Some policies will cover your belongings as you move!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whenever you stop, check to ensure all your doors are locked! Ensure the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/moving-supplies\/locks?utm_campaign=uhaulsm&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=movingsupplies&amp;utm_content=20230906-howtokeepyour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">padlock<\/a> is on the back truck door as well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When parking at a restaurant, ensure all your doors are locked and, if possible, park where you can keep your eye while eating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When parking your vehicle at a hotel, you should always try to park your truck or trailer close to the entry doors and well-lit area (under a light post).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a well-lit area is unavailable, park your rental equipment close to a building or wall. This can limit the number of accessible entry points into your vehicle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you feel it is necessary, you might want to park your vehicle in front of your moving truck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lastly, always purchase <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/DamageCoverage\/?utm_campaign=uhaulsm&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=damagecoverage&amp;utm_content=20230906-howtokeepyour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">insurance<\/a> on your moving truck before you leave the rental center.
