It’s that wonderful time of the year when you spread your wings and fly out from your hometown to a big university that you will now call home. You’re on your way to becoming a Terrier! Follow\u00a0these few tips and moving to Boston University<\/a> will be a breeze.<\/p>\n

Moving in Like a Pro\"Moving<\/h3>\n

First-year students (and their parents\/family members) tend to get a little frazzled on move-in day. As long as you\u2019re prepared with a game plan,\u00a0<\/span>moving truck<\/a>\u00a0and helpers, then you won\u2019t break too much of a sweat. Or if you want to make your life even easier you can ship your stuff to the dorms ahead of time with Collegeboxes<\/a>.\u00a0The\u00a0<\/a><\/span>nearest U-Haul location<\/a>\u00a0to campus is just a few minutes away<\/span>. Housing on Campus<\/h3>\n

BU has a variety of co-ed\u00a0residence halls<\/a> for students\u00a0to choose from including “<\/span>dormitory-style, apartment-style, large residences, and small brownstones”. After freshmen have completed the Housing Interests Survey, the Assignments Area will proceed to match the students to the most ideal hall.\u00a0In other words, don’t be afraid that you won’t be able to make friends because BU is already looking out for you by matching you with roommates who share similar interests!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Regardless of the time of the year, Boston always has something going on! You and your new roomies will find a plethora of historical sites to visit through the aged city of Boston, from the Freedom Trail to the Paul Revere House. If you are more of the sporty type you can catch a game at Fenway Park or watch the Celtics play in the TD Garden.<\/span><\/p>\n
