San Diego has a Mediterranean climate, which is characterized by its warmer, dry summers and its cooler, wet winters. Average temperatures range from about 57 \u00b0F in January to around 72 \u00b0F in August. The record high reached up to 111 \u00b0F and the lowest recorded temperature got down to 25 \u00b0F. With an exception of these peaks, the weather is generally pretty mild and comfortable.<\/p>\n

Neighborhoods<\/h4>\n

As a whole, San Diego has over 100 recognized neighborhoods maintained within 52 community planning areas. Rating some of the more popular neighborhoods based on cost, walkability, schools, and other such features, San Diego Magazine<\/a> has made picking the right place to live easy. If your primary focus is your children receiving a good education, your best options are most likely Bird Rock or Carmel Valley. If your goal is to save money on rent, look into somewhere in Otay Mesa.<\/p>\n

Activities<\/h4>\n

Whether you are a student<\/a> in the area temporarily or a full-time resident in San Diego permanently, there is always something to do. Visit the beach at La Jolla Cove to see some sea lions or walk through Sunset Cliffs. Take the family to Seaport Village for a day of light shopping and good eats in the sun. If you’ve ever contemplated sport fishing, this is the place to do it! San Diego is also known as The Sport Fishing Capital<\/a>! The PETCO Park Padres’s Stadium is a definite must-see for anyone visiting or local to the area. With nearly perfect year-round weather, there are endless options when it comes to activities.<\/p>\n
