The employee renting the truck was rude. We had gone to a wrong U-haul address in confusion for pick up, and after we were set straight, called the correct location to say we were late but on the way. The employee was very rude by telling me I had to be there within the next five minutes or he was leaving because he had an appointment. This was at 4:40pm and the store closes at 5pm. Everything had been going wrong with this move, and the added stress from this jerk was not needed. We will never use this location again, and will recommend AGAINST it to all family and friends in the area!

The truck had too many mechanical issues to be on the road, it was a hazzard to all. Also, having equipment that we do not want or need taking up space that we DO need is very annoying. It is a scam to us because we have to use the space where the handtruck is attached, but we Never need to use it. The bag of blankets are also positioned perfectly in our way requiring people to have to strainer to hold objects while ducking underneath them.

Clean out the truck prior to rental.
Also I think it's inappropriate to charge for cosmetic damage to the truck if all you're going to do is stick a little plastic X to mark the spot. For the most part, though I had a good experience. I have used U-Haul before and probably will again. That 69 cents per mile is a killer though on top of having to pay for gas. I did a 360 mile round trip - it really added up. Also - Put a frickin CD player in these trucks! There is nothing to listen to on the radio in the middle of nowhere. This is my third time using U-Haul and really needed a CD player each time. Hopefully newer model trucks will have GPS and Ipod compatibility.

I've rented from this location one time previous to this most recent one, and the owner is just an arrogant prick. He is not attentive
while conducting the transaction, and this last time the truck I rented was very duty, especially the cabin. It was full of cat hair.
Thank god there are other U-haul places in Albany, because I will never rent from this place

I have rented from this location in the past and will continue to in the future as the guy running the place is exceptional. The only thing that would improve the experience would be to not zip tie the dolley and blankets inside the truck. They are in the way when you're trying to load the truck full. I liked when they were set up in the store and you had the option of renting them if needed.

GO WITH CUSTOMER AND CHECK AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS AS STATED. WAS TOLD HAD QUARTER OF GAS WENT 2 MILES AND IT WAS ON EMPTY. DONT BELEAVE WAS.
