 a share, with a market cap of $12.2 billion and an average Revenue per Employee rating of $162.92k - more than enough for you to hire more people. Stop being so obtuse and stingy with your payroll and listen to a customer and get someone in there - not just one employee. That is an asinine practice and will cause me to go elsewhere for my needs in the future.

Their affiliate in Ellensburg AAA Wildcat will never see this review as Uhaul protects them by only allowing reviews of the affiliate at point of pick up, and not for the location for which the reservation is intended to be made. AAA Wildcat avoids receiving the terrible reviews they deserve because of the scam Uhaul allows their affiliates to get away with. Here is the scam Uhaul enables. I booked a trailer reservation with AAA Wildcats in Ellensburg, and called them two days before the rental date, to confirm my rental will indeed be ready, because of poor reviews they have. Spoke with Manager Karen, who confirmed my trailer would be there. Karen told me a bold face lie that trailer would indeed be arriving 1-2 days before my rental date. I called because AAAWildcat is a notorious poor preforming Uhaul location. The afternoon before my rental I am in Ellensburg and get a call from Uhaul stating that I had changed my reservation and further state to me that I told AAAWildcat in Ellensburg that quote: I stated that I prefer to pick up my rental in SEATEC !!! What a load of crap!!! Shame on Uhaul for rigging your review system such that AAAWildcat in Ellensburg will never have this show up in their reviews, and shame on Uhaul for allowing disreputable Affiliates such as AAAWildcat in Ellensburg to change a customers reservation they don't deliver on. As well as enabling AAAWildcat to verbally lie to the customer days before a reservation; and then lie to Uhaul, that the customer has changed the location of the reservation. Uhaul you should be ashamed of your unbelievably horrible customer service, as well as enabling your lousy affiliates to perpetrate scamming your Uhaul customers. Uhaul If you have any integrity whatsoever you will refile this review under AAAWildcats in Ellensburg, and contact me to refund the entire cost of my rental.

But it's no surprise from a company like this to try and upcharge you and get more money out of you. Poor management. Ridiculous prices. I will be going with a different company next time I move.

No shackles or U bolts for sale to enable the safety chain connection. Ultimately she cancelled the reservation and made me sit thru it all again once I returned from auto parts store. Rented the same equipment from other locations with same truck with no issue.

john C.Overall, my experience was very good and seamless. The young lady who checked us in was professional and efficient. After answering a few questions, we were on our way. The van could have been a bit cleaner, but hey, it was much better than my own vehicle! The young man who accepted the vehicle the next day had a very relaxed manner and greeted me with a smile. Always a good touch. Our receipt was in the inbox in no time. Thanks and compliments to the U-Haul team at 20024 INTERNATIONAL BLVD, SEATAC, WA 98188. It is not an easy job, but they performed great!
Arnold K.Rude, Rude Rude and Rude! I felt as if I was being managed and not given appropriate customer service from the time I walked into this U-Haul location in Seattle, Washington. There was a great deal of clutter on the floor of the store. I attempted to navigate around it and avoid the representative who was lifting a heavy load. While trying to find the front desk, I was tersely redirected to go along a different route. Once the rep had put down the load. She proceeded to the front desk with no smile and no interest in assisting me. I informed her I was scheduled for a moving van this particular morning and provided her with the necessary information and government ID with a photo. At that point she began to question the address on my DL and the address I used for the online rental. I informed her I was moving to a new state, hence needing the moving van. I booked the online rental to return the moving van the same day and to the same location. The rep then picked up her personal mobile and informed me she had to take a same day photo of me as part of my U-Haul driver's contract. I questioned this having used U-Haul in the past. A government photo ID was always appropriate. She condescendingly informed me, U-Haul had implemented this one year ago. I did not agree with this but complied because it was getting late in the day. I had to get my things moved out of storage and take everything to the Alaska Airlines Cargo Business to have my possessions flown out the same day. I also had a flight booked that evening for myself to return to Alaska. I completed the same day photo and signed the agreement papers. The rep showed me a key with numbers on it. Then said the truck was in a plotted location in the back. I spent 10 minutes searching for the van. I reluctantly returned to the store for assistance. Again, the representative acted as if I was bothering her and came outside to indicate the van was located at the far end of the back lot. When I did discover the van, it was parked in the far rear, behind the larger U-Haul moving trucks. The plotted letters and numbers on the ground, she indicated to, are faded. Now, I was pressed for time since it took a better part of an hour at the U-Haul store including checking out the van. I was deeply concerned that if I didn't return the van at the appointment time the representative would forward my information to the local police. Later in the day, upon returning the moving van on time, I pulled into the returns section ahead of another moving truck. I stepped out of the van, leaving the key in the ignition. The van was alarming loudly because the key was in the ignition. I gathered the remainder of my possessions and closed the door to quiet the alarm. The second truck driver exited his truck and proceeded to walk over to the rep who I dealt with that morning and another U-Haul rep. Both reps entered into a conversation with the second driver and ignored me. After a few moments of witnessing both reps had no intentions of assisting me to get the van checked in, I interrupt the trio informing them I had a flight to catch. That is when the second rep began to verbally attack and interrogate me as to where the keys were to the van. I sternly informed him the keys were in the van and walked away disgusted with the whole ordeal. Hard working individuals such as myself, will be more consciencious in how best to use our funds and stop blithely giving our money to business who in turn for our patronage treat us with such disrespect and loathing. It's time to start bankrupting businesses who hire reps lacking in customer service skills. U-Haul, take a few lessons from your neighboring business such as the Red Lion Hotel, Alaska Airlines and Enterprise Car Rentals, who all did a phenomenal job of assisting me in relocating to a new state. U-Haul, your business is an eye soar in the realm of customer service and your business is in grave need of excavation of the people working in your organization. U-Haul, how dare you criminalize a person(s) try to move from one state to another. Moving in itself is a stressful event without the added pressure of being threatened if one doesn't return U-Haul's equipment on time. It does not state on U-Haul's website or in the literature that a same day photo taken with a U-Haul representative's personal mobile phone is a requirement to renting equipment from U-Haul. Both of the U-Haul representatives I dealt with that day were despicable in their actions. I caution patrons to no longer use this business because of the irreverent consistency of poor customer service. Just FYI, when my possessions did arrive in Alaska, I rented a F-150 from Enterprise Car Rentals to pick up my possessions from Alaska Cargo Airlines to bring them to my new home. I will never, ever use U-Haul again.

