Our local helpers have been helping people move since 2002.
Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
The movers were a male and female pair that showed up about 15 minutes early and were ready to work. They worked efficiently and had the truck unloaded in the hour so we were able to let them go early. They did have a young child waiting in their minivan the entire time; it didn't impact our job but I could see there being a potential for a major issue with that arrangement. When asked, they didn't know the name of their business so perhaps they aren't the usual crew.
The communication between us was less than I expected. However, the company DID complete the job, strictly speaking, and was orderly in doing it. (Since the job was less than 2 hrs, the excess is there for tip.)
Great help. Our truck delivery driver was delayed by more than 2 hours and they had other scheduled moves. They quickly worked it out amongst there team to ensure all jobs got done. Thank you.
