May want to consider moving the vehicle return lane to the other side of the bldg so the counter attendants can see when the vehicle arrives or install an intercom system at the current location.

This experience was probably one of the most unpleasant transactions I've had with uHaul to date. My entire transaction for a uBox was booked online. At the time of my booking, I used the online customer service chat to speak with a representative about payment details. My only question was if I was able to pay cash for the uBox since the balance would be a bit too large for my credit card limit. The online representative was very helpful, and informed me I was able to pay cash at the time I book my uBox shipment. No biggie.
However, the real horror for me came to when I had to deal directly with my local uHaul. Everything began falling apart instantly.
I opted for the service to go to uhaul myself and have the ubox hitched to my vehicle. At my own fault, I believed that uhaul still attached a temporary hitch onto vehicles, and that I did not need a hitch on my vehicle. I was incorrect, this I understand, so on my first day of going down to Uhaul Scranton, I was told that I needed to come back with a vehicle with a hitch. Like I said, no big deal--my mistake. I was told that any vehicle with a hitch would work. My father and I got on the phone, made some calls, and got a hold of a friend with a hitch. An hour later I was back down uhaul to get the ubox hitched. Unfortunately, my father's friend drove a Ford Explorer. Apparently uhaul no longer hitches anything to Ford Explorers because of a pending lawsuit. Well, this I can understand, but the person at Scranton uHaul didn't mention this to us at the time we originally left. In fact, we were told that it can be hitched to any vehicle with a hitch. Well, now, I've driven to and from Scranton uHaul twice. Again, we had to contact further friends to get another person with a hitch. Well thank goodness that we found someone with a Dodge Ram, which was able to be hitched without an issue. Now, on my third drive to uHaul, I had a proper vehicle. No big deal.
However, the booking process began and once again there were issues. My main reason for choosing a uBox was that the website states that it's 'pack at your convenience and return to us when ready for 14.95 per day.' Well, my local uhaul employee first asked me when I would be returning this uBox. I explained that I wasn't sure how soon it would be. I was then asked if it would 'be a day' to pack. I replied no, it wouldn't. I was then told that the most they can let me have this uBox is 48 hours due to 'certain stipulations.' At this point I was a bit angered, and I explained that the website boasts about packing at one's convenience. Again, these 'stipulations' are mentioned. I then ask, 'OK, what are the stipulations, then?' The response I received, verbatim was, "I don't know. My general manager, Brian, handles all of the ubox booking and information, and he is not currently working today." At this point I was furious. Three employees were working at the time, yet NONE of them could tell me what these 'stipulations' were that I was boun

I had scheduled a pick-up at 10am and I arrived at 9:59am but did not get out of there till 11:15 bec. there's only one associate taking care of people and 3 people ahead of me even though i did all my reservations on-line and confirmed same via phone

The gentleman who helped me hook up the trailer went above and beyond the UHaul line of duty. When a blown fuse parented the trailer lights from lighting, he demonstrated diligence in his tracking down of the problem. Young and fit, he maneuvered like a gymnast to get to that fuse box and he was successful!

Need better communication on when equipment can be picked up and return drop off time. I was notified the day before that the truck was not avaialble until 12:00 and was due back at 12:00 two days later. I called and was advised this is the earliest I could pick up. I did receive a call later that allowed an earler pick up. However I never received a revised drop off time and dropped the truck before the original 12:00 drop off time but was charged an extra day because the drop off time changed to 8:44 on the return date. This was not communicated at all.

The new facility in Scranton, PA was beautiful and alot more functional. The customer service was excellent as always, (I have rented from this location several times). The GMC truck I rented was brand new and wonderful. The whole experience at your Scranton store was very satisfying. Well Done.

for a 19.95 a day truck it still cost over a 100 dollars for the truck the mileage is to expensive plus the cost of gas
