Reference to question #2, this unit was built in 1990. So had seen a lot of miles. Warning inside trailer says unit is water-resistant and not waterproof. Definitely true. A slight leak near the front of trailer wet a corner of the mattress during a heavy downpour. Have not had that issue with other units I've used in the past while encountering even harder prolonged downpours.

The door to the back of the truck broke and I had to wait four hours. For it to be fixed. Also I was overcharged!!!! I will not be renting a uhaul again!!

Drew, at our location, was an excellent salesman.. Very helpful and was very knowledgable on all equipment. We went right into the store, no hassles, received all our paperwork and was ready to go within 15 minutes. Highly recommend Drew for all your needs.. We rented a 6x12 trailer, for moving, and was very pleased it. No problems.. Would rent again from U-haul without any worries. The Kiele's Lewiston, idaho

This survey is about the uhaul location on Thain road in Lewiston and for the most part they were fine. A few things were annoying like one time I called and left a message for the Uhaul guy because he was busy about how I needed my rental for a few more days and the message never got to him which made it to where I was "late" with my return and had to pay and then renew my contract. Also, I called at 5:01 to speak to Uhaul and he was already gone for the day, he must have ran out the door. Most of all I am writing this survey about Uhaul, not this location. I have had an extremely bad last three weeks and Uhaul did nothing but make things more stressful and they obviously only care about money. But then again, if that were the case then you think they would have been nicer to me after the received a $600 payment from me. But no, they weren't. I have had this truck since the 2nd of August, (19 days) not by choice, but because an apartment complex kept telling me that I could move in the next day, and then things would just come up and I couldn't. Ill end up giving Uhaul just under $1000, so I would think that I would be treated with a little respect or atleast they could show a little customer appreciation. After I had the truck for 11 days, they forced me to come into the store, pay them, and then renew my contract because they wanted money of course. Which I was obviously going to pay them because the truck, FULL of MY belongings, was parked at the Thain road location! With permission of course, so if I was planning on not paying, you think I would have parked it somewhere that you guys couldn't block it in or something. But fine, I paid you $600 at the time, and renewed my contract. THEN, 6 days later,I call and inform the guy that I again needed the truck for a few more days, and he sad that's fine and then I drove to Riggins where I was staying until my apartment was ready. Then I get a call after I get to Riggins saying that I need to renew my contract again because it was "late" and move my truck because it was blocked in for some ridiculous reason. I SHOULDNT have been late, I called and extended my contract, AND why was I blocked in?? I was planning on keeping the truck there until I got my apartment, I WAS NOT PLANNING ON NOT PAYING YOU GREEDY PEOPLE! Which is SO obvious since the freaking truck was sitting at your location! Blocking it in just makes me feel like you think I am some kind of theif for something, EVEN after I just gave you people $600! That just isn't enough, you have to make a pregnant, homeless, stressed out, mother of two already with a broken foot come back into the store to pay you again another $200 and move the truck after I was told that it was ok to keep it there. And then of course, day before yesterday, I call to ask for just one more day because I am FINALLY moving in and was so busy I accidentally called at 5:01 and the guy I guess just sprinted out the door the second that clock struck 5. The rental was great. The person handling the paperwork had some attitude with both me and other employees. He could use some customer service training. Although, he was better when I returned it so not sure what was going on when I picked it up. I would use them again.

The tires on the car hauler were clearly recaps and I mentioned they did not look good. We did not make it 35 miles before one of them disintegrated on the side of a two lane road it took the roadside assistance hours to come with bed tires. We have to wait for 72 hours for anyone from corporate to review our case for compensation. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!!!!!

Drew was great, very informed. When I made arrangements in Moscow I was not told that I would have to drive to Lewiston to pick up the truck, the girl told me I either picked up the truck or she would cancel the reservation. To me this means your employees need some customer service training, because they don't realize who really signs their checks, customers do. But at Erb's Hardware, Drew was wonderful!

I requested a 24' truck weeks in advance. No effort was made from the Spokane office to get the size of truck that I requested and was told I could take a 20' truck or a 10' truck. I even offered to drive 45 miles out of my way to Moscow, ID if a larger truck had been available. I also had to pick the truck up at a location 10 miles from my preferred location, adding mileage to my in town move. Coincidence? The Person at Ace Hardware said he had personally cleaned the windows before pick up. This had to be a lie or his definition of cleaning the windows is not the same as mine. The cab of the truck was filthy and the windows were very dirty.

This was a very poor rental experience: 1. We had to travel 40 miles to a different city to pick up out truck & trailer. 2. Erb's Ace Hardware was not helpful, as they put a trainee on the paperwork for a complex order. 3. Erb's did not stock moving blankets and tried to send us to another city to get some. Ultimately we got some on a different rental contract from our LOCAL Ace hardware, where we should have been able to pick up our truck / trailer. Despite the above, kudos to Uhaul for giving us an extra day and extra miles for the inconvenience of having to pick it up so far away.

Improve consistency from online reservations thru regional center thru location: I reserved a 26' truck online so a exhibitor could bring their presentation to our nonprofit. I confirmed with regional in Spokane that someone else could pick it up andwe'd be billed. Lewiston location charged the driver for the truck. When I called regional in Spokane to reverse the charges to my card the rep said "it's always charged to the driver's card at point of rental". The point is, it wasn't charged to my nonprofit's card as I had been assured it would. I was lied to, or someone at regional is lazy, incompetent, or both. It caused several problems for us on our busiest day. I doubt we'll use U-Haul again.

I had to do the entire transaction over the phone. They gentleman I was working with was new and did the best he could but due to the circumstances they had to call me five + times for a tow dolly. And the dolly was in good shape but was missing the back rubber peices that ensure the s-hooks don't come off. The instructions for use were easy and the dolly worked well. I checked your prices online and while I didn't mind how much it was, I did mind the constant adding of peices that I needed. I would have preferred to gather every needed item and then have one total. You should put the additional insurance costs on the website too so customers can have a better idea of how much it actually is going to cost.

I would recommend this on the pleasantness and help from the people there. the location is a bit tough because the trailers are parked in the inflow traffic to the store and an a bit of a slant.

Worked with Jeramy, a manager, who provided me with excellent service. He went above and beyond to offer good service. I had reserved a 26 ft. Truck. It was available on time and Uhaul's traffic person, Betty had called to advise the pickup location and I received text and email communications from Uhaul on a timely basis. All in all, a very good business experience with Uhaul.
