Though I did have a good experience I do have a few concerns. First of all there is no parking when you pick up your rental, that part is sort of exceptable because I know real estate can be expensive. Next is the tank being 3/8th full. What I want to know is why it's not full, 1/2 or even 1/4 full. Seems like a bit of a scam to me to get extra gas out of the customer, and finally $1.11/mile for mileage is really expensive. My mileage was about $15 more than the cost of the rental of the truck. That all being said I did have a good experience with U Haul and will use them in the future but you asked for my opinion so I gave it to you. I know U Haul has to make money.... I just wish it wasn't so much. Tanks for your time

I received various different prices during my booking process and none of them were the $19.95 shown on the side of the vehicle. As a result, I was driving a $19.95/day vehicle for (according to my bill) $78.95/day. Something doesn't add up.

My only comment was that my reservation had been written down only as a four-hour one when I needed it for the day. The fact is though that no one actually ASKED me how long I needed it when I booked it, so I assumed I was getting it for a day, and if I hadn't been able to have it for the day after all, that would have caused a major problem in my plans. But it all worked out.

This truck was in really rough shape. It "screamed" and "squealed" when the brakes were pressed to start the truck. Regardless it did the job I needed done and that's what matters!

The only issue I found was that the back smelled like it was used last for a farming activity and it stunk. Luckily my items did not have to stay in the back of the van for long.

There was no orientation on the operation of the vehicle, also the plug that allows lights to operate on a trailer did not work, resulting in a lengthy delay to our trip. We are not at all happy with the service provided by uhaul, and will not be using uhaul's services again

Agent was unfriendly. I had asked my insurance company if I would be covered on a rental, they said yes. I tried to waive insurance, agent said I needed pink slip to verify. It was in my car at home, because the lot will not allow parking of renters vehicle, so I had to pay insurance. Very upsetting. When I returned, agent asked me did I not check in with someone??? I was checking in with her !! but she assumed I should have checked in somewhere in the yard, I guess and no one was in the yard?? Overall, did not enjoy renting, felt confused -- as if I should know how procedures work at your office and I had never rented from you before this. probable won't again.

The people working there couldn't care less. They made no effort to provide the exact trailer I needed . I had to cope with one not appropriate for my needs. Then, they refused to hook the trailer because one light was not working, until they realized there was a bad contact somewhere on the line. The guy threw the wire back in my trunk and said, : "You've got to go to Canadian Tire to fix it." When I showed him the bad contact and the way to fix it, he did not even apologize. Never again...

2459 Princess St Uhaul is a fucking rip off. I just went in there to rent a pick up truck. When we picked up the truck the gauge was on the 1/4 tank line but off slightly to the left. I had it for less than an hour, and didn't use any gas (when I brought the truck back the gauge was at the same point). Well apparently starting up the truck uses enough gas to put the level down to below the 1/4 line. The rep Steven (who is VERY RUDE) tells us we can either put more gas in or they can charge us $30 flat because we brought it in with less than a 1/4. (Talk about a fucking scam when you take it out at a 1/4 tank) So I go across the street to the gas station. According to UHAUL's estimate on the slip, 6 litres would have filled it from an 1/8 to a 1/4 of a tank. It was nowhere near 1/8 (in fact Steven said "it's just below 1/4"), so I put in 4.5 L. Perfect, its exactly where it was when I picked it up, on the line but just slightly to the left. So I take the truck back, and guess what, he's not happy. "If you want to be a smart ass and put $2 in, then that's not good enough" Well, first of all what a POLITE response Steven. I can tell you really love your job. Actually we put in $6, 4.5L, way more than what is indicated on your receipt for that amount. So guess what? You can charge me the $30 fee for the 20km or less that I drove because a) I really don't have time for this, and b) I prefer the thought of you having to fill it up yourself. Although let's be honest, you're just going to rent it out to someone else tonight for $50 and tell them it's at a 1/4 tank. Moral of the story? Go to enterprise, avis, hertz, or really anywhere else. Just NOT UHAUL. And if Steven or his manager is actually reading this, may I suggest that you learn how not to be a dick? Seriously, you could have handled that A LOT better. If that's too hard for you, you should get out of the customer service industry.

I know it is next to impossible, but maybe have on site or close site parking. Maybe a week special but minimum km charge. Other than that, this is a great place to rent from. Keep up the good work!

I booked help thru the moving help .com link only to find out that there was an additional "travel" fee of $150. I then cancelled the moving help but although my credit card was charged $378.53 I was only refunded $358.10. Not happy

I would add signage to the front door. It is confusing when you walk up to the building, as both doors are non descript and not defined as Customer Entrance, or Storage Entrance. I loved the paper work was ready in 2 minutes from me arriving!!!

Poor customer service, truck had large advertised A/C writting on the side and A/C didn't work. I didn't feel very safe in the "old" truck. Parking area is way too crowded and no room to park my personal vehicle. I received a voice message on my cell telling me that I will need to park in a nearby gas station....Not Impressed

First, I should say that the equipment worked perfectly and the staff were pleasant enough. However, I have a couple of complaints. I needed to rent a truck three times over the past three weeks. The first time, there was a problem with the gas reading. The contract read a certain amount, and the actual gas gauge read lower. The employee made a mark on my contract to show the change, but since I returned the truck after hours, no one was around to see the change made on paper. I was not advised to submit the contract along with the key, and no record was made in my file to show the change. This meant that I was charged an extra $15 for returning the truck without enough gas. On the second time I rented a truck, I pointed out this problem. Rob, the manager, asked me to write on the bottom of my contract that I should be reimbursed the $15, but when I returned the truck, the woman who looked at the contract said she couldn't just reduce my rate because the note was in my handwriting, and no note was in my file from Rob. She said that she would leave a note for Rob to call me. He did not, nor did he return my call when I left two further messages. When I rented the third truck, there was again a problem with the gas gauge reading lower than the level on the contract; this time, I requested that the employee change the contract. The employee was unable to make the change on the computer, but a note was left in my file and I was not charged for extra gas. When I brought up the fact that I was overcharged before, I was told that they could not simply reduce my bill on the current rental, but that a further note would be left. I have still not heard from Rob. I would like to be reimbursed the $15. I would also like to recommend that this location works on their inter-staff communication system and process for checking and recording gas levels in the vehicles. I believe that these are small glitches that this team can work out, and I will continue to use U-Haul.

Your staff was extremely friendly, accommodating, efficient and helpful, going out of their way to make my experience a positive and easy one. This is much appreciated particularly as I was very stressed after moving out of a home I had owned for 29 years and had so many other things to do and focus on. It was a relief that the rental of a van went so smoothly! Well done Rob.
