Texted at the last moment a few minutes before arrival time --he was set to arrive at 10:30 and I got his first text at 10:12 to tell me that he did not have a crew that would come to work. He was "scrambling" to find some other workers. They were to move my daughter with special needs out of her community home. I do not know why they could not come as no reason was given. The moving help website allowed me to book this company for loading/unloading and the driving to the location. I called Affordable movers and they said that they do not provide driving outside the city of Portland. Affordable movers needs to update or double check what they offer in the system. I am very displeased that I was allowed to book this only to find out this service is not provided.

Affordable movers were scheduled for Saturday 10/18 (I booked this weeks in advance). On Wednesday evening 10/15, Gary called to inform me he couldn't do it Saturday and could he do it Friday night and even though I was in the middle of driving from NY to OR, I changed all my hotel bookings and sped up my trip to accommodate him. I arrived Friday 10/17 at 4pm. I had called Gary and left messages of my progress but received no return phone calls til around 7pm to say he was sick and couldn't show and he MIGHT be able to do it Sunday. I am 3000 miles away from home with one suitcase, a dog, an apartment and no belongings so I found another mover. The end. I apologize for the long explanation (I am a bit stressed out over this).
