we have a 6cyl 3.2 v6 2009 dodge journey with a hitch that takes a vertical extension would you vertical hitches work on my vehicle i am pretty sure from what i seen and read they work just fine can you confirm please it is an suv
Research indicates part 45013 will fit on your vehicles vertical hitch.
Hi guys, my partner has a 2014 Mazda CX-5 with a vertical hitch. Can you tell me if part number 45013 will fit it. If so and we add a adjustable hitch to raise the towbar height to tow my off road camper trailer. Would this set up decrease the load rating of the vehicle
Our hitch pro writes: ... "The 45013 vertical shank is 2" square and 3-1/2" in length. The center of the Pin hole to the top of the vertical shank measures 1-1/8". The receiver tube is 2" square on the inside and 8" in length. The 45013 is rated for 5,000 GTW and 500 TW. Your hitch system is only as strong as its lowest-rated component. to find your hitch system rating, compare ratings of your hitch, hitch ball and ball mount. Your hitch system rating is the lowest among those parts. The use of an adapter that extends the trailer weight away from the receiver hitch can significantly reduce its GTW and TW weight rating."
I have a vw pass art with a vw supplied tow par. Will vertical receiver adapter fit, ie holes a-line? Thanks.
Our hitch pro writes: The 2 inch vertical receiver adapter 45013, will not fit into the Volkswagen, factory installed, vertical receiver hitch. For more vehicle specific hitch and accessory options, please visit your local U-Haul Hitch Super Center.

I need to remove the receiver from my car because I am selling the car. Can I do it myself? Are there instructions?
