Customer Reviews Steel Propane Tank 4.25 lbs

Mitchell N.

I wish I knew that the nice graphic on the propane tank, as seen in the web site, is just a removable piece of cardboard. I thought that is printed on the tank itself.

Please compare how many of those 16 oz bottles of propane would fit in to a 4.25 lb tank? Same for the 11 lb tank? I don't like using those 16 oz bottles.

"Without knowing the weight full and the Tare weight of each cylinder, my best guess at this answer would be: A 4.25lb tank has roughly 1 gallon of propane in it. A 11lb tank has roughly 2.5 gallons of propane in it. A 16 ounce cylinder has roughly .70 gallons in it. So a 4.25lb tank equals 1.3 16oz cylinders and a 11lb tank would equal close to 3 6oz cylinders."

Would it work on the outdoor fire pit heater table

–Nelly Valles 2/21/2015 11:59:34 AM

Nelly, are you talking about our Propane Fire Ring? If so then yes, the 4.25 Steele Propane Tank would work just fine.

If you are inquiring about another outdoor fire pit you have at home then I am unable to answer your question without knowing the exact details of that fire pit. I can say if your fire pit has previously worked with a standard propane tank, then this tank would work just the same. Thank you.
