Get trucks that have better gas mileage. I drove 92 miles, and I used 14 gallons. That's about 7 miles per gallon. That's not very good fuel economy.

The truck broke down on me, shorty after leaving for my destination. My daughter and I were stranded, with ALL of our house belonging's in the truck. How do you think I felt. Will I use U-HAUL again? I will leave that for you to answer.

The U-Haul truck was not ready on time! It was ready for pick-up 2 hours late, at a different location, far from my house. The truck was in poor condition, possibly a transmission problem, the gears ground and it shook. Several of the lights were working improperly. The rental was supposed to be for a 24 hour period- I received a call from a male employee at the 6th street location complaining that my U-Haul wasn't returned on time because they had overbooked. I returned the truck 1 hour late ( because I had to pick it up two hours late, which caused the timing to be off for my helpers) and was charged for an entire extra day. My experience was poor in general. I will not rent from U-Haul again unless I am reimbursed for the extra day.

I'm not sure how or why this happened, when I arrived at U-Haul, they were out of trucks and didn't have one for us. They told us they would call us if they had one come in. I did use my credit card to put the truck on hold. This is the 2nd time I've used them and this was by far the worse. I would work on your logistics software as its a nightmare to move and you're not helping by delaying people's moving schedules.

Easy and fast.. The lady that hooked up the trailer was super nice. And efficient. Reserving was a hassle and giving all the info just to track a trailer over rhe phone was extensive.

The guy I delta with rushed through the set & didn't take the time to walk me through the trailer. When I got to my destination, I realized that I had no idea how to unhook the trailer & I didn't have any of the necessary equipment to unhook & leave it parked without my truck attached. Luckily, I found some help. Unrelated to this location: at our destination the trailer developed a flat tire. Rather that calling for help, you HAVE to go through the website. It stated that someone would come help in an hour! I waited an 90min & no one came. A passer-by helped will a little air, enough to get me back to my hotel. Half way to the hotel I got a call that they were FINALLY on the way. 2 hours later! Of course I told them never mind. I honestly don't think I will ever recommend Uhaul for a long distance move. When you are moving to new city/state where you have no friends or family, you expect the company to "have your back" & Uhaul definitely doesn't have their customer's backs.

It was a bit overpriced by the time I was done. For the price that I paid for a UHaul local rental, I could have rented a Penske truck with a liftgate. The truck almost didn't start twice and almost died on the road. The ABS light came on for a while then shut off 10 minutes later. I got charged an extra $14 for a dolly that I didn't order or want. The fuel guage was broken in the truck and always showed between 1/2 & 7/8. Also I think that the odometer was broken because I was charged for 50ish miles when I moved 5 miles from my old house, 2 trips = 20 miles + 12 miles round trip from the UHaul place. 32 miles max. I got rooked. Never again will I rent UHaul. For $200 more I could have had movers. Oh well, I live & learn.

Hand trucks should not be placed in trucks unless they are requested. Waste of space and tripping hazard.
