Let&#8217;s be honest, finding decent meals for <a href=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/2015\/08\/03\/collegefreshman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">college students<\/a>\u00a0is nearly impossible! If you&#8217;re like me and want to avoid your school cafeteria as much as possible, our easy meals for college students, such as this Protein-Packed Chex, are just what you&#8217;ve been looking for. Trust me &#8212; this is the perfect dorm room snack, requiring nothing but a microwave.<\/p>\n<p>Muddy Buddies are a classic sweet treat and are easy to make. For all of the gym aficionados out there, we modified the recipe a little bit to be health conscious and full of protein creating the Protein Packed Chex. Check out our recipe below!<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>20 oz bag of dark chocolate<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup of peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>4 cups of vanilla flavored Chex Cereal<\/li>\n<li>1 cup of vanilla protein powder<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp honey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter wp-image-31066\" src=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/PicMonkey-Collage.jpg\" alt=\"meals for college students chex\" width=\"816\" height=\"204\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/PicMonkey-Collage.jpg 2000w, https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/PicMonkey-Collage-300x75.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/PicMonkey-Collage-1024x256.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 816px) 100vw, 816px\" \/>How to Make:<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Combine the dark chocolate and peanut butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Dark chocolate is not only delicious, but it is also full of antioxidants to add some nutrition to your\u00a0snack. Peanut butter is also a great source of potassium, protein, and vitamin E so you don&#8217;t have to feel guilty about that perfect chocolate peanut butter combo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:\u00a0<\/strong>Microwave your bowl of dark chocolate and peanut butter. For the best results, microwave on 20 second intervals and stir until the mixture is fully melted. This usually takes about 1-2 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong>\u00a0Combine your Chex Cereal with the melted mixture of chocolate and peanut butter. I like to simply pour the Chex into the same large bowl I microwaved the mixture in. Chex is a rice based cereal so if you are trying to avoid gluten you can still enjoy this snack!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:\u00a0<\/strong>Stir the Chex Cereal and chocolate peanut butter mixture until everything is evenly distributed and the Chex appear as fully coated as possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong>\u00a0Pour into a sealable\u00a0container and toss with \u00a01 cup of vanilla protein powder.
