We are carrying a heavy load and do not have extensive experience driving such trucks - this is the point of rental, you rent one because you don't need one on a daily basis. U-Haul, please invest in good tires for your customers.

martial fournierI lost the truck key . went to the rental location ask for a spare key they didn't have one ask for the phone number for road side assistance they told me to scan the code it didn't work with my phone nobody knew the phone number. finally I got a operator she told me she had to find a locksmith that she call me back in a hour , it took 2 hrs when I got a call back she told me it will take a hour for a service man to come and that it going to cost me $350 for a lousy service very body at UHAUL were lost as this never happens (I rent a truck 5 or more times a month ) I applied for business account never got one, left messages no body call back great service?

Sirine Ben tourkiaThe Truck we took had three big major issues that were completely outrageous. For starters, the star plug didnt work, we after discovered that the tail gate couldn't be pull out more than a few inches, and to end on the best note. The side mirror on the driver side kept sliding off while on the road, completely dangerous you had to adjust it by hand. Uhaul you should be ashamed of the state your trucks are in! All I know is that nobody i know is going to be recommending Uhaul for anything ever again. Friendly staff but very inefficient.

Maninder SinghThe truck was very dirty, covered with snow. I just could not read the license. I had to clean it myself. The young man in the office did not come with me to verify the truck. He let me picking it up alone. The inside of the truck was very dirty too. The level of gaz was not full. I gave it back with almost a quarter of gaz more. No reimbursement !!?? It should be full and the client gives it back full. This way we do not loose money. Since it was from one city to an other, it is not possible to fill it just for what we use. And when mentioned to the staff, the answer is not friendly and send us to head office. Very poor client service and it is a way to rob the client. Abuse of power. Very desapointing. And what is the use of this review ??? If nothing is corrected with me after ??
Muriel BittarI got stuck in a small amount of snow on a slippery surface while parking. It took me about an hour and much struggle to get out. The tires on the 10' truck are not correct for the winters here. You need studded snow on this type of vehicle.

The aop was not responding and once we were able ti get in and answee all the questions and submitted all the pictures required we kept getting a message that said to wait. We waited for over 30 minutes and never recieved a message saying the process was finalized or not... the app needs to be fixed pleaseeeee!
Irma RiverosThe truck I rented did not have winter tires on as required by the law in Quebec. I tried to warn the employees at the rental location and even asked to fill out a dispute file for nothing in the end. I’m scared U-Haul does not care for the safety of its clients.

Very poor maintenance of the parking lot, It took 45 minutes to get the reserved truck out of the snow!!! I had to ask for help from the employee who kindly came to help me, but it's not his job and I have 7 movers waiting for me all this time. waste of time and money!!!

I should have brought this to the attention of one of the staff but after a few key turns it did end up working so I didn't bother. But this caused bigger problems later in the day once the truck was fully loaded and the light to service the battery came on.

Changement de dernière minute de location, de localisation, 8 appels plus tard et des heures perdues, j’ai finalement un camion plus grand ( donc plus d’essence à payer) et quand je le retourne, le point de chute a été dévalisé, les indications de retour sont chaotiques, on me charge 4 $ pour un milles que je n’ai pas fait ( photo à l’appui) c’est l’équipe qui a dû déplacer le véhicule. Dernière fois que je me fais prendre par u haul, pire service à la clientèle

It become very hard to move your stuff. There was another junkee next to my storage who always blocked my way, and for that reason i had to change my storage to another level. On m'a proposé un espace similaire, mais plus cher. J'avais pourtant ma facture de la réservation, mais le préposé a refusé d'honorer le prix de l'unité que j'avais réservé. Il s'agit de publicité trompeuse. N'utilisez pas le service de réservation par internet. Assurez-vous de voir le casier avant de le louer, car il font du surbooking, vous vous retrouvez coincé et devez accepter de payer plus cher pour avoir une supposée bonification de l'espace de rangement.

Then they wanted to charge me extra and said it’s because their prices changed and then when i showed them the reservation I made online they made me do the process on my phone instead. It was a waste of time. Location is dirty and not well maintained. An outhouse is cleaner than their bathrooms.

I was forced to take a bigger unit after making a reservation online which has not been respected by the employees and blamed the system when I had my proof. Ended up costing me way more on the long run. I could not change for a smaller unit later because it would be time consuming and i had heavy stuff. At least if there was a price adjustments offered for all those months but no, many increases of course.. if I ever need a storage again I will not go back there nor recommend to anyone.

I didn't live in Montréal which made it difficult to resolve as I would call there wasn't English staff available who could fully understand me. Move out was very smooth and it's a great location as it's near a metro station.

The wall showed the signs that there was water damage in the past. For me there was no issue but if I wanted to rent longer with more belongings to store, I wouldn't be comfortable with that unit. On a donc du payé plus cher pour un espace plus grand. Votre compagnie est très décevante. Je ne la recommanderais pas à personne. D’ailleurs, on a aussi eu des problèmes pour la location du camion. Sans nous prévenir, ils nous ont changé le lieu où il fallait récupérer le camion et le nouveau était à 1h15 de distance. La compagnie n’a rien fait pour nous dédommager dans les 2 cas. C’était la pire expérience de déménagement.

When trying to reach the location, i kept getting transferred to the central. The people I spoke to (3 people at 3 different times) could not reach the Cremazie location either. No one at the location was logged onto the chat even though it was during hours of operation. It took me over 2.5 hours of calling and waiting to finally be able to upload my ID which was already on file (the system wouldn’t recognize it) and process payment. I received no help from anyone. Then when I got to the location, a padlock was in the locker I had rented. I had to wait in line in order to get someone to give me access to my new unit. (I was transferring from a large unit to a smaller unit. I’ve been a customer at this location for 13 months.) Not to mention I was provided with the managers email address in order to request help and he never responded to my email. Overall, below average service. It’s disappointing.
Tania Minicucci | Online Move InI booked a 10' x 10' storage unit in advance. When I came to the facility on the moving day I was told that the unit I booked is not available and I can only get a smaller one (5' x 5 or 5' x 8'). I chose a 5' x 8' one, finalized the deal and went to check the unit to find out that it has a massive concrete pillar right in the centre (it's part of the building that just happened to be inside the unit that I was given). The staff were friendly, helpful and professional, but I would not recommend anyone using U-Haul storage services because of poor reliability. Everything could have been handled in advance by a simple phone call.

De plus, nous avons parlé à un employé qui ne nous a pas vraiment accompagner dès le début, info de base mais comme elle savait que c’était notre première visite, elle aurait dû nous dire que l’on devrait passer au bureau récupérer un cadenas puisqu’une fois arrivée au locker c’était barré, pas de service avec lintercom pour joindre un employé, j’ai dû retourner au bureau à l’entrée, pas d’employé dans le bureau d’entrée, bref vraiment pas efficace et adéquat. Déception pour un premier contact.

Granted its busy during peak times of the month there is still a level of customer service required when people are spending a lot of money with your company, even if they aren't. In a time when money is tight for most people and they are spending less, I would imagine that customer retention is high on the priority list for most if not all companies. I will not be renting trucks with U-haul any longer nor storing anything in their facilities.There are many companies that would be happy to have the business. By the way this is my fourth rental this year, one of them being for a cross provincial move. I have been left with a bad taste from my experiences at this point and will be sharing my experiences with friends, family and public. This review will also be copy and pasted to various U-haul outlets in particular the storage facility, and also google.
