Rating:

Arrived quickly. Easy to install. Great instructions from Curt. This hitch is amazing. We have a 17ft Palomino Ultralight trailer on a 2012 Volvo XC60. My ride height was affected badly by the tongue weight of the trailer. With this new hitch installed, my ride height has been restored and the trailer sits almost perfectly level. Best investment for trailer hauling.

can I pull any car ?

–hector 11/3/2014 10:41:56 PM

"The CMF17002 is a weight distribution system designed for towing trailers weighing up to 10,000 lbs. Pulling or towing a vehicle would require either an auto transport trailer, a two wheel tow dolly, or a tow bar system. Please visit your local U-Haul center for more information on a towing system that will work best for you."

What is proper adjustment fiction sway bars

–James 6/20/2014 1:49:51 PM

"A friction sway control is pre-set at the factory with a tension suitable for most light trailers. To get maximum benefits from a friction sway control, a series of tests should be taken with the loaded trailer. During the first road test, try the sway control at the factory preset tension. On subsequent trips, increase or decrease tension by turning the adjustment bolt in 1/4 turn increments until the desired control is achieved. When towing during slippery conditions such as wet, icy or snow covered roads or on loose gravel, turn the on/off handle counterclockwise until all tension is removed from the unit. Failure to do so could prevent tow vehicle and trailer from turning properly."
