One of my favorite parts of football season is the accompanying tailgate parties.&nbsp;The atmosphere, the people, the food, everything! Normally my friends and I will grill some burgers, but what if we try something different?<\/p>\n<h3>Street Tacos Recipe<\/h3>\n<p>The idea of street tacos came from the streets of Mexico.&nbsp;People&nbsp;wanted to quickly make and sell tacos from a small cart equipped with only a grill. Because the intention was to cook&nbsp;outside, the recipe remained simple. So simple we can now cook them from our tailgate!<\/p>\n<p>The following recipe comes from my mother who grew up in Mexico. As she doesn&#8217;t measure when cooking, I&#8217;ve added&nbsp;approximations to some, if not add to taste.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: left\">Ingredients For Marinade<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Beef&nbsp;(About 3 lbs)<\/li>\n<li>Orange juice (Half gallon)<\/li>\n<li>Salt (To taste)<\/li>\n<li>Pepper (To taste)<\/li>\n<li>1 Light beer (This one is optional.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Start by seasoning the meat with salt and pepper then let the meat soak in the orange juice and beer&nbsp;for about 30 minutes. If you want to skip this step, you can buy the meat at a Mexican butcher shop, where they will likely have the option to add their marinade. &nbsp;After the 30 minutes have gone by, you can throw the meat on the grill and cook to your liking. Once it&#8217;s done chop it up into strips and set it aside.<\/p>\n<h5>&nbsp;Toppings<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Tailgating-With-Street-Tacos.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-23663\" src=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Tailgating-With-Street-Tacos.jpg\" alt=\"Tailgating With Street Tacos\" width=\"349\" height=\"286\"><\/a>The meat, however, &nbsp;is only half of the tacos. Now you need your tortillas and toppings. &nbsp;I recommend: small corn tortillas, guacamole, salsa, cucumbers, lime, cabbage and red onion. You can also&nbsp;put some green onions on a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/MovingSupplies\/Propane-Grilling\/Grilling-Tailgating-accessories\/Deluxe-non-stick-grilling-basket?id=4487&amp;utm_campaign=uhaulsm&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=movingsupplies&amp;utm_content=21040915-tailgatingwithstreettacos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> grill basket<\/a> and eat them on the side if you want the full experience.<\/p>\n<p>Now that you have your tacos ready you can relax and have some fun. Remember to&nbsp;represent your team as this is a tailgate.
