To make sure you and your employees are on the same page, check out the following tips from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfpa.org\/Public-Education\/By-topic\/Property-type-and-vehicles\/Food-truck-safety\">National Fire Protection Association<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All staff members should be familiar with the\nlayout of the truck and where the gas lines are located. <\/li><li>Make sure you are regularly checking the\nconnections and changing them when necessary. Staff should be taught how to\nperform leak tests on gas connections.<\/li><li>Make sure your staff is familiar with the smell\nof propane so they can properly inform the fire department if a leak were to\noccur. <\/li><li>You and your staff should be familiar with your\npropane tank and markings. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfpa.org\/News-and-Research\/Publications\/NFPA-Journal\/2015\/May-June-2015\/Features\/Food-Trucks\">National Fire Protection Association<\/a>, from 2007-2011, there was an average of 540 vehicle fires per year where propane was involved.
