I booked an enclosed trailer 2 weeks prior to pickup. At time of pickup I was advised that the central dispatch in the U.S. did not properly process my order therefore leaving me without a trailer . The nearest trailer was 50 miles each way out of my way and would need to be picked up by myself at my cost. Apparently it is a common for U haul dispatch to double book equipment and leave the depot to deal with the mess. I feel this was a huge inconvenience especially considering the charges for a 6x12 trailer for a 300 mile move was $375 including insurance.

and again these people were very understanding and kind. i rolled into town late and had no time to unload and get the trailor back on time. so they stayed open late for me so i could get my deposit back and they did it with a smile... U HALL YOU ARE AWESOME !!!!!

Considering the winter conditions, it would have been great if the moving truck would have had winter tires mounted. The wheels were spinning on the snowy and icy driveway on our property, while backing the empty truck into the loading position; it took more than an hour to get her in place. The terrain around our house is flat and so it was where I unloaded. Would there have been some sort of gradient manouvering the truck would have been impossible. I have to say that I was close on giving up, calling you guys to ask for another unit with proper tires.
Even more so, I consider myself very lucky that the weather was nice and the roads clear of snow and ice while driving through the mountains from Banff, AB, to Radium Hot Springs, BC.

We appreciated the excellent customer service that Manny at Automile Car Wash & Detailing extended to us. He was very helpful and guaranteed that we would get the truck we asked for and allowed us to pick it up after normal hours. Job well done!

Unit was dirty from previous moves. Engine needed a tune up. By the end of our move it was running very poorly. U-haul should make customers aware of the laws and minimum requirements for vehicles, ie: mountainous terrain. I traveled through an area where tires chains and or winter tires were required. When one gets stopped by the authiorities the fine goes to the driver and the tow bill is also the drivers responsibility. Why would a person what to rent a piece of equipment which is illegal to travel with in the province or state traveled in. This would make any customer furious with the company and make one wonder what kind of incompetant people are at the helm. The agents are doing a better job at their end of the business than the coporation is.

See to it, that the unit is washed on the exterior (unit was very muddy), and cab interior was not cleaned out from previous rental, (pop cans, paper coffee cups, bottle caps, lncluding liquer cap, and an ashtray half full). Truck and car wash is at the U-HAUL depot facility. Otherwise, no problem.

we put gas back into the uhaul it was at 1/8 of a tank when we picked it up and over that when we returned it the man made my husband put more into it and when he told the man now there is way more fuel he said OH we have used uhaul for every move we have ever done and this might make me rethink it greed store keepers make people stay away

The owner of the Automile Carwash was extremely helpful when we returned the 10' truck to his location.
He was quite shocked that the person in Lacombe tried to give us a truck that was potentially unsafe.
