Allen Sports’ Premier Hitch Mounted 2-bike carrier mounts quickly and easily.The arms snap into place right out of the box. Allen’s new dual-compound cradle system securely holds your bicycles in place and the rack’s large padded Spine Shield protects your bicycles as well. In addition to the easy folding arms on this rack, the new innovative internal tilt-away release makes it a snap to access your vehicle’s rear lift gate. The powder-coated rack installs in just minutes with a no-wobble bolt and an integrated locking loop offers a place to secure your bikes.

  • Carrying capacity: 2 bikes
  • Hitch insert fits either 1-1/4” or 2” receiver hitches
  • Carry arm spacing accommodates a wide range of frame sizes and designs

Easy to assemble. Nice product for the price. Nice feature is that the horizontal bars that hold the bikes can be lowered when not in use. Takes up less walking space in garage. Only issue I have is my SUV has these park assist cameras and the rack gets into their view and thus when I am in reverse it beeps constantly. I may have adjust the sensitivity on the rear cameras.

The package arrived on time. However the package was damaged on the side with part of the bike rack exposed. Because of this exposure a plastic piece that serves to tilt the rack away from the vehicle was broken. Reported this to Allen and they are sending a new stem to replace. The package also was missing filler plates to reduce any wobble from excess space in the hitch.

I'm looking for a bike rack that can haul 2 electric bikes with total weight of 120lbs. Can this bike rack handle that weight for long distances?

Hi, Pete! No, the Allen Sports Premier 2 bike rack can only hold a total of 70 pounds. For 2 e-bikes, we recommend the Thule EasyFold 2 Bike Rack, which is designed to carry 2 e-bikes of that size. I hope that is helpful!
