Life happens; it’s inevitable. Sometimes events or our scheduled plans need to be canceled or rescheduled. Moving is one of life’s bigger events, and sometimes, rearrangements have to be made and may cause a scheduled move to get canceled. So, if you’re reading this, life must have happened, and you need to modify or cancel a reservation. Where or who do you call? Don’t worry; here are the steps you can take in a situation like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps to Modify or Cancel Your Reservation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So, you’ve reserved your moving equipment<\/a> and are ready to go. Suddenly you get news that the move is no longer happening. Here’s what you need to do to cancel or modify your reservation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ensure your moving truck<\/a>, trailer<\/a>, or portable storage container<\/a> reservation is handy. Be sure to have stored it in a place you can easily remember; this can be on our app, an email confirmation or a screenshot of your order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are different ways you can modify or cancel your reservation. Here are the options available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go into our app, sign in, and see your reservation from your account. A button will direct you to modify or cancel your truck, trailer or U-Box container.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Log into your U-Haul account online<\/a> and do the same step as the mobile option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Call your local U-Haul representative or at your pick-up location<\/a> and tell them you need to modify or cancel your reservation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    We recommend canceling at least 24 hours prior, as this will help you avoid any penalties. If you find yourself in a situation where cancellation is necessary, you can always resort to visiting or contacting your nearby U-Haul center<\/a> and talking to one of their representatives. Simply let them know you need to cancel a reservation, and they will gladly assist you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
