This was a horror show. I called to set up an appointment for hitch installation but was told my particular hitch was not in stock. As I had a need quite quickly given a confirmed departure date for vacation 6 days later, I agreed at their request to pay for express shipping of the part. I provided my credit card and the appointment was confirmed. Days later, on the night before the appointment this shop called and asked what the appointment was about. As the alarm bells went off, I said I had talked to them days prior for hitch installation, and had paid for express shipping to guarantee the installation. The gentleman on the phone said I had not talked directly with the shop, but with "the call center in Phoenix", and it looked like they had dropped the ball and not ordered the part. (No mention of why the local shop didn't know what the appointment was about). The local person explained here wasn't another part within 300 miles, and while they were sorry, they couldn't get me in until after my planned departure date. I told the gentleman this was unacceptable since we had a fixed date for towing our boat and couldn't wait around for them to get their act in order. After that call ended, I called the shop number back to see what else could be done. I got the "call center in Phoenix" again, who explained to me they couldn't connect me to the shop because it was after closing. I said I had just had a call with the shop minutes before. I was told they couldn't connect me but could text the shop. I'd had enough. What can you do? How about checking on orders, confirming parts shipments, tracking appointment needs with your local shops etc., etc., etc..
