Is it a Air Fryer? Do it has its own propane tank ? Or do you still need a propane tank? Can you use it to fry other foods, like a fish fry? Does it use any type of cooking oil at all? Not enough description?
It cooks with infra red technologies. It does not come with a propane tank which you will need. However, we sell those very reasonably. It is recommended for Turkey, Chicken, Beef, Pork. There is no cooking oil involved. Thank you for your question.
Can it make French fries
Hi, Charlie! We do not recommend using this fryer for anything but roasts, chicken, and turkey. Thank you!
Can you cook anything with this like you do on a grill or is this just for birds????
You can cook anything that will fit!
The cooking guide states that all sorts of meats and even veggies can be cooked in the Big Easy®!
Has anyone at U-Haul actually used this and can vouch for it's effectiveness?
Absolutely Chris! I found a coworker who could vouch for the oil-less fryer, he had the following to say:
Yes, I own one. I think it is great! It takes less time to cook a turkey than the oven, but about 1/2 more time than an oil fryer. Unlike an oil fryer, you are able to add your butter and seasonings. I have also used it for pot roasting a whole chicken and ham!

Our Propane expert here at Uhaul notes the following: The 10101480 measures approximately: 21.1" W x 20.7" D x 24.5" H and weighs approximately: 37 lb. .... Thank you.

Are these able to be used indoors/ garages?
Our propane program manager writes: "While I'm sure some individuals do use this product indoors, we would recommend that you do not since propane cylinder manufactures and most local fire codes prohibit using or storing propane cylinders indoors as a safety precaution."

Cook times will vary depending on outdoor weather conditions, but generally you can expect 10 min per pound for turkey, 15 min per pound for chicken, and 30 minutes per pound for pork or beef roasts. Check the cooking guide provided, on this web page, for more info.