Becky M.The gentleman opening up at 7am really could use a 2nd employee to help him with managing the counter while the other person handles moving the trucks around the lot to prevent them from being stolen overnight. I spent much more time getting checked in and driving away than I anticipated. The 2,700 mile cross-country journey from Seattle to Atlanta was made in a filthy 15ft truck with car carrier which didnt even have cruise control or electric door locks and windows, On the positive side, it did have bluetooth and several USB outlets which was nice to have. Just dont understand why it would not have cruise control nor basics like electric windows and door locks as I was driving by myself and had no way to open the passenger side door unless I got out of the truck. And what is up with the filthy truck that I had to clean, vacuum and sanitize! I should have gone with Penske again as their trucks are newer and nicer.

PALWINDER S.I returned the trailer the same day to the SeaTac store. Then after I already returned it, for 2 days I received calls asking when I was planning on returning the trailer. My reservation was finally closed out on Sunday. I reported the accident I had in Tacoma and let the hem know I couldn't get through to anyone to make an official report, but the agent basically told me she couldn't do anything and I had to call.
Sherri M.Got flack from the woman in charge regarding where I parked the truck, wanted me to drive through the lot and park the truck in a particular spot, said I entered the property through a one-way driveway. Mind you, this location is on a busy one way street without adequate signage. Would never recommend or choose this drop off location again even though it's only two blocks from the Angle Lake light rail station which is why I chose it in the first place. Last thing a customer wants after a 1400 mile move and unloading a full 15' Uhaul truck is mouth from a Uhaul customer representative. Not really into customer dis-service.

Donneil W.I find it hard to believe that going 21 miles would result in 6 gallon of gas to be put in the truck. I picked it up under 7/8th and brought it back above 3/4. I was also told that the truck would be $40 plus the mileage, gas and insurance. When I arrived I was charge two $40 fees and was told that one was just an authorization charge and would come back to me to be told that the the rental fee and rate were different. Overall I paid for 30miles along with everything else and ended up being charged additional for going less than I quoted. I don't understand how and the clerk was so slow. He asked me to drop the key off and he would send me a receipt when he could. And when I got it I was surprised.

Then, the manager was going to charge us the first months rent in which I told her we would be getting one month free because that's what it reservation was supposed to include. Customer service even told my husband that this location has a unit available and the first month would be free. She then tells me, "I don't participate in that. Because I'm so small here, I don't participate in that." I went back to the car to tell my husband who was watching our 5 month old who was sleeping. He goes in to talk to her and began to tell her that we were told we would get one month free of storage and that her sign in the front even says one month free rent. The manager says that she has to put that on her sign which is FALSE ADVERTISING! Then the manager finally asked if we had a certificate. My husband grabs the certificate from the car and then the manager says we can get one month free. It is my fault I wasn't prepared with the certificate but also the manager could've asked me and I would've remembered and got it myself. Horrible experience.
