The city is the home to the Broncos, Chipotle, famed breweries (plus the annual Great American Beer Festival), and more than 200 parks and 29 recreation centers. Whether you’re new to the city or are a seasoned resident, there is always an adventure to discover in Denver!<\/p>\n

Hop around local art districts<\/h3>\n

In the capital of Colorado, you’re bound to find artsy nooks peppered throughout the city, including multiple art museums and districts infused with music and art. Soak it all in by paying a visit to the River North Art District (RiNo<\/a>) or Denver’s Art District on Santa Fe.<\/p>\n

Enjoy the great outdoors<\/h3>\n

Because Denver is situated right by the Rocky Mountains, there is always<\/em> fun to be had outside. Great summer hiking mountains morph into world-renowned ski slopes during the winter months. Springtime offers perfect biking, camping, kayaking or picnicking weather. For a leisurely afternoon activity, pack up a bag with the grill (don’t forget propane<\/a>), some picnic snacks and a Frisbee to make the most of Denver’s breathtaking outdoors!<\/p>\n

Try some signature brews and foods<\/h3>\n

With the Coors and New Belgium breweries headquartered in Denver, along with restaurants like Smashburger and Noodles & Company, the dining scene is classic and all-American. Aside from these larger names, though, the city certainly knows its food and drinks. Apart from fresh food found at the many farmers’ markets there, you will discover independent restaurants such as Linger (a mortuary-turned-eatery), or Rioja, a Mediterranean-style place with excellent pastries. Something for everyone: shopping & sports<\/h3>\n

The Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos are definitely the most prominent teams in the state, so catch a game! The Rockies play at Coors Field, while the Broncos are at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High–so either game would be conveniently within Denver’s city limits. For residents scoping out the shopping scene<\/a>, head to the Cherry Creek Shopping District, Larimer Square, 16th Street Mall, Highlands Square or Antique Row.<\/p>\n

Get back to business<\/h3>\n

In 2015, the city ranked No. 1 in 2015 on Forbes‘<\/i> list of “Best Places for Business and Careers” and No. 11 on “Best Cities for Millenials in 2015.” It makes sense, then, that Denver’s economy is an inviting one for newcomers. Tech and energy industries like CenturyLink and Halliburton are based there, along with a multitude of other up-and-coming companies. It’s a young, vibrant city perfect for both work and play!<\/p>\n
