Weather<\/h3>\n

Residents of Chilliwack enjoy mild temperatures throughout the year, with very limited stretches of extreme weather. This type of climate is perfect for all of the agribusinesses in Chilliwack, which is mostly dairy, poultry, and greenhouse operations.\u00a0Average winter low temperatures range from .4-3\u2103 and summer highs are typically between 21-25\u2103. The average annual high is approximately 15.5\u2103.\u00a0Chilliwack also has some of the cleanest air in the world and there has been a debate over preserving its quality.<\/p>\n

Chilliwack is home to Canada Education Park, an 86-acre campus that plays host to several secondary education sites, such as the <\/span>University of the Fraser Valley<\/span><\/a> and the <\/span>Justice Institute of British Columbia<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Neighborhoods<\/h3>\n

Chilliwack is composed of several villages and communities. The urban epicenter of the city is downtown and split by either side of the <\/span>Trans-Canada Highway<\/span><\/a>. The city is surrounded by the Fraser River to the north and the U.S.-Canada border to the south.\u00a0<\/span>The Vedder Canal lies just west of the city and is essential to its farming and agricultural needs.<\/p>\n

Chilliwack is famous for its many outdoor recreational activities.
