In fact, some non-traditional grilling items gain a new smokey flavor with the addition of a grill. If you&#8217;re looking to bring you grilling skills to a new level and try something different this year, try making an all grilled Thanksgiving meal! Taking some of my classic <a href=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/2014\/11\/24\/thanksgiving-side-dishes-can-grill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thanksgiving favorites<\/a>, I converted my Thanksgiving dinner to&nbsp;an outdoor grilling masterpiece&nbsp;with some friends.<\/p>\n<h4>Grilled Turkey<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-32192 size-medium\" 1024w, https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/grilled-turkey2.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Slice turkey into thick steaks&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/2013\/11\/15\/grill-turkey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(or grill a whole turkey here)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Marinate with olive oil and a blend of seasonings (I used Trader Joe&#8217;s 21 Salute Seasoning)<\/li>\n<li>Set grill Medium to High<\/li>\n<li>Cook for about 10 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches around 160&nbsp;\u00b0F<\/li>\n<li>Top with your favorite gravy<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Grilled Potatoes<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-32189 size-medium\" halves to absorb the seasoning<\/li>\n<li>Toss potatoes into foil grilling pan (or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/MovingSupplies\/Grilling-Tailgating-Accessories\/Mr-Bar-B-Q-Grill-Flip-Basket\/?id=17811&amp;utm_campaign=uhaulsm&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=propane&amp;utm_content=20190812-allgrilledthanksgiving\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grilling basket<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Chop up green onions<\/li>\n<li>Toss green onion in the pan with potatoes<\/li>\n<li>Pour one stick of melted butter on top<\/li>\n<li>Top with seasoning (I used a Bacon and Chive Roasted Potato Mix)<\/li>\n<li>Grill on Low to Medium for about 45 minutes tossing with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/MovingSupplies\/Propane-Grilling\/Grilling-Tailgating-accessories\/Finger-Grip-Tongs-18-With-Wooden-Handle?utm_campaign=uhaulsm&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=movingsupplies&amp;utm_content=20151113-allgrilledthanksgiving\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tongs<\/a> as necessary<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left\">Grilled Mac and Cheese<a href=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/grilled-mac-and-cheese-e1447170436782.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-32193 size-medium\" mac and cheese (noodles should already be boiled) and put in foil grilling pan&nbsp;(or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhaul.com\/MovingSupplies\/Propane-Grilling\/Grilling-Tailgating-accessories\/Non-Stick-Fusion-Grilling-Topper?utm_campaign=uhaulsm&amp;utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=movingsupplies&amp;utm_content=20151113-allgrilledthanksgiving\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grilling topper<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle shredded Mexican cheese and\/or Parmesan on top for a change of flavor<\/li>\n<li>Grill on Low to Medium for about 10 minutes to melt cheese, re-heat mac and cheese and add smokey flavor<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Grilled Butternut Squash<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Cut half of a butternut squash into chunks<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-32199 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/IMG_3308-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"all grilled thanksgiving\" pan<\/li>\n<li>Pour one stick of melted butter on top<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle on chili powder<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle on nutmeg<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle on brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle on Cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle olive oil on top<\/li>\n<li>Grill Low to Medium for about an hour or until soft<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>Grilled Green Beans<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Toss green beans into foil <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-32211 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/grilled-green-beans-e1447171335606-300x225.jpg\" topper)<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle balsamic vinegar on top<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle olive oil on top<\/li>\n<li>Add almond slices<\/li>\n<li>Add craisins<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle on garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle on sea salt (I used sea salt with lemon)<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle on basil<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle on red pepper flakes<\/li>\n<li>Grill Low to Medium for about 20 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>With everything gaining a new smokey flavor and slightly different texture, you can enjoy all of your Thanksgiving favorites right off the grill and <a href=\"https:\/\/movinginsider.com\/2015\/10\/16\/5-tips-for-enjoying-your-backyard-in-autumn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">enjoy the fall weather outside<\/a>.
