In my story of moving all across the country as a college student for internships and other job opportunities, one city and one of my living places in particular stands out — my furnished place in Washington, DC. The words “pre-furnished” can be the two best words ever put on a real estate ad if you’re looking to live somewhere short term or just don’t have the nicest furniture (in my case it was both). For me, I could only fit a limited amount of stuff in my U-Box Container<\/a>  so pre-furnished was the way to go.<\/p>\n

But what exactly does furnished mean? And what exactly does that mean you need to bring? Furnished can mean many different things to many different people, so it’s best to check with the landlord or property manager to find out exactly what’s in the place. We’ve compiled a list of everything else you need to bring when moving into a furnished place!<\/p>\n

More than likely you’ll have a mattress and  box spring, a desk of some sort and a dresser. A nightstand if you’re lucky! Be sure not to forget these items..<\/p>\n
