the service at the site was fine but the location was hard to find as it had neither a posted number on the highway nor a lit uhaul sign and was buried in a carwash loacation, so difficult to find

No one was present at time of pickup.. TO CALL number posted on door is the phone number of an H&R Block office. Secondary TO CALL number had no voice mail active. After waiting 40 minutes, apparent manager phoned-in to Personal Care CarWash, where location is located, and handled contract via phone. Was to send completed contract to me via email. Never happened. Only saw contract after truck dropped off. Though the day rate is deceptively low ($19.95 vs $23.95 at Budget) the UHaul mileage rate is 30% higher for rental on identical dates. Only advantage was UHaul had 10 foot truck, Budget had only 16 foot which they would have given me at 10 foot rate. Next time I'll taek it

uhaul did a bait and switch on the truck size, as well as pick up location, and pricing. A 14 ft truck was reserved to be picked up at 11:15am on 9/6 in Danbury, CT. Reservation was made via a uhaul representative over the phone w/ emial confirmation. On Friday at 3:30pm, a new email was sent w a 10 ft truck and pick up at 4:30 - neither of which worked. I called u haul direct, and had to go 45+minutes out of my way to pick up the truck. Price was supposed to be 29.95 with 60 free miles and 0.40 mile after the 60 free miles. Uhaul renegged on pricing. I was told I had a farily new truck. I spoke to the uhaul regional office, put on hold for an inordinate amount of time, to w/ NO resolution. I was late, and needed to take the truck. Once I was got to highway, the transmission was slipping v. badly. The truck was a lemon. I want to be remibursed for the biat and switch, getting a bad truck, getting stuck, and having to spend an inoridnate amt of money on gas due to a bad transmission. I will be following up w the president of uhaul.

Light bulb in back cargo area of truck was burned out. This slowed our loading process in the evenings, causing us to have to rent for extra days. We should be comped a day's rental, due to poor condition.

Hard to find, no UHaul person onsite to check in vehicle and provide a receipt, had to drive down unpaved incline to rear of building to park vehicle.

Attendant came to me in the trucj when I pulled in, which is good because it was completely unclear where i was expected to park. Parking location was not inviting, vehicle was not inspected, and I was basically asked for key and that was it. Not very professional at all. Attendant more interested in his phone conversation than in dealing with me.

I returned the truck 3/4 fuel which is how I received it. Yet they charged me $19.00 for additional fuel. Please have them remove the charge.

This was the same place I returned the U-Haul to last year. No one was working in the office. A car wash attendant that I flagged down told me to just park the trailer down the hill behind the car wash and that there was no need to have the trailer checked out for damage or cleanliness. The area behind the carwash is dirty and muddy and there are bays rented out to mechanics, etc., thus there were old cars and car parts all over the parking lot.

I dropped the truck off at 9:45 the location was open but I could not find anyone to return the truck to. An employee at the car wash watched me pull in and saw that I was looking to return the truck, but he was not very helpful at first. I drove the truck to the back of the building and found no one and then back around to the front of the building and still found no one to help me. I then went back to the car wash employee and asked him if he would be able to help me. He said ok, but did not check me in or go over the truck with me and just drove the truck around back.

The cab of the truck was absolutely filthy -- dirt and grit/grime everywhere (no trash). I did not even want to sit in it. And the truck did not run well. If I had had the time I would have insisted on a different truck.

I brought the van back by 7:00 Sunday evening. That was in time for you to rent it out on Monday, it is unfair to charge me for Monday. That means that you got paid twice for Monday! What a racket.

Point out towing package setting and recommend turning it off... I figured it out. Also, point out the special 12V outlet for devices -- I used it for GPS device (very useful).

The truck we received would stick in a particular gear when I pressed on the gas pedal. We were also told over the phone that it was 0.79 per mile but got charged 0.10 cents more once we we onsite. The person in the office on top of it all, charged us almost $10 extra when we returned the truck because he claimed that he gave us the tank on full, which he didn't. The needle was below the full mark and we brought it back the same as we got it. I had the worst experience ever as he argued his point. I guess the next time I rent a truck, which will not be from Uhaul, I will make sure to walk through the "checks" and validate what is in writing!

The good we had a great time in the truck took the kids & got the job done A/C worked great The bad the cab of the truck had close to an inch of dog hair in cup holders gross although the floor mat was clean we could not figure out the fact truck was like this stationed at a car wash ????? also would have perfered a diesel & finaly trying to find out if we left the truck clean & fuel amount good took many days & 4 calls not trying to slam u haul but your 3 questions dont give much room for other answers

There is no signage on the street for the drop off location. After passing the location 3 times, I finally saw a tiny sign in the back of the car wash that said uhaul rentals. I pulled in, and was waved to the back of the building. No-one met me there, and i had to find the office in the front of the building. Very user unfriendly.

When I picked up the truck, there was a warning on the dash that the right rear tire was low. I had to find a place to inflate the tire before my trip. The morning after my trip, the tire was flat and I had to call U-Haul's road service to repair it before I could return the truck. I feel it was the dealer's responsibility to make sure the tires were properly inflated before sending the truck out.

Changed pickup time and was confirmed via email. Went to pickup van and no vehicle was there. Wasted three hours waiting for van that we needed.
