Susan E | Overall ExperienceThis has turned out to be a comedy of errors! First, I was unable to complete an online rental agreement and unable to recover my $20 deposit fee. U-Haul states that Affordable Storage is not in their wheelhouse and they can't do anything. They tell me to go to the office.. I did. The "office" located at the site is empty...no furniture... empty. I see a sign telling me to call a number. I did. Nobody answered. Called again, nobody answered. Called a third time, somebody answered. Tried to obtain a small storage unit. Was asked for ID and insurance forms. While I agree with the principle, to much information to be given to a stranger on the phone. Decided to go elsewhere that did not involve so much drama. Within 10 minutes of hanging up, I had obtained a storage unit elsewhere with much less red tape, completely online and cheaper! I left a review that was not favorable and asked all my personal information be removed from their records. I received a follow up call from the business stating that they had NO personal information but somehow had my phone number. Later in the evening i received an email from them. This means that at one time they DID have my information and were using it. FURTHER, my $20 deposit was kept meaning that they did have access to my credit card information. As for the instructions in the PLEASE NOTE section.... I DID call the number that was left with that wished to discuss the matter. I called and left a message and haven't heard a peep. U Haul states that they have no control over this company and yet here we are asking for a rating on the move-in experience. At this point, it seems that the left hand and right hand are not communicating very well. All I want is my 20 bucks, all my personal information removed and a simple "It is done" email.........
