When I think of things that go together, I think of peanut butter and jelly. Batman and Robin. Packing and music. Seriously. Packing boxes is much more fun when you have a good playlist to keep you motivated. Though there are many songs that are (in their own way) related to moving, here are my top 5 songs for packing boxes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJump Around\u201d by House of Pain.<\/strong> Moving is serious business, which is why you need to start the process with a jam guaranteed to get you on your feet. From the first few lines, this song puts you in the mood to throw things in boxes with authority. \u201cPack it up! Pack it in! Let me begin. I came to win. Battle me? That’s a sin.\u201d Watch out! You’re a lean, mean box-packing machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Help!<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHelp!\u201d by the Beatles.<\/strong> Packing an entire house full of stuff you’ve accumulated over the years can be pretty overwhelming. It’s time to call in reinforcements with this classic tune. You need help, but like the song says, \u201cnot just anybody.\u201d You need the real deal. It may be your friends, family or even professional moving helpers<\/a>. When the packing starts, don’t be afraid to say, \u201cWon’t you pleeeeeease, please help me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI Like To Move It\u201d by Reel 2 Real.<\/strong> You’re just not human if you don’t \u201cmove it, move it\u201d when this song comes on. Sure, it’s a bit annoying when played on repeat by a toddler addicted to the movie \u201cMadagascar.\u201d But, when combined with packing boxes with friends or family around, it becomes a reason to bust out your funky dance moves and laugh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMove On Up\u201d by Curtis Mayfield. <\/strong>When this comes on, you might have to take a dance break. <\/span>This song, honestly played at any time, can change your mood for the better. With his inspirational words, “If you put your mind to it, you can surely do it,” you will feel unstoppable. Moving can drag; however, with some good soul music, you will be done in no time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Irreplaceable<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIrreplaceable\u201d by Beyonce.<\/strong> A playlist wouldn’t be complete without some Queen B. Whether you’re kicking out a cheating boyfriend who must not know about you or just packing up some boxes to take to your self-storage room<\/a>, belting out the lyrics to \u201cIrreplaceable\u201d is a given. Sing it with me, \u201cTo the left, to the left. Everything you own is in the box to the left!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonus track: \u201cEye of the Tiger\u201d by Survivor.<\/strong> There will be times when you want to give up. This song will help you get past those moments of weakness. If Rocky can do it, so can you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
