Our services include office and household moving. We offer packing, loading and unloading of box trucks, U boxes, relocating or repositioning furniture or appliances. We also move specialty items like pianos, gun safes, pool tables and very heavy items.   • Two men were respectful. They broke our loveseat during the move, and several things were either broken or scratched up during the move. One of them was learning how to use the straps which took a lot of time.The piece that was broken cannot simply be repurchased or repaired. It was the metal connection that holds the back and bottom of the loveseat together. Our loveseat can no longer be held together. They used our moving straps, plastic wrap, moving blankets, and even took out our personal blankets to use around furniture.When we unloaded the truck, we discovered additional damaged items. The side of a wooden dresser was scraped off. The door of a cabinet was ripped off, dented, and paint scraped off. These damages were beyond what could have occurred during transit and were clearly caused as they moved the furniture into the truck. One of the movers was a new employee as he was actively being taught how to use moving straps for the furniture, slowing down the process.

    Thanks for your feedback. We are sad to hear that your expectations were not met however Doers Move povides experienced movers for every booking request. We also understand that some factors are beyond our control which is why we carry the safeload insurance feature for customers to address damages if they occur. Based on specific details about your move we advise that in the future you 1. Rent moving blankets which are designed for moving, we understand that the blankets you provided were not moving blankets and were inadequate, too thin and too small 2. Rent a small truck if you have a small load. These two suggestions could forestall complications during transit as it appears that the damages you claim happened in transit. We have photo evidence of how the truck was packed and at this point we think that someone altered the cargo arrangement after our movers left considering that your husband took over securing the straps at the end of the loading process.
