Whether you’re a minimalist or a hoarder, sometimes you just run out of room. No matter how much we organize, some people just always seem to need more space. A common area that some people tend to overlook is under the bed. It doesn’t have to be just a place where lost socks go and dust bunnies gather, this is a great place for storage!<\/p>\n

Here are some ways to utilize the space under your bed:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many people build drawers and some people use bins and baskets. This can be a simple DIY project that requires some time but it’ll help you organize better. Check out some of the ideas below.<\/p>\n

For those who are looking for a simpler and cheaper DIY idea for under the bed storage, grab a box<\/a>, some tape and a box cutter. This project is perfect for college students and those living in a temporary place or just someone who is on a budget!<\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Tape<\/a> both ends of your box.<\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/strong> Use a boxcutter and cut the box in half horizontally. These halves will serve as your “drawers”.<\/p>\n

Step 3<\/strong>(optional):<\/strong> Place a cell kit<\/a> inside the box to create separate compartments to store small items such as socks, scarves and toys.<\/p>\n

Step 4: <\/strong>To make handles, make two holes a couple inches apart from each other on the side of each half of the box. Take ribbon or twine<\/a>, poke them through the holes and tie two thick knots on each end.<\/p>\n

TIP:<\/strong> If you roll your clothes and put it into the separate compartments of the cell kit, it creates more room in your closet and cabinets!<\/p>\n
