Lying in the Nation\u2019s Capital, CUA is the only national Catholic university and is home to over 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Third-year students and Seniors have the option to live on or off-campus. There are several room options; traditional shared units, suites with multiple bed and bathrooms or apartments. The university provides housing assistance for students who choose to live off campus.\u00a0There are numerous dining options on campus, including a food court with choices such as Chick-fil-A, Subway and even a Starbucks!\u00a0Students can choose from one of eight meal plans to fit their needs, budget, and schedule.<\/p>\n<p>With numerous clubs on campus, students are certain to find a group of like-minded individuals who share their interests. Capitol Hill is a mere ten minutes away. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kennedy-center.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kennedy Center<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Smithsonian<\/a> are also nearby. Washington, D.C. is a city steeped in the magnificent architecture and is one of its most recognizable features.\u00a0Whether you desire a career in politics, media or law, you\u2019re never more than a stone\u2019s throw from all of these professions in D.C.<\/p>\n<p>For sports enthusiasts, sports play a big role in Washington D.C.\u2019s entertainment offerings. In the fall, you can watch the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redskins.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Redskins<\/a> battle it out in the NFC East (NFL), take in America\u2019s Pastime by catching a <a href=\"http:\/\/washington.nationals.mlb.com\/index.jsp?c_id=was\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Nationals <\/a>baseball game or chill out with the <a href=\"http:\/\/capitals.nhl.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Capitals<\/a> (NHL).<\/p>\n<h3>Getting Around<\/h3>\n<p>CUA lies in the Brookland neighborhood in northeast D.C. This neighborhood has been nicknamed \u201cLittle Rome\u201d for its Catholic and religious presence. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wmata.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority<\/a> (Metro) is D.C.\u2019s primary form of public transportation. It is accessible by Rail or via Bus with numerous stops throughout the city, including Brookland-CUA on Michigan Avenue.\u00a0This station also provides all-day parking, lockers and has bike and carsharing options.<\/p>\n<h3>Moving to CUA<\/h3>\n<p>With all that\u2019s going on in Washington, D.C. and at CUA, getting there and navigating could be a small feat.
