I wish that they were more clear about the overnight drop "buffer" window. (This is your policy of not charging extra if I return the vehicle early the next day.) It would've saved a bit of strife. But I really love the chill and straight-up atmosphere of this place

Been through several times and always a line. Only one counter agent working, but still slow service to bring up the truck. I think the last person was supposed to tell me or ask me where I should drop off the truck in another city but didn't.

I would not at this time because my place I was moving to was not ready (the truck only traveled 12miles) from U-Haul to my address & back to U-Haul. I was told I was being charged $80 on 4/4/2014, the final bill charged was $173.61 not satisfied.

During the reservation process I reserved a 26 ft truck and then later told it was not available. I then settled for a 24 Ft truck . When I picked up the truck I was informed it was not available. Unfortunately for me I was force to make multiple trips, which added to my cost of completing a job with a truck which was in sufficient to begin the job..... I extremely dissatisfied with your services an added expenses. Uhaul business practices are due for reevaluation.

This u gaul and all of its team members are laY and do not care much about their customers, work or jobs. They are sloppy and take all the time they want qhen otgera arw on a schedule. George the manager there always bribes us in order to get done faster or start a job fpr us when we call. Aome one should be fired immediatly..

I had the most horrible experience on Saturday, April 5, 2014 ever at UHaul 5330 International Blvd. Oaklsnd, California. The UHaul was most un professional in that she not only gave false information to me in front of a store filled with other angry customers, she gave false information to me numerous times. Two weeks prior to that date, I reserved a 26foot truck for Saturday April 5,2014 pick up. Although there was a mix up in the time, they were a hour behind schedule given others angry customer in the store that same day complaining about having had an 8AM appointment and it was now. 9AM. The Agent whom assisted me, smiled and even laughed at the fact that she stated that my truck hadn't yet been returned and that her corporate office instructed her to offer me a 14 foot truck in the place of it with a $50 refund at a $19.99 rate. I explained that I wanted the truck that I rented that was on their lot. Their lot agent said the 26 foot truck was out there and she told him that one was broken. Because of the time and pressure, I felt accepting her offer at that time was my only option. While waiting on their lot for a family member, we notice the same lot agent driving the. 26 foot truck and handing over the keys to the white couple that was way behind us in the line. This was totally unacceptable. My Fiancé went to question the lot agent about it being broken and not rentable and the lot agent threw his hands in the air and said that he did have anything to do with it and that he was just doing his job. All of this took place with the store manager present. Upon returning the truck, I was charged $250 for what was suppose to cost $39.99 a day and $1.09 a mile. I feel like I was robbed in a major way. I will never ever recommend this UHaul Store to anyone and I am copying this complaint and Posting it on Yelp and all the other rating websites. Have a nice day.

This location is in the middle of the ghetto of Oakland and even I the middle of the day we were uneasy here. I brought back boxes for there "no worry, buy back guarantee" and since I didn't have my receipt she would only give me an I store credit. That is ridiculous. It says uhaul right on the box, obviously they are your product. We were not told to bring in our receipt. And we live an hour from this location.

Having reserved quite a few trailers at various locations in CA and NV, my biggest complaint has to do with the amount of information you have to give to the cashier even though it has already been entered online in filling out the reservation. It seems this would streamline the process and speed up check out time. Get with it Uhaul!

Corporate needs to have better communication with their branches. We were given the run around to multiple locations after our reservation was not fulfilled. And then we ended up having to rent a truck that was more expensive than the one we had reserved. The truck we ended up having to rent almost died on the freeway. Next time we will just take out business to Penske or Budget instead of wasting our time and money on Uhaul.

Include gas in the rental cost at a competitive rate. I was told the fee would be $30 + $5 a gallon, which is high and makes filling by the customer almost mandatory.

An hour before scheduled pick up, they called and nonchalantly stated our truck did not return, so we would have to call later to see if it had arrived. Uh . . . NO -- "we have movers arriving in two hours, find me a replacement." Fifteen minutes later I called back but nothing had been done, as the rep was "waiting on [her] manager to arrive." So I had to call the U-Haul traffic division myself and speak to the dispatcher about getting a replacement. Thankfully there was a "cancellation" of the exact truck we reserved and we made the move on time. We will be using another company next time.
