Add a little extra spice this season by trying this DIY cardboard craft.<\/p>\n<p>Materials needed for this craft:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/MovingSupplies\/Rope-tie-downs\/Tie-Down-Sisal-Rope?utm_campaign=uhaulsm&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=movingsupplies&amp;utm_content=20141014-diycardboardcraftfor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rope<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Cardboard Box<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/MovingSupplies\/Moving-lifting-tools\/Pocket-Cutter-Safety-Box-Cutter?id=8420&amp;utm_campaign=uhaulsm&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=movingsupplies&amp;utm_content=20141014-diycardboardcraftfor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Box Cutter<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Leaves or any other Fall decor you&#8217;d like to use<\/li>\n<li>Hot Glue and Glue Gun<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Step 1:<\/h3>\n<p>Reuse an old cardboard box from moving day and use the box cutter to cut out whatever message you want the letters to spell. Feel free to make the letters as thick or tall as you want.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 2:<\/h3>\n<p>Once you have cut out the letters, start cutting pieces of rope&nbsp;to glue onto your letters.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/letters.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-24433\" src=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/letters-1024x341.jpg\" alt=\"diy cardboard crafts\" width=\"1024\" height=\"341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/letters-1024x341.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/letters-300x100.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Step 3:<\/h3>\n<p>Glue on the pieces of rope&nbsp;using the hot glue gun. In this specific example, the twine was glued diagonally onto the letters. Glue on the leaves as well. We chose to decorate every other letter with rope&nbsp;to make it more fun.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/leaves.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-24437\" src=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/leaves-1024x461.jpg\" alt=\"DIY cardboard craft\" width=\"1024\" height=\"461\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Step 4:<\/h3>\n<p>Trim off the excess leaf material from the letters to give the letters shape. Also&nbsp;cut off&nbsp;any rope&nbsp;that might be hanging off the edges.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 5:<\/h3>\n<p>Feel free to hang the letters on twine or tape them onto your wall. Decorate around your new fall craft&nbsp;with a big pumpkin!
